my pc frpze up i need help with recovery (goat where u at)gggooooaaaaattttt

it froze up and i lost everything ....so i thought the we were puting music on our pc and boom alll are old songs are thier so i am assuming all the pictures that we lost are their aswell i jsut need a program or something to recover them ..i seen some free ones online and was gonna do it then i thought maybe i should check with you all first to see if you have any tips for me.....

Try restoring it to a previous day like yesterday or the last save point. What computer do you have?

well i tried restoring it and nothing then.

 

when it froze up the next day it restore to factory setting ....i went on line and found to do a search i did the search and found them all but now i can get them to my pictures folder i think i am goin to copy each and everyone individually..

any suggestions on how to get them form search results to where i want them ...i will probally figure something out in the meanwhile but any tips help

right -click on it and see if the box "read-only" is checked.

 

Also, note the location or path of the source file.

 

Then you can find out WHY that destination is being labeled as read-only or archived.

Sounds like your HDD is about to die. I would not use it for now.

 

Get another (new) HDD, install windows (or whatever OS you use). Pop the old one in as a slave and try and retrieve your data. I wouldn't push it right now.
