Amidst a flurry of snow and the lazy trundle of passing airships, Strider Hiryu blazes across the screen, cutting down any and all that stand in his way. This classic ninja hero returns in Strider, a rebirth of the side-scrolling classic made famous in late '80s arcades. The new Strider, which launches in early 2014 for PS3 and PS4, enhances the fast-paced spectacle of the original with HD visuals, while preserving the frantic combat and momentum that long-time fans will fondly remember. So it’s come to this: a survey. I won’t argue that filling out our short survey (two to three minutes, tops) is the most thrilling use of your time, but it’s worth noting that your feedback will help inform the games and articles we publish on PlayStation.Blog. In short, we want your feedback so we can publish the content you want to see. If you’ve got a minute or two to spare, take our survey here. More...

In an age of horror games with carefully crafted scares and achingly detailed environments, Zombie Studios is trying something new with its upcoming horror game, Daylight. Players awake inside an abandoned hospital, with only the light of their cellphone to guide them through the thick black. But unlike other horror games, Daylight changes every time you play. More...

When we first sat down and got Orc Attack running about two years ago, our team realized we had created a silly, sophomoric game. I mean, it’s called Orc Attack: Flatulent Rebellion, so right there you know it’s going to be for the gamer that enjoys joking about farts and burps, and what happens when you combine them. We know that before games got a little too serious, and the lead characters all started looking like bald, meaty marines with green goatees, that there was a long line of fun, silly games that were wildly successful that are similar in concept. I’m Ed Key, one of the developers of Proteus along with composer David Kanaga. Proteus came out for the PC and Mac in January 2013 and had a fantastic reception from Edge, Eurogamer, IGN and many more. For something that started out as a weird experimental project between me and David, this was pretty mind-blowing, and it’s even crazier to now have the chance to bring it to PS3 and PS Vita with some brand new features that take advantage of Sony's hardware. Those poor, poor Colossi. All they want is be left alone to wander majestically, but if you want to save your lady friend, you’re gonna have to bring them down. I know. Take a minute to prepare your mental state, and then make sure your hard drive is ready for this awesome game when it becomes free for PlayStation Plus members tomorrow. It’s hard to believe this week marks the one year anniversary of Dishonored’s release. it’s been rewarding to see so many people people “get†the game Arkane set out to develop. It’s wonderful and very humbling to see the game win numerous Game of the Year accolades (and be able to release a “Game of the Year Editionâ€), but there’s even more satisfaction in hearing fans embracing the fiction and emergent gameplay.
