Damn good find Swerve! I think I might go ahead and do this to see if I can get my wireless signal to jump out to my office in the garage so I don't have to spend the money on running more cat-5.

if this still doesnt help buy a wireless n draft router ($40) and wireless n network adapter for your laptop.

Im going to try this out tonight. I already get a good signal, but I have all this layin around the house, so might as well give it hell. ;D

While it might work in therory, Most wireless routers even with antennas Shoot most of the signal downwards, You will notice this if you have your router in the basement and can not get a signal upstairs.

 

Try it put the router upstairs and go to the basement

that would explain alot of the old problems i had 3 years ago..i played upstairs and the modem was downstairs ....hmmm

now i have one story and no router
