    Ubisoft+ Classics is a curated catalog of Ubisoft games for players to explore, inviting them on adventures to explore the ancient worlds of England, Greece, and Egypt; test their tactical prowess; race across the wilderness; and more. With a library of over 50 standard edition titles, Ubisoft+ Classics adds new content monthly. Subscribers can expect The Crew 2 and OddBallers in April, The Settlers: New Allies and Watch Dogs in May, and Anno 1800 in June.

    Most recently, For Honor’s new season, Forged in War, came to Ubisoft+ Classics. For Honor immerses players in an age-old war featuring three of the most notorious fighting factions in history: Knights, Vikings, and Samurai, and the new year is bringing even more to the shores of Heathmoor. Forged in War focuses on the weapons For Honor’s Heroes wield in battle to achieve victory.

    Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

    English shores await raiding Vikings. As Eivor, players will fight Saxons, forge alliances, and build up their Ravensthorpe settlement. Eivor will also meet Hidden Ones who task Eivor with eliminating members of the powerful Order of the Ancients who have infiltrated all levels of society. As players roam thick forests, purple heaths, and ancient cities, they’ll uncover plenty of mysteries and side stories, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla also gives players a chance to experience stories from Norse mythology – albeit with an Assassin’s Creed twist.

    Ghost Recon Breakpoint

    A military survival game, Ghost Recon Breakpoint will test players in their ability to survive almost as much as their prowess in open combat and stealth. Players take on the role of a Ghost special agent, sent to the Aurora Archipelago to hunt down traitorous Wolves. Aurora is a diverse environment, ranging from frigid mountains to dry deserts to futuristic cities, and each biome has unique advantages and disadvantages. Taking this into account will be crucial to survival – and taking out the enemy before they’re even aware they’re in danger.

    Antón Castillo is Yara’s brutal dictator whose relentless drive to produce Viviro – a purported miracle cancer treatment – leaves countless destroyed lives in his wake. Dani Rojas didn’t plan on joining the rebellion, but after an attempt to flee Yara goes horribly wrong, they fall in with the Libertad guerrillas and their fight to free Yara. As players explore Yara’s diverse regions, Dani will meet many Yaran citizens as well as animal companions that will fight by their side like Chorizo the dog, Guapo the crocodile, and Chicharron the fighting rooster.

    London’s falling in the dystopian near-future. Underground hacker organization DedSec has been framed for a bombing, and now work to clear its name, take back London, and protect its citizens from police and organized crime alike. The twist is that anyone can be in DedSec, thanks to Watch Dogs: Legion’s unique play-as-anyone feature, meaning players can recruit and play as any NPC they meet in the open world – yes, even the “bad” ones. Each character has their own backstory and skill set, as well as technological tools and weapons, so choose your team carefully when planning how to execute a mission.

    Riders Republic

    US National Parks have been transformed into an extreme sports playground in Riders Republic. Snowboard or ski down the slopes of Mammoth Mountain; BMX through Zion; wingsuit across Bryce Canyon; and so much more. Players can also take part in multiplayer Mass Races, which pit them against 64 other players to see who can finish the course first.

  17. PSBlog Feed: Gran Turismo World Series 2024 begins with online qualifiers April 17

    Attention Gran Turismo drivers! We’re excited to announce details of the Gran Turismo World Series 2024. Gear up and get ready for another nail-biting season as we start a new format – The Nations Cup and Manufacturers Cup will feature six rounds of Online Qualifiers each.* The best players will progress to four live rounds with spectators, culminating in the World Finals

    Montreal, Prague and Tokyo announced as host destinations for the Gran Turismo World Series Rounds 1-3 with the venue for the World Finals to be announced.

    Play Video Gran Turismo World Series 2024 begins with online qualifiers April 17

    The Gran Turismo World Series 2024 gets underway on Wednesday, April 17. Any player who has a copy of Gran Turismo 7 for PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 can enter the series by heading to the Sport mode in the game. Once there, sign up for the Nations Cup – racing to represent your home country or territory – and/or the Manufacturers Cup, racing for your favorite manufacturer.

    First up from April 17 are the Online Qualifiers for the Nations Cup: six rounds played out over three weeks. From Wednesday, 8 May the action switches to the Manufacturers Cup, similarly with three weeks and six rounds of Online Qualifiers.

    At the end of the Online Qualifiers, the top players will be selected to attend the live events. In a change to the format for 2024, three live Gran Turismo World Series Rounds will lead into the end-of-season World Finals.

    The calendar for the Gran Turismo World Series 2024 live events is as follows:

    • Round 1 – Montreal, Canada | Saturday, 6 July
    • Round 2 – Prague, Czechia | Saturday, August 10
    • Round 3 – Tokyo, Japan | Saturday, September 28
    • World Finals – Date and location to be announced

    Fans unable to attend the live events won’t miss any of the action, with each round set to be broadcast live on https://www.gran-turismo.com/world/live/ and https://www.youtube.com/@GRANTURISMOTV.

    In the Nations Cup, the top 12 players (five from the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region; two each from the Central & South America, North America and Asia regions; and one from the Oceania region) will be invited to compete in all four live events. With the 2024 Nations Cup reverting to an individual competition, the 12 competitors will battle at all three Gran Turismo World Series Rounds and the World Finals. Points accumulated at each round will determine the overall 2024 World Champion.

    The Manufacturers Cup remains a team competition, but with a new twist for 2024. World Series partners Toyota Gazoo Racing, Mazda and Genesis are guaranteed a starting spot at each live event. The other top manufacturers from the Online Qualifiers ranking will create a total field of 12. In the Gran Turismo World Series Rounds 1-3, each manufacturer will be represented by their top driver from the corresponding region to where the event is hosted – Americas in Montreal, EMEA in Prague and Asia-Oceania in Tokyo. For the World Finals, the three drivers per team will be united to compete together. Again, points will be cumulative to decide the World Champions.

    The Gran Turismo World Series began in 2018, and 2024 is the seventh season of the ultra-competitive SIM racing championships. In 2023, a thrilling World Finals played out before a lively audience in Barcelona.

    It was an unexpected, and first-ever, win for Team Nissan in the Manufacturers Cup with Ryota Kokubun (JPN), Mehdi Hafidi (FRA) and Mateo Estevez (ARG) taking home the trophy. Team Mercedes-AMG and Team Genesis completed the podium.

    In the Nations Cup, Team Spain was dominant in front of their enthusiastic and very vocal home crowd. The experienced Coque López and Jose Serrano were joined in the team by exciting, young newcomer Pol Urra to record an impressive win ahead of Team Japan and Team Brazil.

    Michelin, Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR), Genesis, Mazda, Brembo and Fanatec continue their support as official partners of the Gran Turismo World Series in 2024.

    The Gran Turismo World Series is open to all players with any PS Plus membership for the online rounds through the ‘Sport’ mode in Gran Turismo 7. The Online Qualifiers are organized into a League format with three brackets determined by Driver Ratings, so that players compete in races against opponents of a similar level. Qualification for the live events is subject to terms and conditions which players can read and accept in game.

    Foamstars Producer Kosuke Okatani here. I hope that everyone is enjoying the Foamstars Groovy Disco season. I’d like to share details regarding the new season Mysterious Swing which begins from Friday April 12.

    New Foamstar – Chloe Noir

    Mysterious Swing will feature the new Foamstar Chloe Noir. Chloe Noir is a Foamstar who combines a charge rifle–that can shoot straight foam shots–with skills to hunt down opponents using her bubble beastie, Ciel. She blasts all her enemies with the utmost precision.

    Everyone can unlock Chloe Noir for free by progressing the Season Pass to Tier 31. 

    She may also be unlocked immediately for users who purchase the Premium Pass, so please check out the Season Pass!

    Mysterious Swing – Season Pass introduction

    Earn XP via online matches, completing missions or clearing Challenges to progress through the Season Pass tiers and unlock skins, items, and more for free. In the Mysterious Swing Season Pass: Chloe Noir, a weapon skin for Jet Justice, a character skin for Mel T, and more will be unlockable. By purchasing the paid Premium Pass, you can unlock even more glorious rewards. Players will immediately unlock any rewards up to their Season Pass tier at time of purchase.

    New feature – Skill Gems 

    Mysterious Swing will introduce Skill Gems as a fourth slot of bubble gems which are used to strengthen your Foamstars. Skill Gem effects differ among the Foamstars allowing players to enhance each Foamstars’ skills and Superstar skill. Try making a Skill Gem by using Energy Stones acquired from playing! The existing three bubble gem slots are now categorized as Star Gems.

    Ranked Party – Compete for seasonal rankings

    Mysterious Swing will also have both the solo-based Ranked Party Lonestar and the team-based Ranked Party Tribe-Vibe as limited-time events.

    Ranks are categorized into seven tiers: Bronze Star, Silver Star, Gold Star, Platinum Star, Diamond Star, Superstar, and Party Legend. Once enough Rank Points (RP) have been attained, you will be able to partake in Rank Up Trials.

    Extreme Party – season events with crazy rules

    The new season will also feature two types of Extreme Parties and hold each event twice during the season. All players will battle with Chloe Noir in the All Chloe Party. The second event, Bubbly Penguin Party, will have all players use Penny Gwyn while only being able to use her two skills and Superstar skill to battle.

    Unlock free in-game items available for a limited-time

    Throughout the season, we will be providing items that are unlockable for free in the in-game shop’s Events section. The items will be updated each weekend, so please check out the in-game shop!
