ya i saw it in the conference today and i downloaded it onto my ps3. never played a Metal Gear Solid game before but i think im going to get this one.

I love the MGS series and one of the reasons I got my PS3, now just waiting patiently until Kojima releases it, then I disappear for a long weekend, no contact with the outside world, no SOCOM, no wife, no life, JUST MGS!

Is is completely new? Or is it just an english version of the 15 min recut trailer that we've already seen??

Never played an MGS before? Hmm...you might want to play the other one's in order to understand the story of the 4th game. Just FYI...

its not coming out until 2008 so you have time to play the old ones... this is one of the reasons im gonna have to get a ps3

Holy...... that looks sick. I've played all the MGS games, and even the original Metal Gear games (from Subsistence), and this one looks amazing.

Completely agree... but if you cant get your hands on mgs1 for whatever reason.. definetly do yourself a fav and play mgs2 and mgs3..

 

MGS3 has an AWESOME storyline.. but I'd suggest getting MGS3:subsistence.. since it has the 3rd person camera which is AHUUUUUUUUUUUUGE plus to this game.

Oh man, THAT'S for sure. I remember beating the game on the original MGS3, and then I played in on the Subsistence and that camera just made my life SO much easier, and the game just looked all the better for it.

I remember playing metal gear on the NES... Was the first game I saw somone smoking in. lol
