TOW-19 Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 An IT friend of mine sent me this email and I thought I would spread it out to all of you. All, I just found by accident and an old co-worker's mis-fortune that there is a site out there looking for MSN Messenger usernames and passwords called http://www.picfriender.info. It may be tied to a virus/spyware/adware/malware but i don't know that for sure... Quote
TOW-19 Posted April 3, 2008 Author Report Posted April 3, 2008 Well, like HE said....not sure if it's true or not, but better to be safe than sorry. Quote
RNG187 Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 click on the link, it looks like something phishy's going on there. thanks Tow. Quote
krazyeyedkevin Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 As a member/employee for MSN, I will vouch Do not use that website. You will get infected and it will pass around your contact list like wildfire and be careful if you get weird links from people on your contact list. Quote
Outlaw__Rebel Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 And you click on the link....Give them your info it might not infect you. LOL Quote
RNG187 Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 LOL marauder, i was only saying to click on it and only view the web page, it looks as if I made the website, thats how suspicious and cheaply made it looks. Quote
chris_pheonix7 Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 gotta love norton, it called it a fraudulent webpage and advised me not to visit it Quote
