I saw this on the PAs forums and had to post it. Just think about how close the helicopter back rotor comes the these guys head on the boat. Not to mention the skill the pilots got to have to pull this off.

very awesome video!! those guys have some serious skillz. but one small correction - they arent near the tail rotor, a chinook doesnt have one like a conventional helicopter. it has two large rotors placed horizontally on its top. the rotor was, however, would be intense.

that might have been the 100th time that pilot did that when the picture was taken. it's what they train to do, it's not pulled out of a hat. if you ever wonder why the U.S. military is the best trained and MOST EFFICIENT in the world, just take a look at those pictures.

 

what happened there was not "good luck" or "amazing". it's what they do with certain frequency.
