If UF4's game template works as well as we predict, it might become the STANDARD game template for all future UFs.

It has been decided by the creators of Urgent Fury that the upcoming UF4: Prisoner of War tournament, again, scheduled for a MAXIMUM 13 weeks, will host 24 clans total.

UF4 sign ups will be allowed during the time of UF: Black II's second half, and then UF4 will most likely start about 2-3 weeks after UF Black II's end.

Depending on clan population here in the UF Community, there MAY be a UF: Black III that commences while UF4 is being played. SO.....get out there, draft some new clans that haven't made it here to UF just yet, and get them participating. The more clans we have in this community, the better rotation of tourneys Sniper and I can provide for you!

It's sad to see such a great tournament go down like this.. But I was expecting something like this to happen. The tension between the clans was ridiculous, the wars went from fun and exciting to extremely boring. I saw no end in sight for this tournament. I was at nearly every single one of SOTG's wars in this tournament and after week 15, it started to get old and way to repetitive.

 

This is from my experience in UF3 and hope you take this constructively. I hope one day to get SOTG back in UF.

Naw, we'll always take constructive criticism, Zero.....as long as it's not laced with sarcasm and jabs, which some people just COULDN'T seem to do.

But we appreciate the remarks.

You should check out the UF4 thread put up today in the pubby section explaining that UF for will ONLY last no MORE than 13 weeks.

That should make MANY clans out there VERY happy.

We'd just like to release that Sniper and I, undoubtedly, have UF4 SCHEDULED to last ONLY 3-months and 1-week.

13 weeks total....the SHORTEST running UF Tacmap-Tourney in UF history.

This is not a hope, it's not a guess.....we have FINALIZED that UF4 will run only 13 weeks MAX, with the possibility of ending even earlier depending on the overall clan survival rate.

Just putting it out there.

And that was me venting.................i did so without seeking any other KO member's opinion on the matter.....this is just me as a leader here saying you really f'ed this up, and i want my time back........

Due to the VERY ugly events today/tonight caused mainly by members of OGC and BD, Sniper and I took the initiative in shutting down the UF3 tourney. It's unfortunate, but the BS involving these clans had gone too far. After posting up a plea for a new attitude on these forums, members of these two clans ignored it and spammed and ridiculed/insulted this forum the entire evening, and it forced Sniper's and my hands. Any member of a clan that joined in on the debauchery started by these two groups were also deleted, as well as the rest of their clan.

Sniper and I are VERY focused in putting the respect-each-other factor back into these forums.

We could go on and on about what they did, but we won't. They're gone and deserve no more of our time.

For those wondering what will happen from here, I'll break it down for you.

> UF3 has officially ended prematurely. There will be no winner declared. For a 30-week and going tourney, that is indeed truly sad.

> UF: Black II will still occur. Sniper and I will still have 6ravity focus on that portion of the admin duties.

> Sniper and I will take this time to finalize and re-focus our best attempts at the last stages of UF4: Prisoner of War. With the game play devised for this one, we are predicting it will be the SHORTEST running "main" UF tourney to date. Sign ups for UF4 will not happen until AFTER UF: Black II has finished.

> Sniper and I have been discussing, at length for about 1-2 months now, the addition of two new admins to the UF machine, and the two new admins will be chosen from two different clans from the UF community. This will help deter any possible accusations of "evil dictators" and admin wrong doings....which we still find amazing and unfounded.

> Sniper and I will be carefully watching the forums from here on out to make certain that the rules we've set up for forum visitation and posting use are adhered to. This is just an erased reprieve to everyone still here, who still had some "colorful" things to say.

We didn't want to have to decide whether or not to go on some forum-wide banning witch hunt.

The ones that are already gone are gone for very legitimate reasons, as their posts/actions show.

There is a finite number of war meetings a Clan Rep can miss. I also believe that the Clan Rep voted to give you boys another chance, and we did, but another meeting was missed after that. Never a good way to go.

There are quite a few here, and yes, you can lump the admins in there too if you like, that have taken MANY liberties in their posts regarding multiple topics on this forum.

And for the sake of the community and for the continued survival of the tourney, it all has to stop.

There's been plenty of accusations, founded or unfounded, finger pointing, name-calling, insinuations and all SORTS of undesirable posts going on here, and it NEEDS to stop.

So from here on out, it WILL.

Sniper and I have forgotten how to PROPERLY keep the peace around here.

We have rules at the top of the public forum that clearly state no blasting of other players as well as other snippets to post by.....and a LOT of us have forgotten that. Liberties are being taken when they shouldn't be.

We've forgotten to not bicker and argue in the public sections.

We've forgotten to give problems to the Clan Reps to sort out with admins or each other.

We've forgotten the whole "respect" aspect of this tourney.

So....hence....A NEW DAY.

From THIS POINT FORWARD, Sniper and I will be keeping a very accurate watch on these forums, like many other ultra-public forums do, and must now monitor activities in order to keep the peace.

If a clan has a problem with something, the Clan Rep is to represent that clan and bring it to the admins in the Clan Rep Section. That's what it's there for. If there's nothing brought up in there, then everything is fine. If something is brought up in there, then it will be handled with the efficiency that Sniper and I have ALWAYS handled problems.

Thus....the RULES of the forum will now, more than ever, APPLY.

Any member blasting out on another member will be removed.

Any member using this forum's resources in a way detrimental to UF will be removed. Use your OWN forums to plan the downfall of this tourney...but not ours.

The belt is being tightened here, and there was a call for it. And we were ALL the instigators.

There have been a LOT of ugly things said by many people here from a few clans in the last few days, and all that, in the eyes of the admins, has disappeared. We understand it was a heated week, and we're letting it all go.

Any NEW instances, from this day forward, of behavior crossing the line of the standards of this forum will result in that poster's ban from this forum indefinitely. We don't need the poison here. Members of this forum will conduct themselves as the admins set forth in guidelines, and the admins will extend to this forum's members the same courtesy.

Wash it all under the bridge, people. It's a new day.

If there are problems, you have a Clan Rep who is SUPPOSED to be working for you, so make him or her work. The public forum is for discussion...not pissing contests.

Again.....please.......all that ugliness ends now, and our new little day begins now.
