  2. Like the one from the single player sniper mission. Lots of trees, tall grass, burning tanks. That would be badass!! ;D
  3. Thanks for the tips!! ;D
  4. Earlier today, Eric Lempel announced a new feature that will be coming to the PlayStation site…a trophy cabinet! Best of all, the feature becomes available tomorrow! This is only the first phase of what is to come and currently only allows you to view your own Trophies and lists, however additional features will be added throughout the year including the ability to compare your Trophies to those of other users. All that is required is that you have a PSN account and visit PlayStation.com, though you’ll also need at least one Trophy-enabled game and a synced account before you’ll be able to see your own collection. It’s nothing too fancy right now, but it’s definitely a step in the right direction towards the many features that the Trophy community has been wanting. http://www.viddler.com/explore/sceablog/videos/272/ There is still one question remaining, but it seems to be more a matter of ‘when’ and not ‘if’. When will Sony release that all-important feed to developers so the community can start utilizing this information for its own purposes?

  6. Too true!! I hit everything but the other team with the shotgun. They have to be stuck on a wall or a box or something for me to kill them. ;D
  7. So is this happening or not?
  8. Despite being intentionally designed as a "weighty, slower, more tactical first person experience," Killzone 2 is taking some flak for its sluggish controls. Producer Seb Downie had previously stated that "no changes [were] required to the system" with regards to last month's demo, but now that the final game is out, Guerrilla Games is changing its tune. Included in an official list of things to be patched, Downie notes that controller issues are being looked into: "Any possible changes will have to be carefully implemented and tested before being deployed though." This is a stark contrast in tone whereas the previous message implied that Guerilla would not alter anything -- they just might do something now. As for the things that will definitely be patched, Guerilla has revealed it's working on bot solutions, network issues and other problems. Check after the break for the full list of fixes. Taken directly from Official PlayStation Forums: * Boost -- We've identified and fixed the bug to do with the boost medal not being awarded. It will go into a patch we are working on at present, but there is a workaround in the mean time to get it. Simply ensure that you are the Game Creator rather than client and you'll be awarded it. * Network Errors/Honor Ranks -- We are also looking at fixing a good bunch of the network errors and are looking into the complaints about the Honor Ranks as well as a couple of other bits and pieces. We'll provide a list of fixes when we are close to releasing the patch. * Bots -- We're working on a permanent solution for the bots stat padding and have some internal solutions that we're going to work on implementing. We'll let you know what those are when we've got the patch together and the solution implemented. We will NOT be wiping ALL stats and padders will be looked at individually by the moderators. * http://www.kz.com -- http://www.killzone.com is being sorted out today to deal with the massive traffic it's been facing and hope to have some long-term solutions in place shortly. The stats are currently empty on the site and will be repopulated today. * Controller Issues -- We have not stopped looking into the complaints and will see what we can do about it. Any possible changes will have to be carefully implemented and tested before being deployed though. * Charge disarming -- We have identified the issue where sometimes the C4 charge in Search and Destroy will not disarm. Will be fixed with the next update. * Shotgun Aim Assist -- Investigating the problem and will patch it up. * Clan Games -- Sometimes the clan that does not turn up for a match is awarded the win under specific circumstances. Will be patched ASAP. * Battle Replay for Map 8 - Corinth Crossing -- The BR on http://www.killzone.com is not quite right and will be fixed soon. * Ignore list -- Was found not to be functioning correctly. Will be fixed in the next patch. * Crashes -- Crash when using Saboteur disguise in certain situations. Will be fixed in the next patch. Infrequent crash when trying to start a game with an empty game name. Will be fixed soon. * Medic/Assassination -- There is an issue with the Assassination target HUD icon displaying when playing as a Medic. Investigating and will be fixed.
  9. http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/playback/playback-34/1292808 Xbox designers say they have resolved the "red ring of death" that resulted in many ruined consoles.
  10. European PlayStation Home community manager TedTheDog recently clued in his fellow virtual inhabitants to some changes that would soon take effect within the game world. Most of them focused on improving some already integrated features -- for instance, he mentioned many PS3 developers are working on patches to their respective titles to allow them to be launched within Home, and that they're "investigating" methods of allowing players to listen to their own music in-game. He also explained that a few high profile Game Spaces are nearing completion, and should see the light of day in the coming weeks. Among the mentioned game-themed rooms are lobbies modeled after SOCOM: Confrontation, Siren: Blood Curse (which is currently accessible in Japan), and Resident Evil 5. More importantly, he mentioned that a "slightly updated" Home Square could launch as early as March 5.
  11. ;D
  12. Anyone else think the new Makin is too bright?
  13. Looks like a really good mattress. ;D
  14. Here's a good incentive for Killzone fans to get the upcoming PS3 shooter early. If you play the game any time between March 1st and March 14th, you'll get a chance to win this replica rifle. There will be a winner every single day, determined by stats collected by Killzone.com. These rifles won't be available in stores, so make sure you play Killzone 2 non-stop for the best chance of winning. Here's all the categories: Day 1: Max number of Helghast killed by a single grenade Day 2: Total Number of helmets popped Day 3: Least time taken to kill Radec Day 4: Total amount of Boltgun Kills Day 5: Most Assassinations Day 6: Highest Kill ratio Day 7: Most revives performed Day 8: Highest All Weapon Accuracy Day 9: Most spawn deploys Day 10: Best sniper Accuracy Day 11: Highest killingspree Day 12: Most headshots Day 13: Most Games Lost Day 14: Most games played as ISA
  15. Available today, courtesy of developer Treyarch, is a new patch for Call of Duty: World at War as well as a free multiplayer map. The map isn't exactly new, but could be especially satisfying for soldiers who prefer battling without the cover of night. The new "Makin Day" map is a remake of current World at War offering Makin, with a generous splash of the sun's daylight glow. The map is installed automatically with the PlayStation 3 version of the patch and Xbox 360 users can grab the free content via the Xbox Live Marketplace. Speaking of the patch, a list of platform-specific updates (Xbox 360 / PS3) can be viewed on the official World at War forums. We're sure "Rocket Jumpers" will be none too pleased to discover their special ability has been taken away. Addressed in this Update: Added support for downloadable maps – free downloadable map “Makin Day†now available to Xbox 360 & PS3. Improved host migration functionality. After Action Report now displays full post-game stats. Nazi Zombies is now unlocked for solo & co-op games for EVERYONE in both private and public games! Added defensive measures to prevent “Stats Reset†when corrupt data is detected. Addressed issues where some solo progression data was lost when a player had collected Death Cards in a split-screen co-op game. Patched all known MP map exploits – this fix will also prevent players from passing through geometry/terrain if a new hole is discovered. Patched a number of Nazi Zombie exploits. Addressed an issue commonly referred to as the “elevator glitch.†Disabled “Rocket Jumping†– this eliminates the extra boost created by all explosive weapon types. Addressed some score reporting anomalies in the War and CTF leaderboards. Blocked the ability of players with lower level accounts from accessing higher-level Perks. Addressed an issue in Search & Destroy where bomb planting/defusing was disabled when opening the overhead map. Disabled ability to get unlimited ammo when prone with a deployed bipod. Addressed an issue with Bouncing Betties triggering when the player is within the detonation radius but behind a solid wall. Improved squad functionality. Fixed an exploit where Hardcore matches could be ended immediately by team killing. We hope you enjoy the new updates, and the new map - will see you on the battlefield!
