At <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/e312/">E3 2012</a>, <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/capcom/">Capcom</a> offered a glimpse of the three different scenarios we’ll be playing in <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/resident-evil-6/">Resident Evil 6</a>. Players could enjoy a co-op between Leon Kennedy and newcomer Helena Harper in classic survival-horror style in a Tall Oaks full of zombies, face a boss battle with Jake Muller (son of longtime series baddie Albert Wesker) and Sherry Birkin (aka the little girl from RE2), or battle across the rooftops of China with Chris Redfield and his partner Tony Ponce. But the company also revealed a new feature behind closed doors: the Crossover system, an evolution of the dual-threaded Scenario mechanic from Resident Evil 2, this time not only intersecting the story of different characters but also bringing their gameplay together in four-player co-op situations. Brand new <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/marvel-pinball/">Marvel Pinball</a> tables will be available tomorrow via <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/category/psn/">PSN</a> on <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/category/ps3/">PS3</a>! <a href=" ">Marvel’s The Avengers</a>, based on Marvel Entertainment’s BILLION dollar movie, <a href=" ">World War Hulk</a>, <a href=" ">The Infinity Gauntlet</a>, and Fear Itself make up one of our most exciting videogame pinball releases ever. Each table is based on a huge event in the Marvel universe, and I cannot hide the fact that we are very proud of these tables! We have taken major steps forward with our pinball craft and of course, I could go on forever and ever about how great I think the new tables are, but I’ll let them do the talking! Check out the trailer for Fear Itself. So, what is new and different about this set of Marvel Pinball tables? Previous tables were developed around individual characters, pitting you against their enemies with table elements focused on capturing their personalities. With the Avengers Chronicles tables, we focused more on storytelling, basing each table on an event in the Marvel Universe. In order to accomplish this, we recorded more voiceover than in any previous set of tables, and most of the lines are straight out of the comics. For example, The Infinity Gauntlet table alone has 139 lines pulled directly from the comic series and outlines the events of the story arc. A slew of new AAA titles, new features, and new announcements from our favorite games. Although our presence was modest, we still made a big impact. KickBeat for PS Vita won Destructoid’s <a href="http://www.destructoid.com/here-are-our-personal-e3-game-of-show-picks-229461.phtml">Best of Rhythm</a> E3 award, and Zen Pinball 2 was nominated for <a href="http://games.ign.com/articles/116/1165247p1.html">Best of E3 2012</a> by IGN and Best Portable Game by Destructoid. Leading into the release of <a href="http://us.playstation.com/PS3/Games/Metal_Gear_Solid_4_Guns_of_the_Patriots">Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots</a>, Kojima Productions tantalized MGS fans with an iconic trailer that depicted a cybernetically augmented Raiden (a la Gray Fox) slicing and dicing hordes of foes using a razor-sharp sword and acrobatic flips. MGS4’s Raiden was a refreshing departure from his whiny, abrasive turn in MGS2: Sons of Liberty, and before long series fans fantasized about controlling him in a dedicated adventure. Luckily, that fantasy will become reality thanks to Kojima Productions and Platinum Games. <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/metal-gear-rising-revengeance/">Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance</a> takes place nine years after the fall of the Patriots in MGS4. We played a demo at E3 2012 and tested Blade Mode, which you probably saw in the game’s trailer. Blade Mode is very simple: you activate it using L2, which triggers slow-mo and a zoomed-in camera view while Raiden gets into slashing position. You control the sword with the right analog stick: Everything in the path of the sword will be severed, whether it’s a structure, the body of an unfortunate combatant, a vehicle...even a girl’s dress (ooh-la-la!)
