Warheads! Last Tuesday, May 8th, <a href="http://www.lightboxinteractive.com/">LightBox Interactive</a> and <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/santa-monica-studios/">Santa Monica Studio</a> released <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/starhawk/">Starhawk</a> into the wild. I'm Steve and I'd love to tell you about the latest great <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/category/ps-vita/">PS Vita</a> Augmented Reality game <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/table-top-tanks/">Table Top Tanks</a>, which we developed at <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/playstation-games/">Devil's Details</a> in Sheffield, UK. When we were asked if we'd like to develop Table Top Tanks by our friends at SCEE we couldn't believe our luck: Who doesn't like blowing stuff up with Tanks? And we got to play with and help develop PlayStation’s AR technology too. So, we said "Yes please!" and got down to work. So, what's in Table Top Tanks? Firstly, there are the tanks: They're quite quick, nimble and fun to drive and you can choose from 10 different colors. Their main cannon is pretty powerful and you can upgrade its shell type by running over pickups; my favorite is the bouncing missile - they're great fun to spray into the edge of the arena and watch them cause carnage and confusion as they bounce around. To get you started playing the game we've included a single player campaign, which will teach you how to play and challenge your tank skills. More...

Since May 1st, nearly 600,000 competitors have driven more than 51,000 miles and reattempted 52,000 times for their chance to become this year’s <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/gran-turismo-5/">GT Academy Champion</a>. We're taking a quick, pre-E3 break in San Diego, so nearly skipped this week's What We Read. But I did stumble across some informative reviews for games like Awesomenauts (<a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/04/24/awesomenauts-blasts-off-for-psn-today-free-for-ps-plus/">still free</a> for PS Plus subscribers!), Starhawk, and Mortal Kombat for PS Vita, so here goes. I can vouch for that last one personally - during last week's <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/05/01/playstation-loves-canada-youre-invited-toronto/">PlayStation <3 Canada meet-up</a> in Toronto, <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/author/sshuman/">Sid</a> and I enjoyed quite a few ad hoc matches with the locals. In true Canadian fashion, they kicked our arses, <em>politely</em>. Then we played for a nice chunk of the flight home as well. In my opinion, it's the best portable fighter ever. Last thing: did any of you catch today's <a href="http://espn.go.com/sports/soccer/story/_/id/7925180/2012-english-premier-league-manchester-city-wins-title-miracle-comeback">Premiership finale</a>? It’s back! We are very excited to unveil patch 1.11 for <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/uncharted-3-drakes-deception/">UNCHARTED 3</a>, which will be live for download by the end of May. First of all, we can hail the long anticipated return of the Lab. However if your memory is fuzzy about what the Lab is, we first introduced it in <a href="http://www.naughtydog.com/site/post/introducing_the_lab_playlist_and_double_cash_weekend_may_28_to_june_1/">UNCHARTED 2 multiplayer</a>. The Lab is a playlist featuring a unique series of multiplayer game types that our designers have concocted that focus on, above all, being fun. We’re kicking things off with a T-bolt and Pistole only map. So once the patch drops later this month, log onto UNCHARTED 3 multiplayer and give it a whirl. Let the experiments begin!
