1. When we announced UNCHARTED 3 we set out to make the multiplayer component as robust and compelling as any other multiplayer game out there. We took lessons from our summer beta and the Subway Taste for Adventure and used them for our launch. Since launch, new design ideas and community feedback have been applied to every patch we’ve released. Our newest patch is lucky number 13, and we’ve planted some fresh ideas deep into the game. Patch 1.13 for UNCHARTED 3 Multiplayer has been months in the making -- it’s our biggest patch ever. Patch 1.13 will be available today, August 7th. If you’re not a fan of reading, check out the patch notes video below for some of the new update's highlights. We have unique new multiplayer DLC that will start rolling out to users as part of the PlayStation Store updates, starting on August 14th. The upcoming DLC can be unlocked either by earning the necessary in-game levels, completing specific treasure sets, or purchasing on PSN if you just want to unlock certain items right away. Check out the teaser video below to see a few of our favorite new pieces, out of the 137 we're adding. More...

3. “Shepard’s story came to a close at the end of the game,†BioWare Producer Mike Gamble told the crowd at EA’s Summer Showcase last week. “But there are more stories we want to tell in the Mass Effect universe.†Leviathan is Mass Effect 3’s first story-focused DLC, and in addition to introducing new characters, weapons, and combat challenges it promises to expand on what we know (and what we don’t) about the most feared beings in the universe -- the Reapers. Set during ME3’s harrowing Reaper invasion, the expansion tasks Commander Shepard with tracking down an elusive entity that, according to legend, may wield the power to defeat a Reaper. Trouble is, nobody’s actually seen it. More...

5. Since our announcement in May about the upcoming release of our third-person shooter Scourge: Outbreak, we've been hard at work wrapping things up and getting the game ready for launch in a couple of months’ time. We're especially keen to see players get a kick out of the co-op narrative style that we've developed, whereby each of the game’s four playable characters experiences their own unique flashbacks throughout the game. These memories are designed to fit together as a kind of jig-saw puzzle, so the best way to get the full picture is to discuss them with your buddies. Some show dubious details about yourself, while others cast doubt on your squad-mates. Who's the real enemy? What's going on? What did you see? More...
6. You folks may have read on the internets about our upcoming release of the Ratchet & Clank Collection. Well, we've decided to make August 28th an extra sweet shopping day by releasing it alongside the God of War Saga and inFAMOUS Collection! Notice the shiny new things we've put on the packaging! What does it mean? Why does Ratchet look so good in green? The answer to most of those questions is that we're officially introducing our Collections line with these releases on August 28th. Over the years we've had all sorts of great deals come your way and moving forward, this is how we plan on presenting them to our consumers. More...
7. Last year we released a special LittleBigPrius level which formed the basis for a popular creation contest. The level was very well-received and has been played more than 300,000 times to date! The winning contest entry, Prius_Eco Adventure became an Mm Pick and has itself been played over 88,000 times – pretty cool, right? Now we’re back again with another great custom level and contest courtesy of our friends at Progressive Insurance. You might have downloaded the free Flo mod, kart, and track content for ModNation Racers, but now everyone’s favorite raven-haired, red lipstick and apron wearing spokeswoman is coming to LittleBigPlanet. It seems that those two salesmen from “A. Nother Insurance Company†have attempted to steal Flo’s bundler tool, with unexpected results! More...

13. Remember back in June of 2008, when the heavens opened and bestowed upon us the wonder that was Metal Gear Solid 4? It was to be the “Game of the Forever” for MGS fans. It was the killer app, the system seller, the reason you had to own a PS3. And to be fair, it was just about the only thing the PS3 had going for it at the time. I had several friends who purchased a PS3 just for MGS4, but as a PS3 owner from just after launch, I was just happy to have something good to play. And honestly it was pretty great. Shortly after the game launched, Sony started the roll out of their Trophy system. Gamers everywhere began asking the logical question “When is Konami going to patch in trophy support?” To which Konami replied simply, “We’re not.” I, along with many others, figured that was simply PR speak for, “We’re not announcing anything yet. (wink, wink)” Nope. Turns out they were serious. Well now here we are four years later, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the series and once again the heavens have opened. Sony announced today that the patch that so many have been waiting for is finally coming. 20 Trophies (8 Bronze, 8 Silver, 3 Gold and 1 Platinum) will breath new life into MGS4. My first thought upon hearing the announcement was that it’s “too little, too late” but the more I thought about it, I really believe it’s a good move. It gives those of us who finished the game and then shelved it a reason to blow off the dust for another run through and will most likely give trophy whores (like one of my Gametwerp co-hosts) a reason to finally play the game for the first time. If you want to see the trophies you’ll be hunting, here’s the full list: Bronze You enjoy all the killing, that’s why. Killed many enemies in one area, and vomited. Bronze Divine Wind Caused a “divine wind” using the Tanegashima. Bronze Hands Up! Held an enemy soldier at gunpoint and performed a body check. Bronze Emotion Control Controlled an enemy soldier’s emotions using an Emotive Magazine. Bronze Hurt me more! Shocked an enemy soldier using Mk. II/III. Bronze Drum Can Addict Knocked an enemy soldier flying using a Drum Can. Bronze That Tune Is His Mind Control Music Played Oishii Two-han Seikatsu and made one of the BB Corps dance. Bronze Overhead view — just like old times… Used overhead view on Shadow Moses Island. Silver SUNLIGHT! Obtained the Solar Gun. Silver I Just Don’t Fear Death Caused ALERT status while wearing the Corpse Camo. Silver Where I Can See Ya Located enemy soldiers using the Scanning Plug. Silver Ghost Photography Addict Snapped at least 5 shots of ghosts on Shadow Moses Island. Silver FaceCamo Addict Obtained 10 or more types of FaceCamo (excluding types obtained via password). Silver Can you feel my power now!!!? Took control of an enemy soldier’s body using the Mantis Doll or Sorrow Doll. Silver Are you an Otaku too? Viewed all model posters. Silver You’re pretty good. Got kissed by Ocelot during the final battle. Gold Flashback Mania Viewed all flashbacks. Gold Sounds of the Battlefield Obtained all iPod® tracks (excluding tracks obtained via password). Gold I am THE expert on weapons, equipment and cutting-edge technology. Obtained all weapons (excluding weapons obtained via password). Platinum The Legendary Hero Obtained all trophies. 14. Did you all experience Metal Gear Solid 4 back in 2008? Or maybe for some reason you missed it? The Trophy system was introduced to PS3 in the middle of 2008. However, by that time, MGS4 had already finished development and was about to launch, so we were regrettably unable to implement Trophies at launch. But, we've always had it on our to-do list and users have given us continuous feedback requesting Trophies over the years. For all those who have asked "where are the Trophies?" we are very sorry for the long wait. However, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Metal Gear series, we are very pleased to announce that trophies will finally be coming to MGS4 in the beginning of August! More...
15. On July 10th, the LittleBigPlanet Karting Beta opened its doors to the world, and for three weeks both fans and newcomers alike had the opportunity to experience LBP Karting for themselves. With nearly 350 levels published every day and over 125,000 total participants, the LBP Karting Beta was extremely successful, and we want to thank everyone involved for their participation and feedback. We loved having you, and we can’t wait to see you all again when the game releases later this year! For those of you who weren’t involved, we’d like to take this opportunity to share some of the most impressive creations that were crafted using LBP Karting’s intricate 3D Create tools. This is by no means comprehensive, but it is a very good selection, and we hope it will at least help sate your desire to get your hands on LBP Karting while we continue to polish the game. You can also head over to LittleBigPlanetarium.com to check out some other great LBP Karting Beta vids. More...

As part of this exclusive access, players were able to take control of characters such as Kratos, Sweet Tooth, PaRappa the Rapper, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, and Fat Princess and battle in environments such as Dreamscape, Metropolis, Sandover Village, and Hades. The feedback we’re receiving from beta testers has been highly encouraging and valuable, helping us craft the best online multiplayer fighting experience possible. More...
