Hello PlayStation fans, it’s great to talk with you again. I’m Kanda, the producer at Capcom behind Resident Evil Village. Resident Evil Village VR Mode was previously announced back in June 2022. Today, I’m happy to reveal that this additional mode will release on February 22, 2023 as a free DLC for Resident Evil Village. You can download and play it immediately when you get your PlayStation VR2. The entirety of Village’s main story will be available to play on PlayStation VR2 in Resident Evil Village VR Mode, allowing you to experience all the events Ethan Winters faces with the greatest level of immersion as he sets out to rescue his kidnapped daughter. Making full use of the PlayStation VR2, you’ll be wholly immersed when playing Resident Evil Village with this DLC. Visually, the vivid graphics of the 4K HDR display (2000×2040 per eye) and eye tracking produces a heightened perception of reality as if everything you see is actually there. 3D audio enhances the realism with audio from every angle, and your sense of touch is enhanced via the PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers. With one controller in each hand, you can feel the vibration, recoil, and resistance as you interact with objects in the world and fire weapons. The Sense controllers also enable intuitive movements like putting your arms up to guard and holding your gun out in front of you to shoot, and there are additional actions you can perform to heighten your immersion. Hold two weapons independently, load a clip into your handgun to reload, and wield your knife with slashing or stabbing attacks. It’s a truly captivating experience that puts you directly into the twisted world that Ethan Winters is fighting through. Today, we’re happy to highlight six titles that are coming to PS VR2, which will bring multiplayer combat, rhythm-based celebrations, mystical-style team ups and a murder mystery to players. Without further ado, let’s kick things off with the reveal of Fantavision 202X. Fantasvision 202X Developer: Cosmo Machia Inc. Publisher: Cosmo Machia Inc. Release date: February 22, 2023 Originally released on the PlayStation 2 in 2000, Fantavision is a puzzle game based on the theme of fireworks. The game returns in an all-new title for PS VR2 powered by the Unreal Engine. The game is an artistic combination of action, shooting, strategy, and puzzles. The PS VR2 headset and PS VR2 Sense controller provides an immersive experience for you to fill the star-studded sky with sparkling fireworks. With its simple yet addictive gameplay, it won’t take long for you to master the controls. The basic goal of the game is to catch at least three fireworks of the same color and shoot them into the night sky. You can also catch fireworks of different colors at the same time by using Wild Fireworks and shoot them with Daisy Chain, which combines multiple colors, and collect items to start the bonus mode Starmine. In PS VR2, you catch fireworks by aiming at them and pulling the trigger, and shoot them with the Circle button. In addition to the single-player mode, a replay mode is also available. You can change the camera’s viewpoint for incredible replays, stop time to enjoy the show, add different effects, and more. You can also experience the vibrations of the fireworks through haptic feedback, so you can fully absorb the breathtaking fireworks display. The AI-created virtual world Altair was once a beautiful archipelago covered by a sea of clouds. Now, surrounded by its collapsed brethren, a single floating island remains. Atop its ruins roam experimental combat AI ruled over by a fully autonomous weapon Laws-Zero. Into this place of danger you must journey and face these vicious creations up close. You are not ill-equipped, nor alone. Team up with up to three other players to tackle these killing machines together and explore the world. Glide through the air and climb walls as you wander the island, then enter into battle using full 360 degree movement as well as leveraging vertical spaces to your advantage. The Tale of Onogoro Developer: Amata K.K Publisher: Amata K.K Release date: February 22, 2023 Amata K.K, creator of the escape adventure Last Labyrinth returns with a new intriguing co-op tale. A VR player finds themselves thrust into an all-too real parallel world where danger and mystery await. You’ll join forces with Hal, a shrine maiden who lives on the island of Onogoro. She’s not alone on the island: five giant, lethal Kami inhabit this isle as well. These raging beasts must be subdued, puzzles must be solved and Arakida Masatake, the mastermind behind the mayhem, stopped. Teaming up is essential to your success. While you hold the legendary Celestial Weapon, capable of manipulating objects and firing Ki once absorbed, some riddles can only be solved by Hal, some only by you. Additionally you share health with Hal, making it all the more important for both of you to avoid injury. In tough situations though, you can hold hands with Hal to heal, so be sure not to miss Hal’s call for help. Infusing traditional Japanese culture with steampunk elements, The Tale of Onogoro promises a unique world full of riddles and powerful battles. Kizuna AI – Touch the Beat! Developer: Gemdrops, Inc. Publisher: Gemdrops, Inc. Release date: February 22, 2023 Cheer along to 15 popular songs by virtual YouTuber Kizuna AI in this rhythm game that’s playable on PS VR2 (and PS VR). You’ve also the option to enjoy a flatscreen experience on PS5 and PS4, playable with a DualSense controller or DualShock 4 controller respectively. Use your PS VR2 Sense controllers (or PS Move controllers on PS VR) like penlights to strike colored boxes in time with Kizuna AI’s on-stage performance, or use the View Mode to freely move around the stage. A variety of additional DLC is planned for release after the game’s release, including additional songs, additional costumes, the singing-specific AI #kzn (Kizuna-chan), and the implementation of #kzn-chan songs. Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate Developer: MyDearest Inc. Publisher: Perp Games Release date: February 22, 2023 This VR investigation game offers an immersive cinematic experience and an epic story from MyDearest, creators of Tokyo Chronos and Altdeus: Beyond Chronos for PS VR. It takes place far in the future in Astrum Close, a maritime city with a crime rate of 0.001%. In this “paradise” city, where all crimes are prevented by “dreams,” the murder of the city’s founder, Professor Rumford, occurs in an incident that never should have happened. Hal Scion, who has been appointed as the Special Supervisor, is requested by the city to investigate this unusual situation. Why was the Professor killed? What is happening in this beautiful city? A clock tower that has not moved for 12 years has now started again. When the final bell rings, seven days will be all that remain. Playing as Hal, your main goal is to solve the case. The investigation will be conducted using Memory Dive, an ability that allows the player to access the past by touching objects with the left hand and reliving the owner’s memories. The present can also be altered by interfering with the owner’s actions at the moment their fate diverges. A helpful ally who supports the investigation is Lily, the navigator robot, who is always with Hal and can provide unexpected clues. When you get stuck in your investigation, you can always rely on Lily, who never leaves your side. In addition to the scene of the crime, the investigation field also includes the beautiful Augmented Dreaming world that integrates people’s dreams, which can be seen when accessing the network. One of the key features of this game is that you can enjoy VR spaces with completely different atmospheres: the real world where the incident occurred and the world of Augmented Dreaming, where mental peace is maintained. Investigate the two-faceted field and get to the bottom of the mysterious incident. X8 Developer: Thirdverse Publisher: Thirdverse Release date: TBA A digital cataclysm of unknown origin has suddenly rebooted the worlds of various action games into nothingness. In the aftermath, heroes of these worlds are drawn together and forced to compete to try and obtain a game engine that’ll restore their home. Team up in intense 5v5 battles in this multiplayer tactical shooter. Each match is set across multiple three minute rounds, with an attacking group attempting to place and detonate explosives, while the defending force attempts to block their efforts. Each hero comes equipped with a distinct weapon and trio of special abilities, activated through specific gestures performed with the PS VR2 Sense controller. Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo A single-seater concept that pushes the boundaries of the hyper car genre. The Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo is the first Ferrari single-seater concept car dedicated to the world of virtual motor sport, with a spectacular and futuristic design founded in the Prancing Horse’s unequalled racing heritage. The Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo draws its inspiration from the fascinating world of Ferrari’s hugely successful 1960s and ‘70s sports-prototypes. Below hyper-modern bodywork and dramatic proportions, the car hides the DNA of masterpieces such as the Ferrari 330 P3 and the 512 S. It is a nod to the past, yet a powerful hint of the future of endurance racing. The Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo’s architecture is crafted around an advanced aerodynamic design and is equipped with the same engine architecture that powers the Ferrari 499P. Here, though, the engine has been made more extreme to develop no less than 1,030 CV (1,015.8 BHP) at 9,000 rpm, with an additional 240 kW (321.5 BHP) available through three electric motors, one on the rear axle and one on each of the front wheels. Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm ’20 The peak of the Giulia line-up, this model celebrates 110 years of Alfa Romeo. The Giulia GTA and GTAm are special editions of the Giulia released to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the founding of Alfa Romeo in 2020. Based on the high-performance Quadrifoglio model, performance has been increased even further for these anniversary editions. The power output of the 2.9L V6 twin-turbo engine has been increased to 532 BHP. Use of lightweight construction materials throughout the car has decreased the weight by 100 kg and the front and rear track width has been increased by 50 mm to shorten the effective wheelbase, all resulting in a significant improvement to handling. Additionally, the car features enlarged front fenders and arching over fenders on the rear, as well as several aerodynamic parts developed in conjunction with Alfa Romeo’s F1 partner Sauber. The GTAm offers a more hardcore setup designed for circuit use. It adds a larger front splitter and carbon fiber rear wing, while replacing the rear seats with a roll-cage. Bugatti Chiron ’16 The successor to the ultra-high performance Veyron. The Chiron is a super sports car unveiled by Bugatti in 2016. This limited production model was introduced as a follow-up to the Veyron, with only 500 units available worldwide. The exterior features large C-shaped lines that encircle the cabin and serve as air intakes. It also features an accentuated center-line inspired by the Type 57 Atlantic Coupe that increases straight line stability. The carbon fiber chassis provides the same level of rigidity as an LMP1 race car and houses an 8L W16 quad-turbo engine. This engine has been extensively tuned since the Veyron iteration to a maximum power output of 1,479.3 BHP and a maximum torque rating of 163.1 kgfm. The car is able to accelerate from 0-62.1 mph in 2.5s and a pre-production prototype was able to reach a maximum speed of 304.8 mph. In 2018, the Chiron Sport was introduced featuring an improved chassis weighing 18 kg less than the original. In 2019, the limited edition ‘Chiron Sport 110 Ans Bugatti’ was released to celebrate the 110th anniversary of Bugatti. Only 20 of these cars were made. Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray ’20 The new generation midship Corvette. The byword for the all-American sports car, the Chevrolet Corvette saw a historic change in 2019. Introduced that year, the eight generation Corvette became the very first in the line to use a midship layout. This revolutionary change is apparent from a single look at the exterior. The Chevrolet’s iconic long nose is nowhere to be seen, and with the cabin moved forward, the body fits the classic midship profile. Without an engine, the front section now serves as luggage space, meanwhile behind the engine sits another luggage area big enough for a golf bag. The V8 engine at the heart of the car is a new generation small block LT2 which was developed from the previous generation model C7’s LT1 engine. With 6.2L of displacement, it can produce 495.1 BHP/65.0 kgfm but also features fuel saving features like cylinder deactivation. The transmission is now only available as an 8- speed dual-clutch automatic but manual control is also possible using steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The suspension uses double wishbone construction on all 4 corners and is available with a height adjustment system for handling high kerbs and other obstacles. The driver centered cockpit features a multifunctional infotainment system controlled by an 8-inch touchscreen. With the engine bay moved to the rear of the cabin, the new generation Corvette has shown itself to be a contender with exceptional performance in GT car racing. Toyota Celica GT-FOUR Rally Car (ST205) ’95 The rally machine that left an impression on many fans, though it only competed for a short time. After capturing the double title of both driver and maker championships thanks to the ST185’s brilliant showing in 1993, Toyota introduced the new ST205 Celica the following year, aiming to achieve even more victories. Although the new Celica had a bigger body, it had better weight distribution due to the enhanced stability from the expanded wheelbase and wheel track. Works team TTE was involved from the start of development, and key contributions were the improvement of overall aerodynamic and cooling performance. The Celica was planned to debut in the 1994 1000 Lakes Rally, but due to unexpected delays in undercarriage development it spent the season running trial races. Entering in 1995 as a full-scale participant, the Celica battled with the newly improved Subaru Impreza, and Didier Auriol brought in the first win in the 4th round at the Tour de Corse. Although Toyota continued to be afflicted by problems with the super strut suspension, the team continued racing and making improvements throughout the season to overcome the handicap. In the 7th round at Catalonia, the Celica was found to be in violation of the intake restrictor diameter regulation and was stripped of all points for the season. In opposition to the decision Toyota ceased participation in the WRC and the ST205’s appearance on the gala stage of the event was limited to just one season. Although it was only active for a short time, these machines gallant silhouette imprinted itself on the hearts of many fans. Play Video In this blog post, I’ll walk you through the latest information regarding the recently announced online gameplay features and additional bonuses included in Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection. Before that, allow me to introduce the Mega Man Battle Network series. The Mega Man Battle Network series takes place in Network Society, where advanced network technology connects and powers everything from household devices to the infrastructure of cities. This system is typically referred to as “the Cyberworld” and has become a part of everyday life for the citizens of Network Society. People carry Personal Terminals, or PETs – mobile devices equipped with sentient programs called NetNavis. PETs and NetNavis allow people to enjoy the many benefits the network provides by “jacking in,” a process of connecting their PET to various devices. Although advanced network technology has improved everyday life for many people around the world, it has also brought with it new opportunities for cybercrime. The protagonist, Lan Hikari, and his NetNavi, MegaMan.EXE, must work together to solve a recent wave of cybercrime incidents. Battles ensue when you encounter sentient viruses in the Cyberworld. The player can move MegaMan.EXE freely within the red 3×3 grid while enemies move around in and attack from the blue area. MegaMan.EXE can use Battle Chips to his advantage when facing enemy programs as well! Battle Chips have several uses, including recovering HP, inflicting damage on enemies in unique ways, and much more. Jack in to the action of Battle Network and strategize when and how to use the diverse Battle Chips that are available to you. The Battle Network Legacy Collection contains 10 classic games, including the different versions of the mainline games in the series, from Mega Man Battle Network to Mega Man Battle Network 6. Now, let’s get into the new online functions! Players can enjoy head-to-head NetBattling and Battle Chip Trading with far-away NetBattlers by connecting to the Internet. You can access online functionalities through in-game submenus in each game. From the NetBattle menu, you can choose either “Practice” to enjoy battles casually, or “Real Thing” battles where the winner takes a Battle Chip from the loser’s backpack. You can also choose “Triple Battle” where games are decided in a best of three matches, “Version Battle” which preserves the rules from the original games, and more. “Private Match” allows you to play with far-away friends by entering a room code. In “Public Match” you can also play ranked matches with far-away NetBattlers. In the “Trade” menu, you can exchange Battle Chips, Styles, Programs, and Folders based on the original versions of each game. You can choose Private Trade to trade with your friends, or Public Trade, which will allow you to trade with NetBattlers from all over the world. *PlayStation Plus subscription is required to use online functions. Let’s not forget the Download Chips! Download Chips are special Battle Chips that were originally distributed in very specific ways such as in-person events held in Japan. A total of 15 Download Chips are included in Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection. Several highly rare and unique chips are included. Finally, let’s jump into the Custom PET Pack. The Custom PET Pack is a DLC containing Special Skins and songs with special arrangements. Special Skins change the appearance of the 3D MegaMan.EXE who guides you in the Legacy Collection. There are also four songs with special arrangements that can be played in the music player. The Custom PET Pack will be available as a pre-order bonus. Make sure you get it! In Vol.1, Hub Style will be available for 3D MegaMan.EXE, and two songs with special arrangements will be added to the music player.
