  6. Jump into PS VR2 and smack some monsters around, then sit yourself down and play with a controller on your PS5 while you cool off. The Foglands will release with an FPS-mode on PS5 alongside PS VR2 at launch October 31. So no headset required! Either way you play, the fate of the Hold is in your hands. Play Video Verify your age to view this content. Verify your age to view this content. Welcome to the Foglands The Foglands is an upcoming anti-Western atmospheric roguelite that puts you in the boots of Jim, a brand new Runner. As a Runner, the people of the Hold rely on you to bring home scavenged goods and fend off the twisted creatures of the Fog. When a hulking behemoth from the depths threatens the survival of the Hold, it’s up to you to go out there and put a stop to it… and die trying. Lucky for you, the mysterious figure known only as The Stranger is eager to lend a hand. His eldritch deck of cards can grant you supernatural abilities to boost your running prowess – for a price. He’s also got a few tricks up his sleeve, namely preventing Jim from yeeing his last haw. Explore, fight, loot, and die… and then do it all over again! You’ll navigate an ever-shifting world of fog, exploring, fighting, and collecting along the way as you seek to defeat the giant, worm-like creature that threatens your Hold’s survival. Explore Many things get lost in the Fog – but the more you look, the more you find. While adventuring through the floors that change with every run, rooms that shift their contents with each visit, and the diverse biomes that would rather see you dead than alive, you’ll uncover the secrets the Fog clings to along the way. You won’t just find lost keys that belonged to Runners of old to unlock their secrets – you’ll even find some of those lost Runners themselves! Fight With a healthy mix of barfight melee and shoot-em-up gunplay, The Foglands uses the best of the PS VR2 eye tracking and precision latency to deliver a mix of fist-fighting, gunslinging, and aim-assisted throwing. Intention targeting and eye tracking allows any grabbable item to become a weapon – after all, Runner training advises you think on your feet and not rely too much on shootin’ irons (you never know when a Scuttler will steal your trusty hand cannon). The more you develop your personal playstyle and land those sweet combos, the more the time-slow effect will assist you in fending off the denizens of the Foglands. Collect The Foglands might seem like a desolate hellscape of creaking metal and lurking predators, but there are riches for those who know where to look! Collect Scrap and Fog Oil to unlock gear upgrades, new items, and new areas. But take heed: death means items you’ve gathered are left behind, so make sure to use Loot Chutes to send your Scrap home to spend on the next run. There’s more than material acquisitions to be found out there: while on a run you’ll collect Abilities from The Stranger’s Cards that make you ever-more-powerful. Play to your strengths by choosing from three distinct suits that enhance each playstyle: Fists (melee), Guns (uh, guns), and Keys (exploration). So get out there and start lootin’! Pre-order now Now that you know what it takes and what’s at stake to be a Runner, you can prepare for your first day by pre-ordering on Playstation Store today. See you out in the Foglands, partner! 7. Hello! We’re thrilled to be sharing a brand-new Tiger Blade trailer with you! Since we first announced the game back in June, we’ve been working hard fine-tuning the combat and movement, and further bringing the world of Tiger Blade to life with extra polish and detail to the environments. In addition to showcasing Tiger Blade’s high-octane and highly replayable arcade action, the trailer also reveals the game’s release date–Tiger Blade will be debuting exclusively on PS VR2 on November 17! Play Video Verify your age to view this content. Verify your age to view this content. So, what can you expect from Tiger Blade when it launches in a few weeks? Intense, fast-paced combat is at the core of the experience, and you’ll be rapidly switching between your sword and pistol on-the-fly as you fight through the urban locales of Sewoon (the game’s neo-Korean setting). During the development of Tiger Blade, we’ve come to refer to the game’s most central mechanic as slash ‘n’ dash. It’s pretty self-explanatory–you use your sword to slash an enemy or a slash-friendly part of the environment, and then you auto-dash to the next point of action. It’s not the only method of movement–you’re also armed with a grapple which you use to hook and swing at designated spots–but the slash ‘n’ dash is the primary means of moving through each level. We feel it’s a winning combo that keeps the action at an exhilaratingly dynamic tempo. Despite the razor-sharp name, Tiger Blade isn’t just about using your sword. Certain enemies can only be defeated with a firearm, and we’ve made sure switching between your sword and pistol is seamless and becomes instinctive very quickly. If a gun-toting enemy manages to pop-off some shots, you can deflect the bullets with your sword before returning fire and taking them down. The grapple completes your toolset and if used smartly, it can give you an edge when you find yourself outnumbered and/or outgunned. Certain enemies can be targeted with the grapple to swiftly swipe their gun straight from their hands and into yours, giving you access to some superior firepower, such as a shotgun or SMG, until the ammo runs out. The grapple can also grab temporary cover, which is used like a shield by raising your off hand, protecting you from bullets or strikes from a sword. After trying Tiger Blade’s shootouts, we think anyone familiar with Time Crisis probably won’t be too surprised to learn there are a few fans of Namco’s classic light-gun shooter on the team! While combat takes center stage, we are also incredibly proud of the environments that make up Tiger Blade’s world. Based on real Korean locations, you’ll find yourself pursued and hunted through a variety of interior and exterior areas, including docks, marketplaces, and alleyways. We’ve designed these to be as immersive as possible, and we’re continuing to add layers of detail and polish to textures, lighting, and VFX as we approach the finish line of Tiger Blade’s development. We can’t wait for you to try Tiger Blade when it hits PS VR2 on November 17. Reading about it and watching the trailer is one thing, but wearing the headset, becoming fully submerged and feeling like a skilled assassin smack-bang in the heat of the action is something else! 8. Hi everyone, I’m Kostas Zarifis, founder of Rogue Sun and Creative Director on Tin Hearts. We’ve been so grateful for the amazing reception the game has enjoyed since releasing on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 earlier this year! But we’ve heard the voice of the VR community loud and clear: you want to play Tin Hearts on PS VR2! That’s why I’m excited to tell you more about what to expect in the PS VR2 version of the game, and let you know a PS VR2 demo of the game will launch on November 2. We can’t wait for you all to check it out! Play Video What is Tin Hearts? Tin Hearts takes you on an emotional and thought-provoking journey as you peel off layers of the life of Victorian toy maker, Albert Butterworth. To do this you’ll have to step in the shoes of the inventor yourself, as you solve the 50+ Lemmings-style puzzles in the game, which are ever increasing in complexity. Spanning four distinctive acts, each puzzle is masterfully woven into the very fabric of the Butterworths’ grand Victorian home. As you progress, you will steadily uncover a variety of whimsical inventions each with a unique set of abilities to help guide your troop of tin soldiers to safety. Treasured memories unlock as you explore new locations, and even some that would rather stay forgotten. We have designed Tin Hearts from the ground-up for PS VR2, to bring a fully immersive version of our critically acclaimed game to life – now allowing you to directly control, touch and interact with the game’s mechanics. Pick up and juggle blocks between your hands, maneuver toy cannons and change the direction of trampoline drums to help your tin soldiers reach their destination, whilst exploring the stunning environments from a whole new perspective. Key features: Solve a trail of puzzles: Set out on an adventure through 50+ Lemmings-like puzzles which constantly evolve as you progress. Uncover new routes to your destination each time you play, with multiple ways to solve the intricate puzzles. Marvel at the mechanical wonders: Unlock the power to control a variety of ground-breaking inventions steadily introduced throughout the game. Maneuver toy cannons, trampoline drums, and balloon inflating machines. Experience ever evolving mechanics as the game keeps throwing new surprises and wonders at you. Become a master of time: Pause, fast-forward and rewind time to observe and change the outcome of your actions, providing an accessible and relaxing puzzle-solving experience to satisfy both puzzle veterans as well as storytelling enthusiasts. What’s included in the PS VR2 Demo? Filled with marvelous mechanical wonders and intricate puzzles, the demo will guide players through six of the 50+ levels set within the grand Victorian home of the Butterworth family. From the attic, filled with charming toys and inventions, to the inventors’ basement which is host to the heights of innovation and technology, the demo shares a glimpse of the gameplay to come from a selection of our favorite levels. If I had to pick a favorite level in this demo, I’d say be sure to check out the music room, which marks the start of Act II. The music room is filled with various classic instruments, prized possessions of Helen Butterworth. Helen is the wife and kindred spirit of Albert, whose musical talent equates to her husband’s toy making abilities. Take your time here working through the relaxing puzzles and enjoy the poignant soundtrack, which merges and complements the gameplay and sound in an sensational way, courtesy of Matthew Chastney, our very own talented musician and composer. … But I do not want to spoil too much, so I hope you take the time to dive into the demo when it launches on November 2 and get to know Tin Hearts’ magical, fairytale world for yourself! We cannot wait to share more about the full release of Tin hearts VR, including a long-awaited release date. 12. Hey all. I’m Csilla, the Community Manager at Lucky Mountain Games. Some of you might be familiar with our aesthetic and know of us from our previous game, Hotshot Racing. Since then, we’ve been working on a top-secret project that we’ve only teased tidbits of. So, we’re overjoyed to finally announce our upcoming PS VR2 FPS game – Heroes of Forever. Today, I’ll be giving you an exclusive overview of what you can expect from us as we continue developing our game, as well as diving into the details of our new announcement trailer. Play Video As an agent working for Time Enforcement Command (TEC for short), an organization that specializes in maintaining order in the multiverse, you are tasked with confronting a corruption that is sowing chaos across space and time. You must leap through dimensions and timelines to stop these crises from altering history forever by blasting enemies as fast as possible. Of course, all missions come with risks: You’ll have to dodge oncoming barrages of enemy fire to ensure your survival and discover ways to interact with the environment around you to complete levels successfully. If you have a competitive side and a burning desire to scale the scoreboards, you’ll have to creatively use your surroundings to maximize your high score in record time. With non-stop, heart-pounding combat sequences, you may want to call some reinforcements to aid you in your missions – we’re happy to reveal that Heroes of Forever will have a multiplayer mode with support for up to four-player co-op. Gather your friends in the TEC HQ and take a thrilling leap through time together! Before we delve deeper, let’s talk about the game’s inspirations. We’ve put a great deal of effort into capturing the essence of the great light gun games and arcade cover shooters of the 90s, which we’ve combined with the narrative design and style of classic action movies (primarily sci-fi hits from the 80s-90s). These influences permeate all aspects of the game, so there’ll be plenty of nods to classic films, games, and other media throughout. Can you figure out our inspirations for the levels we showed in our trailer? There will be many more levels to discover, each of them being an alternate timeline and/or location for players to restore order to. While we’d be honored to hear Heroes of Time described as a spiritual successor to any classic arcade shooter, we’re also dedicated to developing a refreshing gameplay experience that takes advantage of the exciting possibilities of VR. For instance, our key aim is to evoke nostalgia throughout the player’s journey. With the help of PS VR2’s 3D audio, we’ve developed immersive soundscapes that transcend familiarity, adding a unique sense of wonder to every scenario. Dynamic lighting also enhances the low-poly visuals of our game, granting a fresh feel to the retro-inspired scenery for players to enjoy. Similarly, PS VR2’s haptics allowed us to adjust the feedback for all the weapons you will encounter in Heroes of Forever, meaning they each have a weight and kickback corresponding to their appearance. This was crucial for us regarding level design, as the player starts each level with a unique, mission-appropriate weapon – and a corresponding host body, of course. As an agent that traverses different dimensions, players will encounter a variety of suitable weapons and disguises to face the forces of evil working against them. We’d like to conclude with some words about our community mission: to unite players of diverse backgrounds and experience levels over a shared love for action-packed, arcade-style gameplay. We’ll be working hard to ensure that our game modes accommodate all kinds of players, whether you want to savor the story solo, team up with other agents in co-op, or show off your high scores on our online leaderboards. Furthermore, Heroes of Forever will be an experience suitable for new and seasoned VR users, complete with comfort settings and adjustable difficulty modes. We hope to welcome you all to Heroes of Forever, coming to PS VR2 in 2024. We will have plenty more information to share with you in the near future. 13. Anyone who reads Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series will know there are a lot of tense, exciting conversations where characters are grappling with the fate of the Empire or are engaged in a fierce battle of wills. In adapting this iconic series to VR, we sought to make these conversational moments as satisfying and immersive as possible, which was possible by leveraging some of the PlayStation VR2’s unique features. Play Video When players are dropped into the role of Agent Ward in Journey to Foundation, they will be immersed through: Haptic feedback Eye-tracking Adaptive triggers Controller tracking 4K HDR Immersion through headset haptics Your character, Agent Ward, has unique Mentalic abilities that allow them to sense and manipulate the emotions of others. It’s a subtle art: push too hard, and you’ll cause damage. We use the PS VR2’s head haptics to make you feel like you are reaching out with your mind, and to guide you to success while you play. Players will also feel like they’re right in the action when a star explodes, or a spaceship crashes; haptic feedback on the headset will make it feel like you’re there. Real-time decision-making In a typical cutscene, you watch the drama unfold. In Journey to Foundation, we put you inside the drama. But it’s not just a matter of giving you a few dialogue options to keep you engaged. Eye tracking allows you to make your conversational selection by simply glancing at the option and pressing X. Even when imposing characters like the Viceroy are staring you down, you can engage with your environment by searching for special ‘Look At’ cues that are hidden around the environment, and items are strewn throughout the game that can unlock unique dialogue and new player paths. Adaptive triggers with swappable weapon components We created specialized chips – called ADMs (Atomic Defense Modules) – that can be placed on the back of your base weapon to upgrade and change how it works, giving you access to multiple different blasters. Swapping the chip will give you a different weapon type, and each one will feel different due to the unique audio, haptics, and force feedback from the PlayStation’s adaptive triggers. Sensors to track gestural movements In VR, your body is your controller, which is why we have incorporated gestures into our conversations. When an adversary points a gun at you, you don’t press ‘X’ to surrender; you literally raise your hands (lest the NPCs warn you if you don’t follow their orders). The PlayStation’s outward-facing sensors are how we validate these gestural moments, providing yet another layer of immersion. Stunning 4K space-scapes The Foundation series is set in a galaxy in crisis. The Galactic Empire, who has kept the peace for 12 thousand years and occupies 25 million planets, is about to collapse. Massive events are occurring and changing the balance of power in the galaxy. We are grateful to take advantage of the headset’s 4K resolution and processing power to really sell that spectacle. A big reason we all play science fiction games is to experience what it’s like to be among the stars, and we have tried to make that experience as satisfying and awe-inspiring as possible with the help of PlayStation’s powerful hardware. Journey to Foundation is a passion project for our studio, and we can’t wait to share it with you all when it releases on PlayStation VR2 on October 26, 2023. View the full article
  14. Hey everyone — Schell Games team here with a new emergency update! Schell Games, Innersloth, and Robot Teddy are excited to announce that Among Us VR is coming to PlayStation VR2. We’ve been working hard to bring teamwork and betrayal (in space, of course) to our PS VR2 Crewmates — it’s officially on its way, Beans. Check out our new announcement trailer. Play Video Prepare to grab your fellow Crewmates and launch into the VR version of this hit multiplayer social deduction game, adapted from Innersloth’s beloved and global phenomenon, Among Us. Play with 4 – 10 players as you complete individual tasks and (hopefully) work as a team to survive across not one but two maps — The Skeld II and Polus Point. But beware. One or more random players among your crew are Impostors bent on sabotaging and killing everyone, or maybe that’ll be you? Don’t give yourself away. Alongside the core Among Us gameplay many of you have come to adore — tasks, sabotages, venting, emergency meetings — Among Us VR also includes new tasks designed just for the VR game and all of its new-perspective glory. You’ll also be able to explore many new features reimagined for VR, including 3D cosmetics (paid DLC and free hatssss), proximity voice chat, accessibility, and comfort settings, safety and in-game moderation tools, crossplay compatibility, and not to mention custom lobby settings (the gameplay combinations are wild with endless possibilities, Beans). Of course, we can’t not mention our maps — Among Us VR now has two maps that PS VR2 players can traverse, plot, and complete their tasks in. The Skeld II, our first map, is inspired by the original game’s The Skeld. The virtual rooms will give you the nostalgia of its predecessor, but be sure to really keep an eye out because deceit and debauchery hits differently in VR, do you really know who’s behind you at all times? Polus Point is our most recently released map, and although it’s inspired by Among Us’ Polus map, it’s not a true one-to-one adaptation, but a new map design in all its chilly, yet hot majesty. Just look at those donut boxes. Polus Point features 50% more tasks, nine new rooms with *cough* delicious hidden objects, and brand-new kill and ejection animations. You’re going to “lava” it, Beans. So get some air (looks around Oxygen Room) and stay tuned, PS VR2 Beans (in-game currency), and more importantly, stay suspicious. Among Us VR is coming to PS VR2 at the suggested retail price of $9.99 USD / £9.99 / €9.99. Wishlist on PlayStation Store today. View the full article

  17. Hey, everyone! I’m Michele Zorrilla, the Advanced Senior UX Researcher at Insomniac Games. With the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 just around the corner, our team at Insomniac is excited to share one of the ways we can all #BeGreaterTogether – through accessibility! So today, I’d like to highlight some of the notable accessibility features swinging into the game at launch on October 20, then I’ll pass it over to Sam Schaffel, Insomniac Games’s Accessibility Design Researcher, who will provide an update on more features arriving in a post-launch update. Carrying forward our learnings from our recent games, we’re implementing useful accessibility features from both earlier titles in the Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise as well as Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. As with any new title, we also had to figure out new features to support the expanded gameplay systems of our favorite web-slingers. Challenge Level Modifiers and Gameplay Assists High-action and exciting combat is a signature of our Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise, whether you’re going up against Kraven and his Hunters or pursuing the Lizard through Marvel’s New York. We included a variety of challenge levels in our earlier games in the franchise (Friendly, Amazing, etc.), and today, we are excited to introduce Challenge Level Modifiers, which let you customize three aspects of gameplay: Enemy Health, Enemy Damage, and Stealth Awareness. With these settings, you can mix and match for your preferences or needs. We’re also bringing back some key gameplay features to help with combat and traversal, which aim to reduce button inputs or provide more time to react to many in-game scenarios. Chase Assist is a feature we introduced in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered in response to players having difficulty completing the story in the original 2018 release. The feature will work similarly in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, reducing the target’s top speed, increasing time windows before escaping, automatically attaching when a target is in range, and readjusting the camera to the target when you press R3. We’re happy to report these features will return and work with both our swinging and all-new Web Wings traversal systems! Quick Time Event (QTE) Autocomplete, changing Repeated Button Presses from Taps to Holds, and Web-Shooter Burst are all returning to reduce motor fatigue and keep you in the action. Shortcuts and Game Speed Speaking of keeping you in the action, we couldn’t have a new Insomniac game without including two things our team and the community love: Shortcuts and Game Speed! Our Shortcuts will allow players to assign a variety of options to the Left or Right D-pad buttons. If you’re having difficulty pressing multiple buttons at once, want a quick way to toggle your High Contrast gameplay options on or off, or even want to open Photo Mode with the press of a single button, you can assign these to left or right directional-buttons for quick use during gameplay. Introduced in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and now featured in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, players can assign Game Speeds of 70%, 50%, and 30% of the real-time rate to Shortcut buttons. These allow you to slow down the action, giving you more time to react to multiple gameplay scenarios: Want more time to react as surrounding Hunter fists fly at your face? Activate Game Speed! Are you battling against the Lizard and need more time between button presses? Game Speed can help! Waiting for that picture-perfect moment to capture Spider-Man doing an acrobatic swing? You guessed it… Game Speed’s got your back! Audio Frequency Controls Additional options in our heroes’ gallery of accessibility features at launch are our Audio Frequency Controls. These will allow players to disable uncomfortable sounds with our High Frequency Cutoff (like high-pitched ringing), Low Frequency Cutoff (like the bass of an explosion), or a custom setting with the Notch Frequency Filter so they can better enjoy Pete’s classic quips as he thwips back a detonating grenade. These are just a few of the features the team is passionate and excited about for the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. To see the full list of the accessibility features that will be included at launch, we welcome you to visit Insomniac’s Knowledge Base: insom.games/MSM2-Accessibility Now I’m turning this over to Sam Schaffel to share some of the awesome accessibility features coming post launch! Post Launch Accessibility Thanks Michele! So, there are quite a bit of accessibility features at launch in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 that the team has put together, but we are also working to bring new features after the game launches on October 20. Some of the highlights include: Audio Descriptions that provide visual context and add a narration-style voice-over to cinematics and even QTEs. We feel this feature will be exciting to players who use Audio Descriptions when experiencing movies or television, and we encourage people who have never experienced it before to try it out and see if it’s a feature that works for them! It’s often been compared to a high-quality audiobook. We are working with our amazing partners at Descriptive Video Works (who have worked on various audio descriptions for television and movies for over 20 years, as well as games like The Last of Us Part 1) to bring this experience to all players in English, French, German, Italian, Castilian Spanish, Latin American Spanish, and Japanese. Screen Reader will read out several things to aid players in navigating onscreen items such as tutorials, in-game menus such as the Settings menu, but also our Touch Pad menus like the map, Abilities, Gadgets, Collectibles, Suits, Moves List, and more. We will also have access to on-demand HUD (heads up display) reading via our Screen Reader Status Shortcut. Players can also customize Screen Reader Readouts by specifying how often text repeats on idle via Repeat Delay customization and Scaling. Captions will be available for cinematics and at key audio moments in gameplay. We have captions for offscreen and environmental sound effects, music, and more. The captions are also highly customizable, including size, color, background opacity, and background color separately from subtitles. These features and other surprises will be coming via an update in December 2023 at no additional cost to you! Access Controller for PS5 and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 I’ve had the privilege of consulting on the upcoming Access controller for PlayStation 5 console, which by itself or together with the DualSense controller enables gamers with disabilities to really customize the way they play, offering a variety of options and use cases. I’d like to share my personal configuration and explain how these controllers can be paired together in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2! You can also learn more about the controller and check out my chat with Access controller product lead, Alvin Daniel, and accessibility expert Paul Lane, from earlier this year in the video below. Play Video Paired with both controllers, I use my right hand on the DualSense controller and left hand on the Access controller to access several buttons and the move stick. One of my favorite features is setting up two commands on a single button. I also love having a control profile tied to four Abilities (mixing new and classic like the Chain Lightning, Venom Dash, Venom Smash, and Galvanize), Gadgets (including the Web Grabber), and L3 + R3 to activate Mega Venom Blast, which I map to the big center button. It just feels awesome to execute such a big attack to that input! Thanks to the custom profiles system, I can have a unique control profile for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 that’s dedicated to those simultaneous press buttons, while allowing me to map other features like Game Speed to the Shortcuts on the DualSense controller’s left and right directional buttons. We’re incredibly proud to continue our accessibility efforts at Insomniac Games and finding ways for more people to experience the games we make. As we push towards launch on October 20, 2023, and beyond, we’d love to hear your thoughts about the game when you experience it yourself. As always, our community team is listening to your feedback across our official social media accounts (@insomniacgames). For more information, please stay tuned to our social channels! 22. Hello again, everyone. In May, we announced that our voxel-based destruction game would be coming to PlayStation 5. Now, I’m excited to share that Teardown will land on consoles on November 15, 2023, and it is our immense privilege to announce that the game will be part of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on day one (available with PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium memberships). We are also taking this opportunity to announce a series of new missions, maps, vehicles, and other content coming to Teardown over the next year, along with the game’s first-ever season pass. Below, you’ll find more details on the upcoming campaign expansion, some new game modes, and a sneak peek at a couple of surprises still to come – but first, a quick recap on the game itself. Play Video There are many ways to play Teardown, but when you first jump into the game, we recommend starting with the story campaign, which has 40 levels that challenge your creativity and logic. Each level begins with a main task, such as stealing or destroying certain objects, and a series of bonus challenges. You must then use the tools, weapons, and vehicles to figure out how to get the job done – sometimes racing against a clock. You will have time to plan your approach and set up your path, but you never know what unexpected obstacles you will encounter. Once you’ve gotten the hang of the campaign and explored some of the more structured game modes, you can take on the freeform Sandbox Mode. In Sandbox Mode, you can explore all the maps you’ve unlocked in the campaign without limitations, obliterating them to the ground with every tool in your toolbox. And within Sandbox Mode, you’ll find Creative Mode, which flips the script on Teardown, and offers you the chance to build up. Using all sorts of materials and building tools, you’ll get the opportunity to construct your own buildings, sculptures, foliage, and more – and then, if you wish, destroy that too. Alongside Teardown’s launch on PS5, we will release the Time Campers DLC, a campaign expansion set in the wild west. The new expansion adds to the experience in many different ways, introducing a new storyline that takes you back in time, equips you with old-fashioned weapons and tools, and sets your destructive sights upon a dusty mining town. It’s a departure from the contemporary setting of Teardown’s main campaign, but the heist concept feels right at home in the era of elaborate bank robberies. We had a lot of fun creating new maps and tools out of period-appropriate materials, exploring new types of architecture, and introducing new interactive elements, like the horse and wagon. Beyond Time Campers, we’re also looking forward to other future DLCs. The Teardown experience goes well beyond handheld tools, as you often need the help of vehicles and construction equipment to complete your missions. To make this a rewarding part of the game, we’ve invested a lot of time into the driving experience. Next, spring’s Folkrace DLC will take it a step further, putting you behind the wheel of a fleet of unique vehicles to take on new racing modes and destructive challenges. After Folkrace, we have two more DLCs planned to release in 2024, and we can’t wait to share more about them when the time comes. Creativity is at the heart of Teardown, across the campaign and Sandbox Mode, but that’s not everything. Our existing community has already made some impressive mods, and we’re excited to share that a selection of our favorites will also be playable on consoles. We’ll share more of what those will be as we get closer, but rest assured, you can pet the dog. That’s a lot ahead, but we’re incredibly excited to welcome PlayStation players to the sandbox soon.
