I'm a former iPhone user now using the Droid. The differences between the two are minimal but there are a few things here and there that could be fixed on the Android. Sometimes when I touch the screen to scroll through something, my phone will jump and scroll all the way to the bottom of the list, then I have to scroll back up just to get back to where I wanted to go. Another is that with the touch screen keyboard, I seem to hit the period a lot when wanting to hit the space bar. It would be better to remove the smiley key from the bottom right and replace it with the period key and extend the space bar. Although, I'm sure this could easily be avoided with the shapewriter app Tow mentioned. I also think the way you play and access videos and music is better on the iPhone. The last issue I have is that my battery meter seems to be off a bit. Occasionally I'll have the red battery bar displaying alerting me I have to charge my phone even thought I know the phone is fully charged and it will eventually shut off. Once I turn it back on, the battery meter is reading full and will operate as it should. This may be just a defect with my phone though. I still however, have no regrets at all about switching to the Droid. For one, I have better reception and I love that I can easily customize my UI without having to jailbreak it. The market is growing fast and you can now have almost any app available on the iPhone on your Droid as well. Also, it seems like the iPhone has reached it's pinnacle as it hasn't really done much feature wise with it's latest releases. Seems like most updates have been to fix something or add features that should have already been included to begin with. The Android however, because of it's open source operating system has limitless possibilities. The Android I believe, allows the owner more control over their phone, which was the main thing I disliked about the iPhone.
And by the way, the unlimited data plan with AT&T was never really unlimited and if you were already under the unlimited plan, you could stick with it and not have to switch over their new data plans.
What I don't understand from any cell phone provider is the ridiculous amount they charge for text messaging when text messaging is just another form of transferring data. I have AT&T with an unlimited data plan, yet I still have to pay extra for unlimited text messaging... it just makes no sense to me. Maybe it's another way to get more money out of the consumer.

You socom fans seem to be stuck on Socom 2 and 3 while us CoD fans seem to be stuck on MW1. What I wonder is why couldn't the developers just fix the small things that were wrong and improve the game, rather than reinvent the whole fucking thing!
I'm primarily a CoD fan and I don't like the fact that someone could knife me from 20 feet away, or that now you just shoot a launcher through a window to kill someone instead of getting close and throwing in a nade or that you must now use a noob tube to unlock shit which only promotes the use of noob tubing (i really love it when people use it with one man army for unlimited supply of grenades). I especially love the fact that when I snipe and I have a guy locked in on my crosshairs and shoot and miss, only to then have him shoot me back and BOOM! had shot! i'm dead. I look at the kill cam and his bullet landed 2 feet away from the top of my head... how the fuck does that happen? Now the cool thing is to drop a nuke, so you have people roasting marshmallows while they camp more so they can get their 25 kill streak. I remember when getting 30-40 kills in MW1 was an accomplishment, now anything below that on MW2 and you're considered a noob. In MW1, you had to work for your UAV... now anyone can have their own little personal UAV right on their gun and if that wasn't enough, you can even silence your weapon too with the Bling perk!
MW1 seemed so "basic" compared to all the new features that MW2 has. I wished they would have just polished the game up a bit instead of reinventing the whole thing. I'm sure you guys would have been happy with an updated version of Socom 2 or 3, but instead got CA >.>

One of the sweetest lefty swing ever..I sometimes didn't care for his attitude but, what he has done in his career is great...oh what it might been with out all the injuries when he was with the Reds.
That's easy... he would have shattered almost every batting record out there.

To me Junior is #4, unless you slap an * after Barry...
He was the image of baseball in the 90's. His stretch of baseball in Seattle was one of the greatest performances by any player in any decade. He was just SO great and above the steroids era. One of the true heroes of the Steroids Era that NEVER needed to use Roids to be a great ball player. It's unfortunate what happened to his body when he went to Cincinnatti, but that's what is SUPPOSED to happen to your body after the wear and tear when you hit your 30's. Not like some steroid induced players that last until their 40's and in some cases put up better numbers in the ladder stages of their career (see Roger Clemens/Barry Bonds). Just imagine how good he could have been if injuries didn't play such a huge role in the 2nd half of his career. He'd be number 1, no doubt.
Griffey is and always will be a class act. I sure hope this isn't the last we see of him in the baseball world. Perhaps as an analyst or as a coach. This is a sad day for the game of baseball.
Very well said! Unfortunately, he will be bumped down to #6 on the list when another steroid user named Arod passes him. The "kid" will go down as one of the greatest of all time!

Crucible is awesome and I love that they have different scenarios for each game. I remember playing Crash/Domination/Shotguns only.... capturing B by the plane with everyone in the middle running around with shotguns was fun as hell!
-
Will the Crucible count as a qualifier?
-
hahaha... their spanish counting was impressive... only made it to 10

i don't see how people can seriously get so upset over what someone is saying that they don't even know. All it really is is smack talk taken to another level and that because your not face to face with the person. if you don't like it then mute people or don't play with a headset. as long as little kids are playing games online you will never be able to play any game and not hear it so it's pointless for people to constantly complain about the speech in online gaming. it's never gonna change so if you can't learn to mute and ignore the immature people with mics then don't play online at all.
I also complain about the heavy traffic in the mornings on my way to work. Does this mean I should quit my job, sell my car and stay at home 24/7?
-
With people coming and going after each game, it gets tiring having to mute everyone all the time. I wish PSN would add a feature to have everyone automatically muted unless they are on your friend's list. Until then, the mute everyone option is the best way to go to avoid idiots in pubby rooms.

Maryland. The "yes, we're below the mason dixon line but damn it we're not inbred hicks so dont lump us with the south" state
-
Yeah... the ignoring part is easy... but it's annoying!!! lol The funny thing is that it's always someone else that just starts talking smack for no reason. We don't say a word to anyone else in the lobbies aside from gg and gl, but there's alway that one person that just needs to start running his mouth for no reason. And it gets even worse when they lose badly... oh you should hear the excuses as to why they lost and how we still "suck" even though we won by a big margin lol

All of these software that mikejaxon mentioned are great, but for added security, you should always download them from Download.com since they always run a scan on all their software uploaded to their system and always have the most up to date one. You never know when you might be redirected to a malicious website advertising an anti-spyware software and you're not going to be getting what you're expecting.

These things are trick and all, but I don't see how they make you better?
It's not like you need more leverage to push the stick over with a cheater bar
I mean, with all of the in-game aim assist in console versions of the COD series and the massive area for hit detention (which sometimes appears to be outside of the target's body)... I don't see how this would make it easier to play when there is already a handicap? To me, it would just take longer to move the stick from side to side...
The idea behind it is that by lengthening the stick, the distance from top to bottom/side to side becomes greater without changing the actual angles of rotation. Because of this, moving the stick x mm results in a smaller resulting movement of your crosshairs. You are able to be much more precise because each movement results in a smaller resulting reaction. It's not the leverage that's helpful, rather the ability to make smaller, more precise movements that are possible with a shorter stick. The time spent moving the stick shouldn't change much, but it should help with making more precise and smooth movements with less "oversteer", so to speak.
Seems like it would be a waste of money to buy this achieve this effect when you can just change the sensitivity feature to low and get the same results. I can see how it would be more comfortable for some though.

what virus are/were you all getting? what virus did UF find being propagated via an ad partner, if any?
I posted a screenshot of the trojan I got which was the Antispyware soft one. It sucked to remove it since I couldn't kill the process. It took over a lot of things and would automatically shut down andy anti-spyware software I wanted to use and even killed the task manager when I called it up to try and kill the process. I had to search all over the place for ways of getting rid of this thing since it wouldn't even let me use anti-spyware remove software in safe mode. Finally I found a little script called rkill that basically kills any trojan process and then I was able to use my software to get rid of it.
The worst part of this is that I check this site from work and working for the government, I got some not so nice emails from the admins regarding the trojan.

I can definitely agree with this. People in these games go way too far and start talking shit for no reason. I've noticed that it does tend to happen more when you are running with several clan mates and all have the same clan tag. People love taking jabs at clans.
I think there is a very simple solution to all of this though and I think its a feature that would use all the time: Add the option of allowing only friends to chat with you in game. This way, you would never hear anyone else in public rooms and for the most part, I really don't care to hear anyone else. All they will do is talk shit anyways and I usually have 5 other guys with me in public rooms so its already guys on my friend's list and there's no need for me to chat with the opposing team.

Damn, I'm not a big fan of vacant either. Like someone said, its just going to be a shotgun fest which I hate since the shotgun requires no skill. Just shoot without having to aim and the guy is dead. Strike is a decent map, provides for a lot of tactical play, but I really wanted pipeline.
-
Well, for once i won't complain too much about xbox always getting everything first... but I'd rather have their systems break than ours ;D
Any idea which 2 old maps are coming back?
I wouldn't mind having crossfire and pipeline ;D

If this helps any, this is the trojan that I got from here 2 days ago... I don't really know what ad it came from though:
-
That looks really really good! How is the setup with this and the tv?
-
I've done several pre-orders from best buy in the past. I'll pre-order ahead of time and on the day of the release, I just show up with the email they sent me, my drivers license and the credit card i bought it with and they give me my game right then and there. I haven't had a problem pre-ordering games from my local best buy, but I have heard stories from others that they didn't get their game in time and had to wait an extra day or two to get it. I think it all depends on each individual store and how they operate.
-
I just went to the Rent-a-center website to see if the ps3 was actually $2,500... but they don't even list the prices for any of their items. It must be that damn high that they don't want to scare anyone off before committing lol

Dreamweaver produces a lot of redundant code. Like someone mentioned, it could get pretty messy. HTML is not a hard language to learn. You could possibly learn it in a week and then just use Notepad for edits.
