Yankee's Old timers Day

Now obviously I am no yankees fan but I have to say this is a great think for former players and fans of this team and fans of baseball. I don't know If any other teams do this but they should.

The Yankees do it because we have the richest history ever in sports. The Yanks are able to assemble a massive amount of players who have participated in the Yankees organization. No offense to other teams, but no team can compare to what the Yanks can put together.

 

I watch it every year and went to it last year. Couldn't go this year because of plans.

 

Willie Randolph got the greatest applause and ovation, who would've thought. He doesn't need Queens

Yes Willie did and he deserved it. He got screwed by the Mets, I thought he was a good manager.

 

Other teams should start doing this no matter how many old timers they get the history has to start somewhere.

Most teams have some kind of history.. i think it would be cool to have in more places.

Dodgers could pull from Brooklynn days (maybe. lol)

Giants could pull from NY days

Angels could pull from before Dodgers or Giants moved to CA. (then again no one knew any of them so it would be just a field of old guys.. lol)

 

Most teams have something, but probably not enough to have a game of their own.. but maybe they could have a game with another team.!? (they would have to have two, it would suck for the visiting teams fans. lol)

Randolph wasn't all that. He was a good guy don't get me wrong. But he wasn't a great manager, he just was good because he had great players.
