There are some really great open world games on pc these days. You would have to expand beyond just shooters though. Civilization, silent hunter, dayz, company of heroes etc

They are different types of games but all let you choose how you want to play them. Consoles have become more and more driven by kids over the years.

So..I'm really digging this game so far, but I'm concerned about clans/wars. Doesn't look like any clan support which isnt a huge deal, but no private rooms is. It seems like a party/lobby might be able to hold 10 people for a 5v5 but not sure if that works like that. Maybe a clan with 10 people can try it or something.

 

Other than that this to me is a faster paced classic socom in first person perspective. I really like it so far, its so skill based which is great.

It should be similar to socom since socom pretty copied all of it and changed it to third person. Lol

The thing you can expect about CSGO is that you won't see another CS game anytime soon. There was an 8 year gap between CS Source and CSGO.

Not necessarily true valve is a top tier developer and if there is a market for their game they will most likely expand on it. The reason why it's been so long is because Gabe from valve has never been a big fan of consoles and if it's not broke don't fix it. Counter strike source is consistently one of the top games played on steam most of the time beating out games like cod for player counts.

Asus makes quality products. Don't confuse them with Acer though.

How about having a hard drive large enough so that you never have to own another disc again.. While we're at it let's digitally distribute all our games so that you never have to leave the house to buy a game again and devs can have more flexibility with pricing. Oh wait PC already has that never mind. lol

Personally, I would have tried selling my body first, but us women are clever like that. Leave it up to a man to go giving away a vital organ. He definitely wasn't thinking smarter.

I am hoping this will be the first COD to sell less copies than the previous. I am gonna buy two copies of BF3 and and pass on MW3 to try to help with a downfall.

I got the same thing. It shut down my browser and this pop-up came up and "Windows" wanted to scan. I said no and it started scanning anyways. I don't have a clue what ad it was but it was that typical "Windows has detected a virus and needs to scan" virus.

I have seen those before where they look very much like windows updates but they aren't.

I am installing infamous right now from the welcome back program.. go into the store and check your downloads. I had all kinds of errors trying to get these games though. The psn store is getting hammered.

Pick up a copy of CS Joe.. You won't doubt it anymore. Another way is you could watch one or a hundred of the 10 bazillion videos of CS on youtube.

I have a couple of good places for gun game, 16k no awp no auto and then regular servers where you have to actually earn your money. The numbers crush just about anything else on Steam.

the engine is capable. when you die is CS you can follow people in killcam in 3rd person. have you seen the mods available for halflife1/2? some aren't even fps. it can do a lot.

Didn't even think about that.. And I own the game. Silly me lol Yes the source engine is pretty impressive and I have heard that they are working on a source 2 engine. One thing that I can say is even though the graphics are a little dated and simple in CS when I run them at 120+ FPS it makes everything alright.

I wish the guy luck but it's hard for me to believe that the TWO videos he posted are nothing more then stolen Confrontation Alpha tests. If he wanted to prove that he can do it, he should have used an S2 exclusive map?

 

But I am rooting for him/them.

That sound when the character walks is pure unmistakeable counter strike. I'm just wondering how did he make a mod that turned a first person game into a 3rd person game. That's pretty impressive to me.

I use twitter to follow sports reporters, game Devs & porn stars. It's pretty useful for news and the occasional dirty pic.
