We'll see about that. Write em off, the pressure is on the Dodgers now to close it out. Cubbies have no pressure now, just go out and play baseball and see what happens. Gotta disagree Smoke. Now the Dodgers have a few games at home to win just 1 game. The Cubs were the ones picked by everyone to go to the world series. Expectations were extremely high this year and for them to get swept by a team who isn't even 10 games above .500 is a disaster. The simple fact is the Cubs haven't stepped up. The Dodgers have so many young guys that are making our cub vets look like idiots. Fukudome has been benched now because he has no hits in both games. The only Cub I won't blame for all of this is Mark Derosa. He has stepped up and hit well in both games. But other than Derosa everyone looks terrible, swinging at everything coming at them, rushing the at-bat. With that said I don't think its impossible for the Cubs to come back they just need to play like they played the last 162 games. Get back to the basics. Getting ahead of the batters(pitchers), fielding well(4errors!!), timely hitting, we can't keep leaving guys on base, and most importantly settle down, playing nervous won't help just do the things you know how, every swing doesn't need to be for the fence.

That sure was a miracle. Glad to see you made it out alive and well Hannibal. And to reiterate what Joe said driving tired is dangerous. I think its comparable to drunk driving. As much as you try and focus you just can't you continue to drift off no matter what. I've had some close calls, although nothing like Hannibal but we ALL need to just pull over and chill out if maybe for even for 30 minutes. Again glad to hear you are ok Hannibal.

Game 1 is a huge deal right now. This is a best of 5 series you win game 1 you've got the other team back on their heels quick and game 2 is already a must win.

plus everyone on the Brewers got an unnecessary look at Lidge. Why not keep him locked up til tomorrow. Hamels had just reached 100 pitches and looked great still.

WOO HOO!! Of course I have TBS but it didn't even cross my mind that it would be on there. Normally they carry all of the Braves games with them out of the picture I figured no more TBS til next season.

Good luck against my boys, your gonna need it. The big D is lights out pitching at home, then you got the big Z in game 2, and the young gun Harden in game 3. I wouldn't be surprised if the Cubs allowed no more than 15 hits the whole series. Well we do have the Post-Season leader in HR's and our pitching is just as good as yours. Your pitching is nothing compared to ours!! Lets compare Game 1 Starters Dempster 17-6 2.96 ERA Lowe 14-11 3.24 ERA Game 2 Zambrano 14-6 3.91 ERA ????? Game 3 Harden 10-2 2.07 ERA ?????? Don't forget the Dodgers only made the playoffs because they play in the weakest division in the MLB.

Nobody said anything remotely close to that. USC fans said OSU was overrated. At least we lost to the #1 ranked team. word! funny how USC dropped to #9 ;D even funnier how your #14 It'll take us less time to recover from the #14 then USC to recover from #9 But your 5 spots behind USC. ;D

The rest of the Big Ten doesn't really need to watch out besides Penn State which would be a really good game. Most of us aren't really that good. :'(

Joe Mauer is 25 Prince Fielder is 24, but thank god Mauer is in the AL ;D Also if you look at the numbers yes howard has tons of stikeouts, but yet still has 4 hits less then Fielder. I'm not saying fielder is better I'm just saying I like contact guys. In my opinion Howard is better for the simple fact that he can run the bases without having to stop at 2nd for air. Joe Mauer is the best and yes thank god he is in the AL for now. I would kill for the Cubs to get him some how. He is the future of the league.

As an unobjective bystander I must say though rbi numbers can be scewed by the quality of the hitters before each of them. or instance I see the Phillies having many more quality on base guys than the Brewers do. Yes I suppose the rest of the numbers don't lie but still I don't like the fact that Howard strikes out so much. I would much rather have a contact hitter on my team than a guy who either jacks a homer or misses completely. In my opinion Joe Mauer is the best player in the game today and he is so young its ridiculous.
