Join me as I take a brief look at the Hulu Plus app running on the PlayStation 3, developing a killer craving for bite-sized candy in the process. As a temporary PlayStation Plus member, I am able to download the Hulu Plus app from the PlayStation Store. Since I am not a member of the preview, however, I am only able to view a small selection of the content, enough to give me a taste for the service. So far it doesn’t taste so good, unlike Skittles, which are delicious and come in a wide variety of flavors. SD streaming didn’t seem too bad, though the quality is somewhat less than I am used to from Netflix running on the same PlayStation 3. HD is rather attractive, but my wireless connection struggled to keep up, causing frequent frustrating pauses as that episode of Grey’s Anatomy continued to play. I set the video to SD and came in here to write this post. Minutes later I heard, “Okay, that’s it, f*** you, Hulu!” coming from the other room. Well I am not sure about the Sig limit that you are complaining about... there is a fine line on sigs to the server performance... the bigger the sigs the more strain on a persons connection... I personally think that a sig should be limited to a single image like ours are... but we have allowed more than that for those that insist on breaking their sigs up. As for the text there has been some altering of the colors and the text colors can be adjusted but keep in mind that Urgent Fury does have a Trademark as well as a color scheme so we did try to stick to it.

This week’s FirstPlay — the digital magazine for the European PSN — features a nice juicy Killzone 3 preview. It doesn’t reveal any new footage of the 3D-enabled shooter but does confirm something that we’ve been waiting to hear about for a while; co-op. The inclusion of a co-op mode has been rumored before, but the preview now tells us that despite not knowing much about multiplayer, “we do know that Guerrilla is working on a special objective-based 4-man co-op mode to go with the standard 2-player stuff.” That sounds like confirmation to us! For the console community, I apologize, as I know there are many features and updates that you’d like to see. Who’s next to try and hack the PS3? Earlier this year many people believed the PS3 was only a Blu-Ray drive and memory access away from being able to play back-ups, but now, it’s back to the drawing board. The PS3 can’t be hacked!…yet. After releasing a PS3 exploit to the world earlier this year, the hacker by the name of “Geo Hotz” has decided to call it quits just short of completing the PS3 hack. TQcast reported earlier this year, during Geo’s announcement to the world, that it will be years away before we see any PS3 back up games, which proves the strength of the PS3’s firewall. While it would be stupid to think that Geo is the only person in the world with the ability and dedication to hack the PS3, the task does not appear to be simple or cheap. Many others like Geo are hard at work every day to accomplish what has yet to be accomplished on the most powerful gaming console in the planet. EA’s announced a Limited Edition version of Medal of Honor, giving those who purchase it exclusive access to the MP7, a weapon utilized by Tier 1 Operators in the field. The Limited Edition also includes day-one access to the TOZ-194 and 870MC2 shotguns, while the regular disc version requires players to rank up to receive the weapon unlocks. “Access to a weapon like the MP7 will allow players to experience a tool developed with the Special Operations Community in mind,” said MOH executive producer Greg Goodrich. “With its light weight, high rate of fire and its ability to penetrate body armor, the MP7 handles like a pistol yet allows targets to be engaged like a rifle.” Gamers can pre-order the Limited Edition now.
