An inside source (and very credible one) has filled us in with some great news for SOCOM: Confrontation players. There’s suppose to be new downloadable content coming out for Confrontation which includes five new maps, three of which are new to Confrontation and two that are totally new to the SOCOM series. And that’s not all. The new DLC is also said to contain new weapons, new attachments and a new faction: Russians. Still think that’s not enough new content? Well, the new DLC is also said to add turrets to maps, new character models and two new game modes that are only going to be for the new maps. As a huge SOCOM fan since the series installment on the PS2, I’m really hoping this rumor of new DLC is true and, hopefully, comes out soon. Remember, there’s no word of if or when this new content will come out. So there are more PS3 units with special markings coming out. The release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete on April 16 will usher in this new 160GB bundle in Japan. The new unit will be bundled with the reworked and extended film from Square Enix, which will also include a demo for Final Fantasy XIII. Alongside the hardware bundle, Advent Children Complete will see release in two other packages: the movie with the FFXIII demo, and the movie without it. The film will include English voiceovers, so those looking to import won't miss a beat. There's still no word of a release date outside Japan and whether the bonus demo would appear in worldwide releases of the film. Here's an alternative to those Mad Catz pads for fighting game fans. The XCM Dominator Joystick for PS3 is due for release sometime this week, according to Engadget. It's a stylish looking pad with some common tricks such as Rapid Fire and Turbo Modes, but it also has four memory buttons which can each be programmed to execute combos of up to 20 moves. If you're a hardcore Resident Evil fan, get ready to break the bank. Capcom has just unveiled its Collector's Edition version of the game for American audiences, and it is loaded with a lot of stuff. Obviously, you'll get the game, but you'll also snag a Tricell messenger bag, Chris Redfield figurine, BSAA patch and Kijuju-inspired pendant. A second bonus disc will also be included, with tons of special behind-the-scenes content.

Word on da street is that a Killzone 2 bundle is headed for Europe -- there's even a picture of the bundle to accompany the rumor. From the looks of it, the bundle will include an 80GB PS3, a single DualShock 3 controller and a copy of the PS3 exclusive first person shooter. No release date was given, but we are assuming it will be around the same time as the release date for the game, February 25th.
