Some Internet Help

Recommended Posts

Ok here is my problem/question, a website that is quite common(Facebook) to use has been purposely blocked on our network web filter because of one persons actions. My question, is there a way to block a website url on one persons computer? That way the website can be opened back up on the network filter system, and only the person causing the problem can not get to it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I know you can block actions/sites from just one computer on a router, so i would assume you could do that on a network by blocking the mac addrss. Its a Shane question, for sure

You can block his pc via MAC address... if you are on a corporate network with user policies, you could then limit that user by policy so that he cannot access websites on any computer he logs into on the network...

Where do I send the invoice for my consultation ;)

Is there anything that I can do directly on their pc that would restrict a specific site?
