You have to set your Audio and Video settings on the PS-3 and tell it to push the video on the RGB components and the audio over the Digital.. My advice though is to save the price of the Digital fiber line and just buy an HDMI cable instead.. both audio and video run over the HDMI together.

Just to end this on a bit of It's true if you play Socom long enough you turn Gay!! For example I think I'm in love with Mr. Diablo... well at least his sig anyway!!! Cannon, it's not really a matter of if someone did or did not play socom 1 or 2 before, it's more to the point that the opportunity existed for anyone to do so if they wanted. The point being they were available to everyone at the same time, if someone choose not to play them then that's their choice, on the tunnel maps however they are not widely available to everyone. To add they are not officially released Socom and or Zipper products unlike both Socom one and two were. I am sure there were many who purchased map pack one as soon as it was released and still others who waited quite a bit before purchasing and downloading the maps, although this put those who waited at a disadvantage this does not aside from the fact that it was a choice they made and that they were available to anyone and everyone at the same time. I think this plays more to the fact that we are all sick and tired of waiting for these so called map packs.. Socomer's have made zipper a small fortune and many of us feel like we are treated like red headed step children who whine too much when in fact we simply want new and better products from the companies that we have loyally backed by purchasing time and time again their products regardless of the flaws they have. But the price for a pre view of these maps entails giving up a small amount of honor. For me that price is simply too high. When it comes to honor the temptation to falter should be resisted.

I'll wait and see if Tow wants to just delete the whole thread, in the mean time no harm.. no foul..

Undertow's statement hit's it on the nail.. I understand though nothing was intentional on this but things that may give undue advantages do indeed border on unfairness in play. I too feel the pain of the long delay in Zipper's release of the MP-2 but unfortunately I would not condone anything like this in lieu of the official release.

That Phillips is a winner! but if you can find it locally for the same or similar price then don't buy plasmas or LCD's from online retailers.. return policies are usually non existant.. Also the one thing I'd be wary of is what stock rating the unit is.. all products are graded by the manufacturer at production Stock "A" no flaws.. Stock "B" minor flaws Stock "C" major flaws.. Stock "D" refurbished.. many of the flaws concern soldiering points on the boards or other minor imperfections.. the difference a reseller pays between Stock A product and Stock C is a huge difference.. it's the reason places like Sam's club and others have units at somewhat drastically reduced prices.. it's also the reason they never have the same units when you return a few months later.. By law a reseller does not have to disclose the stock grade of the unit.. the reason being the unit has the same manufacturer warrentee regardless of Stock Grade.. For me though I resale only stock A, it's not about the guarantee given by the manufacturer its about is my customers new TV in their house being used or off on a round trip to Japan for the next four months getting repaired.. ? Your not going to get anyone to tell you the stock grade online and at most retail outlets.. hell I'm not even suppose to talk about it.. LOL.. I'll just say in cases of Discounted RETAIL electronic stores.. "you get exactly what you pay for".

LOL! Ok ok and I wasn't going to say anything because heck you guys were doing a great job of things already. but WTH.. It's a highly precise series of options followed in a predetermined strict order which... yea right!! LOL.. eh I'll stop kidding round... First thing to consider is size.. "err but I was told size doesn't matter!" well that's a lie we all learn eventually.. LOL. Size!!! is determined by available space you have as well as personal preference and of course the amount of change in your pocket. Next to consider is use... what will be the main use of the TV? Cable? Sat? DVD? PC? Gaming System? you should sort of pre-determine the order of which each is a priority. Now that "you have your mind right Luke"... you know how big you can go.. how much is your budget and what you plan on using the set for. Your ready for that wall of Tv's at Worst buy or wherever you go. But Goat that didn't tell me anything!! what should I buy!! LOL.. Ok first size: if it's over 40" then my first choice is plasma... under 40" then LCD. but the other factors have a play in the decision.. If you have the space then you can save big bucks by buying neither and going rear projection (they have gotten a lot better over the years and won't break the bank to purchase with an added bonus of a lot more size for the money). And while we are talking money... then once you set your budget it's all about bang for the buck.. STAY away from EDTV.. these are not High Def they are Enhanced Def.. or in other words line doubled a good analogy might be Enhanced Surround sound claims.. this isn't surround sound.. no matter what you call it you can never get true surround sound from two speakers two speakers=stereo no matter what you call it... HD is High def and that's what you want. Next you want the proper inputs... you want HDMI inputs the more the merrier as well as Component RGB and if you get lucky a analog 15pin PC input isn't bad either but that's only if you are hooking up a PC or a Laptop to the unit as well as other components. And lastly use.. mainly a TV? then hell there isn't really anything wrong with today's Tube'd units as for Plasma vs LCD well your sending it a less then perfect signal if you don't have a Sat HD receiver or a Cable HD box so it really doesn't matter much... More for DVD's and movies then Plasma is the way to go... but again that depends on the size.. PC hook up's then LCD's outperform Plasma's.. Game systems? again it's a toss up as both will give you incredible picture quality. Other factors: amount of use.. if your going to be using the unit a lot.. for example as a primary TV with several hours of use every night then LCD's have a longer life then plasmas which don't like prolonged use periods and tend to perform better with lessor per day usage times.. Last year's model over next generations higher cost.. yes if you buy now your hitting the market at a time when many manufacturer's are replacing the current series with new models.. Panasonic, Toshiba, Samsung, Sharp, Audiovox, and LG to name a few. Sony, Viewsonic, Pioneer and a few others later on this year... however many of the new models are including a higher capacity resoulution for example this years release of Panasonics have seen that Panny is now producing many of their models with the newer HD resoulution capacity of 1080p (p=progressive scan) over 1080i (i=interlaced).. of course I just happen to have one of Panny's new units, a 58" plasma, which now has the 1080p capability and the PS-3 never looked better!!! Blu-ray movies appear like you are looking out a window... the clarity is that good!!.. Bottom line, it's all up to you... but once you know the size you want, the budget you have and the way you plan on using it then let those factors determine your choice and don't listen to a thing the salesman at worst buy has to say on it... typically they will push the unit that gives the retailer the best profit since that's what the manager said to do.. in most cases the better bargain is not the less expensive unit or the one that the salesman claims is a big savings over it's retail price.. I will now take off my AV technician hat since my fingers are tired from all this dayam typing, turn on my plasma and ps-3 and go shoot someone on Socom or RG-6. Peace yo, Goat

Sweeper, Not that I can lay claim to being an expert or anything… and I gotta give props to both Sniper and Tow (and yea you too Havok as well as quite a few more of the folks round here) on their Sig making photoshoping skizzles… However if it helps at all here are my meager suggestions.. If your using Adobe Photoshop (which IMO is the schit when it comes to graphics as well as Adobe Illustrator) what I do is start with a blank new canvas. Click new and set the size of the new image (which already has been suggested: should be around 150x400-500 the width being 500 and the height being 150… now if you plan on having images extend out of the sig (akin to many other sigs here at UF) then make the height larger then 150 around 350 or so should do it, even smaller if the image you plan on having extend out of the sig is smaller. When you first click new a parameters box will open set your desired size and mode (I typically choose RGB color for mode.. but don’t forget the last box “Contents†you want to choose transparent here otherwise you new project will began with either a color fill or a white background.. Click OK, you now have new blank transparent background canvas on which to begin your layers.. and layers is what it is all about. Open the Standard-Sig Template Sniper so graciously provided in Psd format.. if you right click on the image you will notice it is several layers for example the top box is a black background layer with a second orange layer on top the bottom portion is comprised of a bottom bar layer that includes some text overlaid layers.. Each and every layer can be individually chosen and styled (also images in psd format which contain layers can simply be dragged from one image to another and then arranged and/or free transformed as you wish) for example choose the background layer again by right clicking and choosing background now from the top nav bar click: Layers/Layer style/Blending Options.. a new style box will open which allows you to manipulate the layer chosen by a number of different ways.. each of which can also be individually chosen and tweek’d even more if you so desire. for example adding a Drop shadow from the Blending Options box will add a shadow to the selected layer once done you can go back to the tab Layers/Layer Style but this time choose Drop Shadow from the pull down tab and you will have a wide variety of additional options specifically for the Drop shadow.. this applies to any of the other blending options. There that should be plenty to get you started or else confuse the hell out of you so I’ll stop here.. As a final note… to add the fonts copy them from the folder you downloaded the media kit to. Be sure to open the fonts folder and select only the fonts themselves.. now go to C:/windows/fonts and open the fonts folder.. don’t try pasting the fonts to the folder from the folder view as many times that won’t work.. you need to open the fonts folder and paste them directly to within the open folder. That should do the trick and you should now be able to select both the Aurora CT and the Planet Kosmos fonts from within Photoshop. Hope this helps..
