You know what...don't even worry about it. If UF wants to find another crew to put it together so be it, Dv8 News is out. I just received a message from one of the members of iLL and am unfortunately very disappointed in the situation here. We put a lot of time and effort into what we do to help further the gaming community in the most respectful way and to have to go thru an arguement such as this on something that was already approved for us is ridiculous. We apologize to all of those who were looking forward to this coverage.

I'm fine with either...the only addition we'd have is to work with whoever the camera operator would be on choice 2 before hand so that we can get the cinematic shots we want and can use for the show.

I would like everyone here to realize that Dv8 News is not here to start sh**. This is something that UF had approached us with back when we first became aquainted. After the interview I did with Undertow from our last show, we talked about in game filming and he gave us the green light. We're not just talking out our asses here. Dv8 News didn't come on here to argue, but we are offended that the thought of us "infiltrating" any clans strategies came up in this conversation. We try to do things as tastefully as we can to respect every gamer.

Um ok...not so sure what this is about?? I appreciate the respect..... <------WTF ??? Last I knew, we supported your clan and even featured you on our show. We wouldn't feature a clan that cheats, end of story. You're taking what I've said and twisted it. THE POINT IS Dv8 News has been nothing but RESPECTFUL to all of the clans here, INCLUDING yours, and WOULD NEVER compromise a clan's strategies. Filming the game would do no harm to either clans AND nothing but good things could come of it. AGAIN, you should be flattered that anyone would even bother to watch.

I'm not sure what is going on with this. The last I knew, Dv8 News was given the go ahead to do in game filming if we were not part of the championship, and we're not. As for posting strategies, I'm not sure how in depth you've seen in game footage but I doubt very seriously with all the camera changes that anyone will be able to make out your strategies. The last point that I'd like to make. These games are for fun...for us all to enjoy and have a good time. People want to see this match and I would think that you guys would be flattered that anyone would care to watch it. The footage that we would take would ultimately be edited...and while filming, I doubt we're going to have enough time between making sure we have a good clear shot and making sure we're filming actual action to really study what strategies each team is using. So unless something shady is going on...I really don't see what all the fuss is about and why no one has bothered to talk about what would be shown instead of immediately moving toward the negative of filming the game. Let me add one more thing...I think, so far, Dv8 News has shown themselves to be very respectful to all the clans, and we would never jeopordize or compromise another clan and their strategies. I think it would be an absolute shame for this opportunity for all of us (Dv8 News, Urgent Fury, and both clans) to miss out on.

I had to learn 3 programs to do ours and ours is still a work in progress. It's not easy and it gets very frustrating at times. So I honestly wouldn't recommend that route...that's why we're starting to outsource parts of our site. It's very time consuming. I hear Sniper is the website guy...you might wanna try to contact him to help you.

Job Descriptions: (may be modified in the future) 1. Forums Moderator - Looking for 3 good trustworthy forums moderators. Must be willing to spend at least 6 out of 7 days on the forums for a significant amount of time. Willing to keep conversations flowing and have good judgement of inappropriate conversations. Tasks will also include keeping the forums organized. 2. Website Assisant- Looking for 2 creative and available Website Assistant to assist on the developement of Dv8News.com along with constant updating of content for the website. We're looking for one staff member to handle the news side of the website and one staff member to handle the Dv8 Clan side of the website. Must have programs to be able to work on the site (Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Flash) and be willing to work under deadlines. 3. Advertisers - This position is open to 2 people willing do do constant promotions for Dv8 News. This is one of the most important positions because you will be responsible for bringing new gamers to Dv8News.com and the forums. You're responsibilities will also include research and execution of other advertising avenues such as Google. 4. Camera Operator - We'd prefer this person to have a video capture card, but if you have another way of getting in game footage and can prove you take good pictures, we will consider you for the position. This position is being open to take care of "In Game" footage. Other duties will include assistance on the show, including converting video files and researching for the best footage available. There will be compensation for time and effort along with results. This compensation is still being discussed, but I assure you it won't be JUST a custom forums title. Applications will be taken until Monday June 9th. Each application accepted will be put thru a probationary period, length depending on the job applied for, to ensure that you are the right canidate for the position. Compensation will also vary depending on your position and work load.
