WARCRACK! yea so I got totally into Nub type LAN Discovery.. last night. Going thru the maps, setting up the many (any I mean many!!) Different controller configs. So you can invert up/down, Left/Right, and also Reverse Left/Right, along with a few other options. All of these are set for each mode, ie. Soldier, Ground Vehicle, Flight and Hover, it took me quite a while to get comfortable with one or the other but once I did I started to get a real good feel for the flight portion of the game... as well as some of the other portions. Once I did I started having fun, so much in fact that I was up till three in the morning, went to sleep for a couple of hours, got back on a five am and feel asleep controller in hand TV and PS still on, half eaten bowl of cereal at my feet. I just now woke up and realized I sleep away a super nice day here in MN!! LMAO! Oh well, That's a vidhead for ya!! Making coffee now, and then I'm right back at it!!! (in a few hours...) P.s. I see that in order to make rank rooms you can't play in them and have to host them only, I also see there are Server provided rooms but they fill up fast and aren't passworded. I may volunteer to host some rooms for us, if I do the will be simply called Goat or my handle and passworded for UFw only. {either our UF pasword or Goat's standard password. (gto)] that way if I fall asleep at the controller again you guys can play in a ranked passworded room if you like. I'll ask Tow and Snipe if maybe they could give us a private section here at UF for Smoke to provide info such as games, practice rooms and passwords to the new UFw clan. Peace yo, Goat.

Forward: "Being from Louisiana and going to High School and College in Texas then doing a six year stint in the Army, I consider myself quite the Hunter Fisherman.. When I moved up here to MN, I was happy to find that my FIL (father in law) was also quite the outdoors man. The game warden ordered the Norski to show his hunting license, and Ole pulled out a valid Minnesota hunting license. The game warden looked at the license, then reached over and picked up one of the ducks, sniffed its butt, and said, "This duck ain't from Minnesota. This is a Wisconsin duck. You got a Wisconsin huntin' license, boy?" Ole reached into his wallet and produced a Wisconsin hunting license The game warden looked at it, then reached over and grabbed the second duck, sniffed its butt, and said, "This ain't no Wisconsin duck. This duck's from Iowa. You got an Iowa license?" Again Ole reached into his wallet and produced an Iowa hunting license. The warden then reached over and picked up the third duck, sniffed its butt, and said, "This ain't no Iowa duck. This here duck's from Michigan. You got a Michigan huntin' license?" Once again Ole reached into his wallet and brought out a Michigan hunting license. The game warden was extremely frustrated at this and he yelled at the Norski, "Boy, just where the hell are you from?" With that Ole turned around, dropped his pants, bent over, and said, "Vell, you tell me. You're da expert."

I'm in GOAT-gto- But I just got this like yesterday, I can't even find my way around the maps yet.. I don't do many flight games so for me the flying is... well let's put like this.... I SUCK!!! LOL. I've been kicking @ss and taking names on Vegas, but Warhawk is going to be a learning curve for me.

Coming from an APC'r I would expect no less then this. Excellent post and you hit it on the nail. UF is a community and wearing a UF tag is an honor that signifies the community group of every UF clan here. I'm not saying this will be done, but if it is, there will be guidelines and rules involved as well as suspension for knuckleheads that cross the line to Pinheads... LOL. We like knuckleheads,, we don't like pinheads.

Yes I believe what we are talking about is similar to the idea we had with Vegas, i.e. a UF clan for us all to get together for the time being. Since there are only a small number from each clan that has a PS-3 and then even less who have or will soon have this game we can carry the UF clan tag for a while, when and if things grow then of course we can always break off to more clans and or our respective home clans. I agree with Chilli to some extent clan mates tend to stick together even out of Socom, i.e. PBK 4-LIfe! LOL however, I think requiring a clan mate in Socom and forcing them to wear a PBK tag in every game they choose to play just because they are a member of a Socom clan is a bit overboard. And lastly there are some games I would actually prefer my clan mates to not use our clan tag for... example you want to play WOW? you're on your own... LMAO!

Oh well.... I would just download it since I don't really care about the blue tooth thing that much.. but my problem with the download is that it is more then likely ID specific. I don't see how they could do it otherwise and keep folks from sharing the download. I'm not saying I want to share it per say, but I have more then one PSN account, and DJ (my son) now has his own account and ID (a sub account of mine) to use. Now here's the problem... buy the disk and it doesn't matter, just like Vegas, Tiger and everything else he can use my disk and create his own game under his account when I'm not using it. However I seriously doubt this is the same with a purchased download and I doubt anyone but the ID associated with the download would be able to use it regardless of whether or not it is on the same machine. Does anyone know if this is true? My guess is it is, and it is just like Socom's map pack which can be played by others in LAN but do not work online unless it is the verified ID that purchased the pack who is signed on. But I'm not finding where Sony says anything on this??? So I guess I will wait, no big deal. I still haven't tired of Vegas yet and of course I could always try my luck at staying connected to Socom for more then five minutes. which baffles my mind considering my connection speed.. Affliction, Same here, bud. I sort of figured it would only be in the 750mb or so range since that's what a standard CD/RW disc can carry. Although I'm still surprised sure since a single layer DVD can support over 4 and half GB and a Dual layer Blu ray can handle a whopping 50gb!!! So for anyone that has downloaded it, can you tell me if you can copy it to a Flash drive or does it have to stay on the hard drive. Also if you pay for it once, like the map pack can you download to the same ID as many time as you want? Inquiring minds want to know.. and yes I could probably find this out at Sony's site.. but I prefer real testimony.. (or else I'm just being lazy..). -

Agreed LOL.. but admittedly Vegas turned out to not be Clan based friendly, (for the most part anyway, although ideas to implement it were brought up and looked at). Warhawk may prove to be different. Also just as a note. The idea of a UF members Clan for Vegas has not been abandoned.. it's just been put on the shelf for time being in lieu of Breakout and other UF ventures. As new games come out and although Socom is and will always be at the forefront for Urgent Fury Endorsed Tournaments, I can say without going into to much detail that the creators and admins of UF are not so singled minded as to dismiss all games other then Socom as unacceptable. As things progress, so will Urgent Fury. For now however we have a full plate and plenty of new and interesting things to come: along with the tried and true already developed programs. Warhawk.. I haven't got this yet, I called several stores today and even drove to a couple, no one in my area has it yet and all said it shipped today and is due to arrive late today or tomorrow. I would prefer to purchase the disk, but if gets delayed I may have to bite the bullet and download it. -

WARNING – The following is a GOAT POST it’s long make sure you brought a lunch if you plan on reading it! LOL. In fact it’s so long it’s linked instead.. I believe it's informative for anyone trying to decide if they should build or buy when it comes to a Desktop PC, It's just my personal experience with the same decision and why i went the way I did. IF you read it then goat ahead and comment on it. If you dont read the thing (and hell I wouldn't blame you much) at least take a look at the pretty pictures.. LOL. I'm sorry to disagree with ya RedOct, cause ya know I got's mad/luv 4 ya but Dell's SUCK!! yea they are easily upgraded "by DELL" since everything in it is Dell only and only Dell parts fit the dayam thing.. right down to their case and power supply which yea you guessed it only fits a DELL. Get's me how a guy that took parts from every different manufacturer he could find and then slapped them all together into a box and stuck a DELL sticker on it has the nerve to make his computer such that only Dell parts fit it!!! pfft. As for Sony, yea their video media systems do rock but you pay out the nose for them... Bottom line BUILD IT YOURSELF! look in the yellow pages for a computer parts store (preferably near any college campus in your area and go buy a mother board, processor, package along with the case of your choice, the hard drive you need, Dvd , burner etc.. whatever you want, then buy a clean installation CD of Windows XP, Vista or your choice and just build the darn thing! you're going to get way more bang for your buck, you will have your own registered copy of Windows and not some lame RECOVERY disk that simply loads all the crapola back on that you tried to get rid of since you bought it and you get the pride of building your own machine. They really are very easy to put together and set up. With a laptop, your pretty much stuck with buying one retail but for a desktop self building is the only way to fly...

yep, thanks. I saw the web link error after I posted it but I seriously doubted you were going to use this one..(I wouldn't.. HA!) so no use in changing it, don't worry I'll be sure it's correct on anything I do that meets my expectations. Sniper is the Man on these, but snipe is busy as heck these days, and since I have a bit more free time lately I've sort of been offering to help if I can, and as we all know, we have a few others that simply kick @ss as for as PSP is concerned. I'm sure you will find you have a few to choose from since I've noticed how great the members have been at pitching in when someone needs a sig done. I don't profess to be the best by any means. I'll just go blind on it and go with whatever I think fits. I may have time to do a second one for you with a College football theme, but it won't contain a lot of other things and be more of that theme only. It's just hard to make em encompass more then one look at a time, combining football, socom, UF and Hallowed ground along with quotes, logo's, web links, signature's, handles, game ID.. etc.. well you get the point it tends to get to be TOO much on one sig and starts to get a cluttered feel to it. Simple is better. There's been a recent trend of comic book icons for signatures and I'm digging how well the theme fits for UF and or socom sigs. With a handle like Savage there are a number of characters that could be used. Since I collect comics I have a huge library of images at my disposal. Anyway, I won't rush the next one like I did this afternoon and I'll shoot you a PM when I have something put together for you. I'm sure whether or not anything I do fits the bill you will have a few others that will pitch in and I'm confident you will see one with the look and feel your happy with. ok well enough of this eh!! LOL let's move this to the pm dept from here. I'm done with the pc anyway and fixing to fire up the ps3. Goat. p.s. and when I tried to post this and got the more post have been made warning I see Red Oct has offered to give it a go as well, so.. as usual the UF community pulls together. As for Puddy's work.. LMAO!! you gottal admit that one puts it to the point!! LOL! p.s..s Dayam and again I get the warning.. I don't know brother, I tried to get it where it didn't look so dayam busy, but I don't think I succeeded, also I don't think I'm up to my usual photoshopping skizzles right now?? LOL perhaps I'll give this another try this weekend, will probably completely change everything and go from a fresh perspective. The savage!! well that brings up lots of ideas, none of which fit a football theme?? if you're willing to let me go at it from a SAVAGE point of view, I think I can do something a lot better then this crappy one... sry bro..
