Pillorian Posted September 3, 2011 Author Report Posted September 3, 2011 Thoughts? It looks like a repackaged MW2, but I don't think that is such a bad thing at this point... What that means at the least is that it will be fun to play. With the COD Elite stuff, it could really help build new clans and reinforce others. Quote
chiamira Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 I think its MW2-2 again... its not better its not worse. Its the same. Lol Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk Quote
Outlaw__Rebel Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Your just hyped a little. It's easy to catch. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=35.465348,-97.397186 Quote
Pillorian Posted September 3, 2011 Author Report Posted September 3, 2011 Yeah, its basically a $60 DLC for MW2... but I did have fun playing MW2... Quote

FacelessButcher Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 After watching these vids I am stoked! Quote
Outlaw__Rebel Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 Ok I watched all the videos. Mainly trying to decide if I like it over Bf3. Or even Socom 4. But the thing that always gets me is the respawn. Just looks like the same ole spawn die spawn die. Which doesn't have me excited at all. Bf3 or the other bf games it wasn't so much a spawn die. So some things are cool but others it's the same thing that kept me away. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=35.465221,-97.397346 Quote
Pillorian Posted September 4, 2011 Author Report Posted September 4, 2011 The thing is though with bigger map games, it may not be die spawn die, its spawn-run a mile-die-spawn-run a mile-die... Now that I have played a 1-life game, I am more keen to play modes like Search n Destroy, a 1-life round based mode. Quote

IRISH BULL Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 It does look and sound a LOT like MW2. Quote
Nemesis Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 So what does everyone thing about the addition of the dogtags? Quote
IRISH BULL Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 So what does everyone thing about the addition of the dogtags? Stupid. And why does someone else that didn't actually get the kill, get to confirm it? Quote
Nemesis Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 Are they in regular multiplayer or another mode? Quote
Pillorian Posted September 5, 2011 Author Report Posted September 5, 2011 I presume regular multiplayer. Most of this footage is from the COD XP event that took place this weekend. The whole dog tag mode is a separate mode. I have seen footage of regular TDM. Quote
Outlaw__Rebel Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 They stole the dogtag idea from battlefield. I think I'm just buying Bf3 and that's it. COD hasn't got my interest. Not being negative I was giving it a full interest. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=35.465145,-97.397394 Quote
Nemesis Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 Well, the dogtags in BF are just for meelee kills though. Quote
Pillorian Posted September 5, 2011 Author Report Posted September 5, 2011 Most games stole modes from other games. Counter Strike created most. I believe Halo created CTF... It would be nice to see some new stuff come up. I think I will get both. However, I think BF3 will be way better on PC so I'll be looking into that. Quote
IRISH BULL Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 I hope that BF3 isn't only in 720p like previous games. But I'm pretty sure it will. Quote
IRISH BULL Posted September 7, 2011 Report Posted September 7, 2011 http://www.ign.com/videos/2011/09/06/modern-warfare-3-multiplayer-rewind-theater What has me the most interested is how they changed the killstreak reward system. It's broken down into three classes. And they aren't calling it a killstreak anymore. It's now called a strike package. So according to the IGN rewind theater, not all strike packages are based on kills. Which I think it great. Finally you get rewarded for helping your team win by not getting the most kills, but for completing or defending objectives. I really didn't think I was getting this game. But with every new video or piece of information that comes out, I'm leaning more towards getting it. I really don't care that it looks and feels like MW2. I loved how MW2 looked and felt. I just hope that the clan system they keep showing isn't just for Elite. And I would love to see them add some sort of server and lobby system. Quote

CTF has been around long before halo- it was in quake. It's exciting to see new gameplay. I don't want to buy this game, since I am happy with black ops... but I might have to if everyone in my ps3 friends list is playing it. Edited September 7, 2011 by GeneralSarcasm Quote
IRISH BULL Posted September 7, 2011 Report Posted September 7, 2011 As much as I hate to pay a fee for a game, the CoD Elite sounds like a great system for clan wars. Quote
Pillorian Posted September 8, 2011 Author Report Posted September 8, 2011 @General: damn I didn't think it went that far back! Quote
