I dont like the no explosive rule.. i know there is that whole " grenade whore " theory.. but 503 has and always will be a non-restictive clan.. We ALWAYS play nades on and ALWAYS allow all weapons.. there was a time in S2 that the 203 was restricted from our rooms.. and due to the normal weapon agreements in socom .. the friendly wars usually had 203s off.. but that was only to get wars.. we would pass and wait all night if needed if only NO BOOM wars were up.. so that is why 503 doesnt enter the no nades or no explosive tourneys.. even if it is small maps and limited people..

i guess we just feel that when in war, that telling an opponent to not shoot you w/ a particular weapon or explosive just takes away from whatever realness we get from the game.. now yea i know that alot of this community feels exactly the opposite so this post isnt to start any new issues .. or gain bad looks at me or 503.. i just finally had a chance to say this w/o being the annoying complainer.. atleast that was the goal.. 503 loves this community and would love to be more involved.. but our roster of 20+ feels the same way about the limitations..  hopefully soon there will be another big tourney w/ no restrictions.. and then maybe my crew will make it in and last longer then 2 weeks.. lol and good luck to all those currently competing..

How many "death blows" will it take for Blu-ray to finally win the format war against HD DVD? I've been hearing that phrase (and writing about it) since July 2007. Well here comes another one. Following in the footsteps of Warner Brothers' abandonment of the HD DVD format, reports are surfacing that Paramount is headed to Blu-ray as well.

This is huge news not just because it would leave just one major studio (Universal, plus the mini-major DreamWorks) producing HD DVD content. It would mark the first time in the high-def war that a studio has abandoned one exclusive format and switched to another. Warner was producing both HD DVD and Blu-ray discs and merely dropped the HD DVD ones. Paramount will have to switch entirely to Blu-ray, which it has not been producing up to now.

According to the Financial Times, Paramount has a clause in its contract with the HD DVD camp allowing it to switch to Blu-ray in the event that Warner was to do so. And exercising that clause is what's about to happen. It's also theorized that DreamWorks will follow Paramount, since the studios are closely tied together.

Nothing's been announced yet, but this should be wrapped up in fairly short order. Stay tuned.

i too cant wait.. i didnt start watching till the last ep of season 1.. that ep hooked me i bought the DVD as soon as it came out and then i have been an adict ever since.. i dont like how late it airs now.. bastards.. always grumpy on Thursdays ... lol

well personally i just think the game isnt ready.. Perfect or not.. now i have high expectations of what this game "Could" be.. but i have CoD4 and it blows all socoms out of the water in many areas.. now dont get me wrong , there are plenty of things about socom that CoD lacks.. like the lobby system.. however the game play is soooooooooooooo ever sooo slow in socom compared to CoD. Slowly but surely i am evolving away from socom... so to keep people like me they need to have perfection. Not trying to be snooty or anything.. i bought the map pack 2 .. couldnt even stay focused to finish playing all of them... WAY... TO... SLOW. I will say that playing CoD has improved my reaction time for Socom though... lol

for your Restore settings did you pick a day that had a system checkpoint? im telling you this will solve your problem.. as well as problems in the future if its done right.. no 1 program will give you the success of removing problems like a restore will. if it didnt make any changes im assuming that you chose a day that didnt have a restore point set. usually windows updates will set these as well as multiple spyware programs that do it as well.. so chances are you do have a restore point.. but you will have to click multiple days w/in the calendar to find one..  again.. i would be willing to even talk you through it on the phone if needed to help you get back to normal w/o spending any money... and if not.. well atleast i tried..

Yaay for the game.... but when is it coming? probably late next year.. and more map packS?? whatever happened to map pack 2... oh yea.. after over a year of Troubleshooting its still in Q/A w/ sony!!!! im w/ junk.. i will believe it when i see it... but i cant wait to see it!

try restore before you spend any money... its free.. and its easy.. and like i said.. 9 out of 10 times it will fix and you wont loose any data.. its the best of both worlds...
