Party Leaders and Private Matches Detailed in Resistance 3

Insomniac Games recently provided several new details on their community forum regarding the party leader and private match systems in the multiplayer portion of Resistance 3. When a fan asked about the options available for a party leader (the abilities to kick, invite, etc), Tim Salvitti responded with the following explanation:

 

Here is how it works:

 

A game host sets up a private match (with whatever options they want).* The game host can invite/kick people out of the game.

 

There are also party leaders.* If you are a party leader you can invite/kick people out of your party (which in turn kicks them out of whatever game you are playing).* The party leader can choose what superset or private game the party joins.

James Stevenson also chimed in to say that, like Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2, private matches in Resistance 3 will be unranked:

 

private games are unranked

 

Resistance 3 will be released for the Playstation 3 in North America on September 6th. A multiplayer beta is scheduled in August.
