I'd like to know how you all feel about the controversy surrounding EA/DICE's Medal Of Honor (RE: U.Freq. Ep. #71).

 

Do you feel like it's inappropriate for EA to make The Taliban/insurgents a playable multiplayer character in the upcoming Medal Of Honor reboot?

I think that it's curious that a smaller company had this idea before and got blasted so bad they stopped development. But I personally do not have problem with it at all. If you check out this thread http://www.urgentfury.com/showthread.php/75769-Fox-News-Jumps-in-The-Medal-of-Honor-Debate , and watch the video, the lady there, Ms. Meredith, stated she finds it unrealistic to compare the current war in Afghanistan to kids playing cops and robbers.

 

Really? Last time I checked, cops are killed every year here in this country. And there are a ton of games that having you killing cops. I have no problem with these games at all, and I'm a cop. It's called entertainment. If you don't like a particular type of entertainment, don't play or watch it. It's that simple. That's what is great about this country. Your allowed to make your own adult choices.

 

I don't want the government or some other organization to tell me they find something offensive, so I can't watch, read, or play it. Thanks for the advice and your opinion, but I'll make my own.

I don't see a problem with playing as the taliban either. I mean' date=' we've already played as terrorists in past Socom games. There's has to be good guys and bad guys.
