Need help for my Grandma's viewing pleasure

OK, so my grandma still uses a VCR to record her soaps. I end up going over there about once every two weeks to reprogram her VCR. It's a VCR/DVD combo, and it's too confusing for her to operate.

 

She has the digital converter box, and I need some cost effective DVR's that will work with it. She will use my Tivo without issue, so I think something like a DVR will work great.

 

And if the got some elderly remotes that will work it, that would be AWESOME!

Is her "digital converter box" for cable or antenna? If Cable it's fairly cheap to get a DVR from them. TiVo is the best but I don't think it can work on an antenna.

 

If she's computer savvy at all you can just let her DL her soaps off of your TiVo?

It's antenna, and NO she isn't computer savy at all, or I would direct her to the website where she could watch them.

 

Dish Network makes a product called the DTVpal DVR. I just can't find the damn thing anywhere!
