Sins of the Flesh is the next update for our darkly cute cult sim Cult of the Lamb, and it’s the biggest yet. As well as a shrine-load of killer new content and a congregation of quality of life improvements, a deliciously evil new resource has been thrown into the macabre mix: Sin. But how do you generate it? Well, by sinning.
Play VideoThe free Sins of the Flesh update adds a selection of decadent new structures to Cult of the Lamb, which when built in your base and enjoyed by you and your followers will reward your cult with lashings of delectable, so-wrong-it’s-right Sin.
Take the Drinkhouse, for example. Here a follower can volunteer to mix up drinks and serve them to your thirsty cultists. Terrifying treats on the menu include Brog Brew, Grape Nectar, Eggnog, and, uh, Poop Juice. Tasty! Imbibing these sugary beverages at the Drinkhouse has a risk of befuddling your followers, but every dubious drink they hurl down their adorable necks will generate sweet, sweet Sin.
You can also form a devilish Drum Circle with your followers, which will let you take part in Sins of the Flesh’s all-new rhythm-based minigame. The better your performance, the more Sin you’ll get in return. You’ve heard of Rock Band… this is Flock Band.
But let’s be honest: the real star of the update is the Mating Tent. If two of your followers are into each other, and have a sufficiently high love match, you’ll be able to send them into the tent together. A few seconds later they’ll emerge with an egg, which can either be harvested for food or, best of all, hatched into a tiny new follower. This dinky disciple will share some traits with its parents, and its birth can generate Sin.
Gather enough Sin and you can perform a series of new Rituals, including the free-spirited Rite of Lust. This will cause your followers to cast their robes aside and dance merrily around a flowery shrine. But if it’s chaos you desire, the new Rite of Wrath ritual might be more your speed. This unleashes a fury of violence, with fighting, killing, vandalism, and other scenes of havoc gripping your base.
This is just a brief, tantalizing taste of what you can do with Sin. There are other dark deeds to discover in the Sins of the Flesh update, including a selection of new Sin-based Doctrines and a troubling new food source that is not for the weak of heart—or weak of stomach. You can discover this, and more, for yourself (if you dare) when Sins of the Flesh launches for PS4 and PS5 on January 16.

Yakuza is a storied franchise that keeps on giving. Each installment in the series leading to 2020’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon has offered something new and innovative, along with consistently satisfying expansions to the evergrowing story of main characters Kazuma Kiryu and Ichiban Kasuga.
I’m glad to say that after a hands-on preview of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the trend continues. There is almost too much here for Yakuza fans, both new and old, to sink their teeth in and enjoy. This latest entry features a fusion of the series’ original beat-em-up and current turn-based roleplaying style, an island-building mode, and even more charm than ever.
With all this present and more, I’ve found that the title Infinite Wealth might just describe everything the game offers and how long it may last. Read on for a few highlights revealed during my gameplay session.
Get your walking shoes (and segways) ready
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the first title in the Yakuza series to take our favorite motley crew out of Japan and into new territory. Kasuga and Kiryu’s missions lead them to this new location: Honolulu, Hawaii, where they decide to team up.
Not only is this locale full of many new sights, sounds, allies, and enemies, but it is the most extensive map ever featured in the Yakuza series. It was so large that during my hours of playing, I wasn’t even able to explore even half the map. There’s no dead air to be found here. Enemies, missions, activities, and lively characters surround each corner. The only decision you have to make is what to tackle first.
Your friendly neighborhood ex-Yakuza
Personality points are nothing new to Like a Dragon, but Infinite Wealth gives a new way to allow Kasuga to move up the ranks. By being a friendly and outgoing tourist, you can constantly grow friendships with Honolulu’s population and boost your personality levels each time.
All it takes is a simple hello. By pressing square when walking by certain marked NPCs, Kasuga will release a welcoming, Helloooo! and get a good response back. Sometimes, these greetings will even unlock a small task like buying a kid a hot dog, which grants Kasuga a more significant personality increase. These increases unlock extra abilities like more skill slots, enhanced resistance to status ailments, better healing, and more guts. Plus, it’s just charming to make Kasuga into an even nicer guy than he already is.
Tourism buffs
Being a good tourist isn’t limited to just greeting bystanders. Kasuga and the gang eventually find a tourism company called Alo Happy Tours. Specified for Japanese visitors touring Hawaii, Alo Happy Tours is a place where you can pay to jump into activities like surfing, yoga, and fire dancing. But these vacation sessions aren’t just for fun.
Each new skill learned through Happy Tours leads the party to unlock a new job and fighting style. For example, learning to fire dance unlocks an attacking mage style, learning to host gives access to a buffing support job, and learning to be a pop idol lets characters heal and cure allies. And there are so many activities and styles to learn that it felt nearly endless. Not to mention the amount of party combos you can come up with.
Past wishes fulfilled
Kasuga isn’t the only one with a new way to unlock abilities through means other than fighting or the usual activities. Kiryu’s new ailment and decision to not get treatment have put his life on a clock. With his new friends Seong-Hui and Yu Nanba, he’s decided not to let it go to waste and tackle a bucket list before he checks out.
This bucket list isn’t just a plot element, but a gameplay mechanic. Kiryu can awaken his soul (Brawler fighting style), tech (Rush fighting style), and body (Beast fighting style) by completing items from this bucket list. Whether it’s a simple fishing trip or tasting some food he’s always wanted to taste like candy, Kiryu’s strength grows by living life to the fullest. I nearly shed a tear when he talked about everything he wanted to do without the fear and need of trying to look cool for people around him.
A game within a game
View and download imageTo round out the hands-on time with Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, I visited Dondoko Island, which can be best described as an entirely different game within Infinite Wealth. This island build and curation segment of the title tasks Kasuga with going around an island on the verge of obscurity. Being the nice guy he is, he decides to take matters into his own hands, helping its owner clean up trash, build new attractions, and bring visitors and life back to Dondoko.
If you’ve ever played a building simulator, then you know what you’re in for here. As soon as this mode started, I was hooked. Walking around and decorating the island in my own style, gathering supplies to create new items, catching fish and bugs, and fending off enemies were some of the most addicting elements I was exposed to so far in Infinite Wealth. And the fact that we’ll be able to visit the islands of other players makes the whole thing even more exciting. I’m just scared that my life might become absorbed by this mode so much that I won’t even finish the RPG side of the game.
Join Kasuga and Kiryu’s variety-packed trip to Hawaii when Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth drops on PS5 January 26.

“Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but inside it’s so delightful…” As much as these words are commonly associated with winter snowstorms, inclement weather and the general harshness of the great outdoors are year-long concerns. Be you gripped in the icy embrace of winter or hit with the heat of a summer’s sun, there’s one tried and true method to keep warm or stay cool, and that’s settling in at home with video games by yourself or with friends. And when things outdoors are getting nasty, it’s the comfy games that hit that sweet spot the strongest. Whether you’re curled up on the sofa or bed, with DualSense controller or PlayStation Portal in hand, here’s some suggestions of games to boot up when you need some soothing experiences to battle the dreariness of the outside.
Play VideoStardew Valley
The benchmark for farming and life-sim style games, Stardew Valley is an indie megahit that’s won over the hearts and minds of millions of players across the globe. You’ve inherited a small plot in Pelican Town, part of the titular Stardew Valley, and you’re on a personal quest to turn this scrap of land into a fancy farm. Build, harvest, explore, gather, craft, and maybe even strike up a little bit of romance with your neighbors–it’s a great way to feel the fun and invigoration of a warm spring day any time of the year.
Play VideoTchia
Many of us long for a tropical getaway during a sub-zero day in the dead of winter. Tchia whisks players away to a beautiful island archipelago inspired by the real-life territory of New Caledonia. Young protagonist Tchia must search for her kidnapped father. She’s a very athletic young lady, and an expert at rafting, gliding, and the ukulele, but her real gift is using a very special ability: Soul Jumping. By Soul Jumping into objects and creatures, she can control them and use their unique abilities in a myriad of ways and fully explore these beautiful but dangerous lands.
Play VideoSeason: A Letter to the Future
The impending end of the world might sound like the exact opposite of a calm and cozy experience, but Season offers a very different approach. In this atmospheric, emotionally charged third-person exploration/adventure game, you’ll hop on your bike and set out to do everything you can to preserve the lives, traditions, words, and memories of those soon fated to fade into history. Using notebooks, cameras, and recorders to capture the details of a culture’s daily existence, you’ll strive to preserve a memory of life as it was for those in the future. It’s a perfect game to play when you’re lying in bed, longing for the warm melancholy of autumn’s beginning.
Play VideoVenba
Our memories of seasons, cultures, and family are inextricably intertwined with food. Venba explores these complex feelings through the eyes of an East Indian family uprooting everything and moving to Canada during the 1980s. As cultural ideas and expectations clash around mother Venba and her young son Kevin, the narrative advances through mother/son cooking sessions that require piecing together recipes through cookbook clues and Venba’s memories. It’s the perfect game to pop on the PlayStation Portal after you’ve spent the day prepping a nice hot meal.
Play VideoLEGO Builder’s Journey
Too cold and windy to make a snowman? Too hot to hit the beach and build a sandcastle? Calm your need to construct with a charming puzzle-solving and free-building escape to a serene LEGO world. In LEGO Builder’s Journey, you can solve a series of three-dimensional puzzles with the careful clack and oh-so-satisfying snap of Lego pieces. Or, if you want to build your own structures, you can go into Creative Mode and lay bricks to your heart’s content – all without fear of losing those tiny bits in the carpet.
Play VideoDisney Dreamlight Valley
The Disney name is synonymous with comfy, happy entertainment–the pinnacle of good-feels. Wouldn’t it be nice to live with all of your favorite Disney personalities? Dreamlight Valley lets you create your own cartoon avatar and travel to that wonderful place. Make friends, craft, cook, build, and customize to your heart’s content, all while working to stop the encroachment of the Night Thorns. Best of all, this trip to a Disney-themed fantasy world will never get derailed due to bad weather.
Play VideoNour: Play With Your Food
Contrary to popular belief (or what your parents told you), delicious-looking food is not made specifically to go straight into your mouth. Nour: Play With Your Food lets you do all of the crazy food hijinks you’ve always dreamed of with a variety of physics-based vignettes. Smoosh all the sushi, toss all the toast around, even zap chunks of meat with a size-changing raygun: supreme silliness is your only goal, and you won’t have a mess to clean up later. Perfect for those days when you really wish you could go out to grab a bite.
Play VideoCult of the Lamb
Become the most charismatic cult leader in a world filled with both cute animals and sinister god-figures. Cult of the Lamb sees you command your adorable, fluffy avatar to amass followers through multiple means of indoctrination, conquering all who oppose you with words and power. Control your cult as you relax by the fireplace or soak in the tub–it’s what a leader like you deserves.

If you recently brought a PlayStation 5 console into your home, you’re in the right place. We know you’re itching to dive straight into PS5’s library of cutting-edge, critically acclaimed titles. There’s a ton of quality titles to recommend, but before you dig in, let’s take a moment to check some of the unique features that make your new PS5 console so special.
This guide is intended as a shortcut to some of the best gaming experiences PS5 has to offer. If you’re looking for a more step-by-step technical guide, head to PlayStation.com.
Play VideoYour DualSense controller and you
The first thing you’ll touch after you press the PS5 console’s power button will likely be the DualSense wireless controller. This sleek and ergonomic controller will not only be the way you interact with games, but also has a host of immersive features. Let’s break it down:
Touch pad: In the center of the console is a touchpad. Some games use the touch pad via swiping motions or as a touch-based cursor. More commonly, the touch pad can be pressed the same way you press any other button.
Haptic Feedback: Get absorbed into game worlds with advanced controller sensations. In many games you’ll feel every recoil, bounce, and shake, from subtle to seismic.
Adaptive triggers: The L2 and R2 buttons of the DualSense controller will change tension based on what’s happening in game for unprecedented immersion. Feel the resistance as your character pulls back a bow string or fires a weapon.
Create button: Save your greatest gaming memories, be they epic wins or hilarious fails, with the touch of a button. You can save screenshots, movie clips, and more, and share them online with friends or with the world.
Play VideoAstro’s Playroom
Want to experience what your DualSense controller can do? Jump into Astro’s Playroom, a 3D platformer pre-installed on your PS5 console’s high-speed SSD. It’ll be there when you boot up, no download necessary, so why not pop on in? It’s a delightful showcase of PS5’s immersive features. You’ll be charmed from the first moment you feel Astro’s little metal feet tap across the terrain via haptics and hear the boppin’ soundtrack.’’
Play VideoDive into PlayStation Plus games
One of the best ways to experience the breadth and depth of the PlayStation’s library is with PlayStation Plus. With a monthly or 12-month membership, PlayStation Plus offers value-added benefits and a wide range of quality games across PlayStation generations – depending on the plan you choose.
PlayStation Plus Essential: Essential members can add three monthly PlayStation Plus games to their library in addition to online multiplayer access, discounts on PlayStation Store, and more. New games are offered monthly, and as long as you redeemed the titles during the month they are offered, you can still keep and play it as long as you remain a PlayStation Plus member.
PlayStation Plus Extra: Alongside the benefits from the Essential tier, Extra members also get access to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, which features blockbusters and indies from the PS5 and PS4 generations. Maybe you were intrigued by Ghost of Tsushima, or you want to discover for yourself the Shiba-infused puzzles of Humanity. Perhaps you just want to try something out of your usual comfort zone, such as indie hit Sea of Stars.
PlayStation Plus Premium/Deluxe: Premium members enjoy all the above benefits plus access to the PlayStation Plus Classics Catalog*. This library of memorable PlayStation games spans all the way back to the original PlayStation. See where the Resident Evil saga began or relive your memories of after-school Sly Cooper sessions. You’ll have plenty to explore, and the rewind feature will help you get revenge on some of those challenging original PlayStation moments (nice try, Resident Evil doggy hallway). Premium/Deluxe members can also access Game Trials of the hottest new PS5 releases–and if you like what you try, your progress will carry over to the full game if you decide to buy it. For players where PlayStation Plus Premium is offered, you’ll also get access to cloud streaming.

Play VideoShare Play and Activity Cards
Going online with your PS5 opens up a whole new way to enjoy games by yourself or with friends (add and find friends in your Game Base). Even if you’re not playing online multiplayer games, you’ll be able to discover and share your experiences with players worldwide, making every game a social experience. When you’re online and you highlight a game on the PS5’s menu, you’ll see all kinds of info about the game, including updates, available downloadable content, friends playing, trending gameplay clips, and trophy progress.
On PS5, you can use the Share Play feature to share your screen, pass over the controls, or play together with a friend. Want to drop in on a friend’s game, even if there’s no online multiplayer? Or maybe you want to teach your fighting game friends how to do that sick combo you discovered? Share Play allows you to quickly join games-in-progress, invite others to watch your gameplay live, or even join a game like you would a local second player.
Pressing the central PlayStation button on the DualSense controller during gameplay will take you to the Control Center. Here you’ll see another keyPS5 feature: Activity Cards. These cards have a variety of functions that vary from game to game, ranging from telling you your current progress through a leg of the game’s story to letting you immediately jump into specific activities and side quests, without a lengthy game-boot process.

XBox - Death Relives Story Trailer -
Hello everyone. The year 2023 has been a standout year for games, as we have been blessed with the release of countless top-notch titles. I hope everyone was able to discover new favorites that blew their minds and engaged them in amazing gaming experiences.
From the array of titles released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation VR2, I wanted to share 11 indie games that were my personal favorites of 2023.
Play VideoA Space for the Unbound
This heartwarming adventure game, born from developers in Indonesia, features vivid graphics that echo the enchanting style of director Makoto Shinkai’s films. It weaves a magical tale about dreams and love surrounding a young boy and girl. Will the two, who were torn apart by an accident, ever find each other again? Play till the end to find out.
Play VideoThe Legend of Tianding
Set in the early 20th Century during the Japanese rule of Taiwan, there existed a legendary hero known as Tianding, who fought the corrupt elite, took from the wealthy, and saved the common folk. You can enjoy fast-paced, side-scrolling action through beautiful, artistically rendered Taiwanese scenery. The game also features various historical documents of the period, which is very interesting.
Play VideoBefore Your Eyes
Have you ever shed tears while playing a game? In this title, the scenes progress with each blink of the player’s eyes. It’s a PS VR2-exclusive adventure that lets you relive the fleeting life of a young boy who passed away too soon. You’ll likely find yourself moved to tears in the final moments.
Play VideoTchia
Developed by a team from New Caledonia, this is a liberating sandbox action game set across beautiful islands. The protagonist, Tchia, possesses a unique ability called “soul jumping,” which enables her to inhabit birds, fish, animals, and even pebbles, and utilize their abilities. It adds a delightful twist to the gameplay.
Play VideoDredge
Imagine a game that combines fishing with horror – who would have thought that such an unexpected combination would captivate so many players? In this game, your boat is the main character. You navigate perilous waters at night, progressively exploring while upgrading your vessel. The challenge is knowing when to put down the game and call it a night.
Play VideoHumanity
This game depicts hundreds of faceless people walking in masses, with a single Shiba Inu leading them on. It is an amazing puzzle adventure game that engages players with the philosophical question of what it means to be human. It also allows players to share and play through game stages they’ve created themselves.
Play VideoSynapse
This first person shooter uses PS VR2’s eye-tracking technology to let you select enemies and objects, then grab, levitate and throw them with a flick of your Sense controller. Set against a minimalistic yet beautiful backdrop, players use their extraordinary abilities to surmount looming dangers in this enthralling 3D action game.
Play VideoViewfinder
There are times when changing your perspective slightly can help you overcome obstacles. In this game, placing Polaroid photos you take during gameplay magically spawns new pathways and objects. It’s the most innovative game I’ve encountered this year.
Play VideoEternights
Developer, Jae, left the security of a stable job to pursue his dream of creating a game that blends 3D action with a dating sim. By the end of the game, you must confess your feelings to one of your companions.
Play VideoCocoon
Cocoon captures what I consider beautiful game design: a screen that is devoid of any UI and lacks any form of tutorial, yet the player intuitively understands what they must do. This is a new puzzle adventure from the creators of the timeless classic, Inside. The game continuously delights with its enigmatic puzzles.
TrinityS
For those who enjoy MMORPG boss fights, but don’t have the time to reach them, this game is made for you. You (and up to two other players) can fight through a sequence of rigorous boss rushes in co-op. The action mechanic that allows players to access powerful buffs the longer they stand in place, is unique and exceptional.
