I am sure many of you saw on the news this weekend about the tragic accident in my hometown this past week, I want to reach out to everyone one that is able to help the families of the victims by donating to http://www.showofsupport.org For those that have not heard, basically as the parade was crossing the tracks, one of the semi's carrying Veterans and their families was struck by a train. Investigations are in progress but from what I have pieced together from the various reports and experience with many parades here in Midland, the parade probably bottle-necked and caused the semi to stop before completely crossing the tracks. In the past year or two, our train traffic has increased like crazy as a primary route for container trains. The crossings have been upgraded to no require trains to have to sound horns as the frequency has become a nuisance. So far the NTSB has verified that the gates, lights etc are working and even witnesses pointed out that the gates came down and hit the trailer. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the 4 victims and all that were injured. The 4 victims were all veterans being honored by the event: 37-year-old Marine Corp. CWO3 Gary Stouffer 47-year-old Army SGM Lawrence Boivin 34-year-old Army SGT Joshua Michael 43-year-old Army SGM William Lubbers I have linked their submitted auto biographies posted on one of the many news sites

UF: Aftermath for Black Ops 2 PS3 - December Type: Teams Ladder Description: Aftermath will consist of a Monday, Wednesday, Friday Schedule at 9 pm cst. With the addition of broadcasting functions in Black Ops 2 (Thank you) you will be able to watch matches live as we broadcast them on www.twitch.tv/urgentfury. We have had great success with broadcasting Starhawk and look forward to having this function available for Aftermath as well. December's Schedule will run as follows on Mon, Wed and Fri: Week 1: December 3rd Week 2: December 10th Week 3: December 17th Christmas Break: December 24th Week 4: January 2nd (Matches for this week will be held Wed, Thu and Fri) If you have not competed in Urgent Fury, you need to have all of your team mates register at Urgent Fury (this is a one time registration) then the clan leader or designated rep needs to create your team by clicking here. You can create your team prior to all of your members signing up. Once you have created your team, you may add your members manually or members can request to join your team. Rosters will be locked on the Sunday prior to the event beginning at 12pm and a snapshot will be taken then posted in the Aftermath Forums. As a friend posted on Facebook this weekend: There are two holidays that we celebrate for those who server... Memorial day is a day to celebrate the lives of those that gave their live serving our country and Veteran's Day is to celebrate those that chose to serve in time of war or peace and say thank you. As a veteran I can tell you that I am very honored to have had the opportunity to have served in the Navy. I come from a long generation of Military including most of the men in my family. Several have served in various branches. To all of the friends I made on the USS Chosin stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI, happy veteran's day and I hope your lives have been rich with success as mine has. To all other Veteran's thank you for stepping up just as I did for our country. We would be all over this if you could use it for tournaments, but they were very upfront that only PC will be able to set up custom matches But you are right several of the modes are pretty awesome.
