It's strictly up to help against the cannibalism we see between many UF clans who typically show courtesy towards one another on forums and in-game, but once a gunner is released somewhere, it seems like all consideration towards the clan letting go/losing that gunner goes out the window.

 

I think this process of putting everything in the gunner's hands is much less confrontational and, quite frankly, rude.
