All in due time, buddy. We know that UF has always been a PS environment, and back in our day, in the first UF tourney, it took us a while to amass the amount of clans we would eventually be catering to. We're not blind to that as we now step into the 360 environment. We have to expose a whole new set of console users to UF. It will take time...but we ain't going anywhere. So no worries. ;D

Because you ASKED me to. LOL The Urban Fury tourney will be launching this summer, giving us plenty of time to evaluate it and produce the best possibilities for a Urban Fury "Turf-map" tournament. Our Xbox360 populace here is still growing. We're HOPING that we will see more Xboxers here in the near future, both for UF as well as UrbanF, all while keeping an open mind about it. There is a tweak or two that Sniper may be making on that intro flash page so an Xbox icon is an easy fix.

Urgent Fury would like to present to you, without much explanation, the following link: http://www.urbanfury.net That is all. For some special SNEAK PEEK information on the above link, please stay tuned for the newest Dv8 News web cast this Thursday night, the 17th as Hi-Def and Asian Apple have some exclusive tidbits about urbanfury.net that we will not divulge here just yet. Attention all PS3 CoD4 clans of Urgent Fury. The Official RULES of the 13-week TACMAP tourney for CoD4, "UF: Riot Act," are now posted up in the PS3 tourney section of this forum under its own Info Center. You can get there directly by hitting this link: http://www.urgentfury.com/uf_forum/index.php?topic=7435.0 Some quick hits about this TACMAP tourney. First off, we are excited about launching the first TACMAP tourney of 2008 as well as it being on CoD4. As many of you know, the TACMAP tourneys here are truly UF's bread and butter. It's our cream of the crop. It's what truly sets us apart from all other scenario-based tourneys out there. I'd like to say that this one will be no different......oh, but it WILL. Not to mention that "Riot Act" has a whole new twist of rules that you've come to expect from Urgent Fury's TACMAP tourneys, but our overall PRESENTATION of the TACMAP itself will be something we've never done before. In the past, UF presented to you ONE TACMAP for the tourney currently running. Sniper has worked his butt off in not just creating one tacmap, but rather, creating a WORLD TACMAP. On this world map, you will find seven total Areas of Operation that all, individually, will hold their own tourney. One of them, "The Fertile Crescent Federation," will be the scene for the entire Riot Act tourney. The name of the AO alone should give you a hint as to where we are placing all the action. The other AOs to follow in future TACMAP tourneys will be: North American Freedom Coalition South Syndicus Zulu Kingdom Crimson Sun Sem-Paredes Islands Norse Tundra Covenant We're looking forward to the exclusivity of smaller-numbered TACMAP tourneys again. Our last TACMAP tourney held roughly 28 clans. This one, Riot Act, will have a hard-number of only TWENTY clans. Twenty clans will battle it out on 60 territories throughout the Fertile Crescent Federation through 13-weeks of very intriguing and tactical play. We would also like to inform you at this time that beginning with this TACMAP tourney, all 13-week TACMAP tourneys will now have a clan fee of $25.00 to participate. This fee accommodates your entire clan's worth of players on a 32-man roster for the duration of your stretch in the TACMAP tourney. We are not offering a prize for this tourney as we do not want to tarnish the name of UF with the arrival of money-seekers. This fee takes care of the time and care it takes to create these tourneys, update these tourneys, provide compensation for our UF Staff who take care of your tourneys as well as potential various "prizes" for the podcast and forum contests we may run throughout the year. With a $25.00 clan fee, it's estimated that your clansmen will enjoy the action of a TACMAP tourney for roughly 78-cents per player. We understand that there will be some out there who find this news a little throttling as well as unexpected. Our evaluation tourneys like Black and Crucible and Crucible-X will always, ALWAYS be free 4-week tournaments. But we truly are using those as "screening" tours for those who wish to sign up for TACMAP tourneys. The TACMAP tourneys will always be top-quality, top-originality and top-supported (is that a term? LOL) with our capable and dedicated Staff, along with Sniper and I continuing the creative drive on the current tourney, the future tourneys, and now, as you saw on Special Announcement #1, the arrival of http://www.urbanfury.net We would like to point out that the WINNER and RUNNER-UP clans of the UF: Riot Act (as with all future TACMAP tournyes) will receive their $25.00 entry fees BACK for making it as far as they did, with the ultimate winner also able to take home the title of reigning champion. The Urgent Fury website will have, for the first time, a permanent plaque that will designate all running champions of these TACMAP tourneys, which will show past winners, as well as the most current title-holder to be knocked down. Well, that's about all, people. We hope that the lot of you that have enjoyed Urgent Fury's free run of tournaments thus far in your clan's gaming time will continue to enjoy Urgent Fury's offerings. What we provided for free before in the past we believe could have commanded an entry fee, and in thinking thus, we could have just offered up a similar TACMAP experience here at UF.com. However, as is typical with Sniper and I, we continually want to push ourselves and this tournament to the far reaches of our ability, so you can be SURE that the experience you receive here will always be the BEST experience out there. For you, for your players, for your CLAN. Thank you for all the support you have given to UF so far. We're proud to serve in this tournament capacity for the long years that we've been running this, and we look forward to many, many more years of service to come. Very sincerely, Urgent Fury creators Undertow & Sniper along with the UF Staff.

Eh, it would seem to be cool in theory, but as we've stated on many an occasion, Urgent Fury will not be hosting any GTA4 tourneys. Urgent Fury stays military-shooter themed only.

UF Community, Sometime tonight, roughly around the 10pm or 11pm CST time frame, Urgent Fury will be releasing two HUGE announcements to the forum tonight. One should already be expected and that will be the posting of the official rules for the upcoming PS3-CoD4 TACMAP tournament Urgent Fury: RIOT ACT! We have been waiting a LONG time to unveil this one and, with the enthusiasm and success of UF: Prisoner of War, we're hoping that this incarnation of the 13-week UF tour is going to knock you guys off your feet. Secondly, we will be making a separate thread with an announcement that, we believe, will be just as exciting as the unveiling of UF: Riot Act. And that is ALL I can and will say on that subject matter. Both threads will go up around the same time tonight and we're hoping that everyone here will enjoy the news and rules release. See you all tonight, again, between 10pm and 11pm CST. - TOW

TONIGHT, actually. ;D

LOL....well that is VERY cool to see there. Almost makes you think Jimmy Buffet is playing UF: Black somewhere. I got a kick out of seeing that. I'm going to see what it'll take to get that pic posted up on our main page of the UF website, Saint.

That's a great looking site, 101. Very indicative of the clan itself. Thank you very much for the UF shout out on there as well. And the APC nod in there was unexpected and a surprise. For no particular reason other than it was there. Thank you very much. - TOW

That might be a cool idea, Chili. See how much of a UF presence we can muster there.....and how much of one we can add after it. LOL

We may agree here. LOL As long as you know he's an arrogant ass clown. ;D
-
Just wondering.... how many clans or players here are in the Illinois/Chicagoland area OR are somewhere near enough where they would potentially make a little road trip into the Windy City to have some sort of a UF "meet-n-greet?"
-
Listening to it now. Typed in "Tool" as my preferential artist, starting me off with "Jambi." We'll see how this goes. Thanks, Viper.
-
Now now now....we weren't saying that Kobe isn't talented and will never win. We simply said he was an arrogant, ass clown piece of crap. But he's still talented. ;D
-
Yeah.....reminds me of the "respect and where has it gone" thread we had rolling here about a month ago.
-
Eh, I don't doubt Kobe's skill. He's a very skilled player. Not a fan of his, it's just the case. I will always have a place in my heart for Jordan above many other athletes. Jordan had a LOT of talent...but he didn't need to showcase it in some stupid video of his acting like an assclown with something to prove by jumping over a car in a self-made video. He took his skill to the court. Same with Walter Payton, which I always loved. Guy was a fucking WORKHORSE when it came to plowing through defenses and getting the touchdowns. Never once did an endzone dance. Handed the ball to the ref and went back to get the job done again. Everyone else that runs in there thinking it's Improv Night or some shit (T.O. and Moss especially comes to mind here) take away a little of their own stoic legacy, I think. My own opinion, though. There's just something very unappealing about arrogance. Always has been.
-
I think Kobe was able to jump so high because he was really happy and showing it. He was able to anally violate a woman and get away with it. *KIDDING* ;D
