Honestly if I saw the band kids at my old high school doing this I would not be suprised lol. They are kind of odd. But I've only been out of high school for 2 years.

I would love to see more school bands play fun music for the students. I mean high school fight songs and classics obviously take up the majority of their time, but learning how to play Stinkfist on the violin should be mandatory IMO.

Amen to that tool....I always been a fan of symphonic albums pretty sure i have a tool one too. I bet a lot of parents became a little upset when the kids brought home "Killing in the name of" to lisen to for homework...."Fuck you i wont do what you tell me".....VIVA LA RATM

Right?! I'm surprised the school didn't have an issue with the HS band playing Rage Against the Machine. One of my all time favorites bands BTW, but very political lyrics that usually don't coincide with the whole American school system.

 

But props to the music teacher for opening some young minds up.

 

They should have played "Take the Power Back!" And went with this at the end:

 

The teacher stands in front of the class

But the lesson plan he can't recall

The student's eyes don't perceive the lies

Bouning off every fucking wall

His composure is well kept

I guess he fears playing the fool

The complacent students sit and listen to some of that

Bullshit that he learned in school
