Child seats on airplanes

I'm traveling to AZ this September, and my Mom told me she thinks that childseats are required for kids that you have to buy seats for. My daughter is 3. I told her no, I think she is wrong, but I guess I'm not 100%.

my wife said you need a car seat not a booster a full car seat ...

Check with the airline. They should have that information listed on their website. I don't think they are REQUIRED. But it sure makes things easier because little ones can easily wiggle out of the regular seat belts. Also, it raises them up higher so they can see better.

 

We flew over spring break with a 2 year old and we used his stroller in the airport and then used a car seat on the plane. The airlines are VERY accommodating to families. You can wheel the stroller right up to the plane door and then they will take it and put it wherever it is they put them and then when you get off the plane, the stroller will be right there in the hallway, waiting on you when you step off the plane.

 

Also, it doesn't cost you any more to use a car seat or stroller. It doesn't count as carry-ons.

I know AA used to provide them, but that was before they charged for peanuts, so I don't know

I'm flying US Airways. I don't want to bring the car seat, because it will be a pain in the ass.

 

And I'm flying to Tucson Ghost, so I guess no tatoo. lol

I don't believe they are required. You should be good without one.

when i went to the airport i saw people wit kids carrying car seats in... so idk about this one..
