Cooperative futuristic espionage, remastered martial arts mayhem and dogfights in a galaxy far, far away await you thanks to the PlayStation Plus game lineup for June. New titles Operation: Tango and Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown make their PlayStation debut, while Star Wars Squadrons gives you the chance to pilot iconic starcraft like the X-wing and TIE fighter. All three games will be available to play for PlayStation Plus members on Tuesday, June 1. Let’s take a closer look at each of them. Play Video Operation: Tango | PS5 version only* Team up to save the world in this cooperative spy adventure, challenging you and a friend to join up online** to complete dangerous missions across the globe in a high-tech near-future world. Combine skill sets from different points of view – playing either Hacker or Agent – to overcome asymmetrical challenges, working in tandem with only your voice to link you. Teamwork is crucial, and communication is key! Note: Operation: Tango requires both players to have access to a working microphone. Operation Tango will be available to PlayStation Plus members until Monday, July 5. Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown | PS4 Sega’s iconic one-on-one battler gets a feature-rich remaster, overseen by Yakuza and Judgment developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. Debuting on PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now, both Virtua Fighter veterans and newcomers will be able to test all-new online modes such as ranked matches, tournaments and leagues, while enjoying overhauled visuals and redesigned UI. There’s no better way to enjoy this groundbreaking fighting series. The game will not only be available on PlayStation Plus for about two months – June and July – but it’ll also be releasing on PlayStation Now in June! PlayStation Plus members can enter Virtua Fighter 5’s arenas starting Tuesday, June 1. Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown will be available to PlayStation Plus members until Monday, August 2. Play Video Star Wars: Squadrons Master the art of starfighter combat in frenetic multiplayer space dogfights, and learn what it means to be a pilot in a thrilling Star Wars single-player story set after the events of Return of the Jedi and seen from alternating perspectives of two factions. The New Republic fights for freedom. The Empire demands order. Take control of iconic craft such as the X-wing and TIE fighter, customize loadouts and cosmetics, divert power between weapons, shields and engines while immersing yourself in the cockpit. You’ll also have the option to play the entirety of the game in virtual reality on PS VR***! Star Wars: Squadrons will be available to PlayStation Plus members until Monday, July 5. Last chance to download the PlayStation Plus lineup for May As new games join, others leave. After an intense 11 days, qualifying for the Olympic Virtual Series Motor Sport Event is now over and we can reveal the 16 Gran Turismo Sport players who will be racing for glory in the final that will be broadcast on Olympic Day, June 23. With fractions of a second being squeezed out daily from the Tokyo Expressway South Inner Loop in the Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept Gr.3, the action went down to the wire to finalise the top 16 of the Global Online Qualification event. But at the top of that exclusive list, the fastest time was set with three days of the time trial still to go when Italy’s Valerio Gallo (Williams_BRacer) recorded a 1’55.046. His stunning lap held off challenges from second-placed Andrew Brooks (PX7-Deafsun) from Canada who set a 1’55.098 with one day of the event left and France’s Baptiste Beauvois (R8G_TSUTSU) whose 1’55.102 with 12 hours to spare secured him the third qualifying spot for the final. They will enter the Olympic Virtual Series Motor Sport Event as favourites, but with less than four-tenths of a second separating the 16 qualifiers from all over the world, the stage is set for some ultra-close racing to decide our winner. With Gallo Europe’s fastest and Brooks heading the North American table, Japan’s Takuma Miyazono (Kerokkuma_ej20) (1’55.109) was Asia’s fastest. Angel Inostroza (YASHEAT_Loyrot) (1’55.117) from Chile took the honours for Central & South America with Australia’s Adam Wilk (Adam_2167) (1’55.249) taking the only place in the final for the Oceania region. Check out the 16 best qualifying times at the end of this article. Announced in April, the Olympic Virtual Series is a new initiative from the International Olympic Committee (IOC). They have partnered with five international sports federations and corresponding games publishers to create virtual events in Baseball, Cycling, Rowing, Sailing, and Motor Sport. The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and Polyphony Digital Inc. were proud to be chosen to create the Olympic Virtual Series Motor Sport Event on Gran Turismo Sport. Seven countries from the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region will be represented in the final along with the top four from Asia, one from Oceania, two from North America and two from Central & South America. See you on June 23 when the event streams live on PlayStation’s Twitch channel. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/PSBlog/~4/lBDfdXRMYaMView the full article

PlayStation users – wow, did you deliver and provide some of the best in-game photography to date! Today Red Bull Capture Point, this year’s brand-new competition highlighting the creativity of gamers in the United States, came to a conclusion and awarded winners in six categories who played, captured, and submitted incredible in-game photos of select PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 titles. Over the last several months, contestants submitted photos snapped from Demon’s Souls, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, and The Last of Us Part II for the chance to win some spectacular prizes and be featured in an in-person gallery in New York as well as a virtual exhibition experience. Red Bull Capture Point competitors were asked to take and submit up to 18 in-game photos across five, award-winning PlayStation titles, using each title’s in-game photo mode and the Share/Create button. Winners were judged and chosen by a panel of experts, including top video game creatives and developers from each of the participating studios, who determined the top photographer in six unique categories: Category Winners Winners in each category receive a PS5 console (with Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive) and various accessories including a Red Bull Trophy, one DualSense wireless controller, one DualSense Charging Station, one Pulse 3D Headset, one 12-month PlayStation Plus Subscription, one 12-month PlayStation Now Subscription, an unlock of one copy of five yet to be released PlayStation Studio Games upon release, and advancement to the Best of Show competition at the Capture Point Digital Gallery Experience. The Great Outdoors – @DeSKA0209 Emotions Run High – @Spooked_gamer This Is Fun – @BetweenDPixels Frozen In Time – @NoviKaiba23 Catch The Light – @theotherlaser Edge of Reality – ccf_photomode Each category winner will be featured in a “Best of Show” reveal at the Red Bull Capture Point Digital and In-Person Gallery Experience, taking place Friday, May 28 through Sunday, May 30 at the High Line in New York, NY. The virtual gallery allows fans who are not able to attend the in-person New York exhibition with a unique digital experience where they will be allowed to explore a replica of the High Line physical exhibition through a customizable avatar. From there, attendees will be able to travel through portrait “portals” – transporting them to a dynamic and engaging virtual gallery experience, including six extraordinary art spaces reflective of the six competition categories. For more details on how to attend the virtual exhibition or in-person gallery in New York, head to redbull.com/capturepoint. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/PSBlog/~4/B3r29CohD1kView the full article

Hello, CoMmunity! Last year, we held the first-ever DreamsCom, a community convention dedicated to showing off a ton of the brilliant creators and creations in the Dreamiverse. We thought it turned out to be a pretty fun experience – and you seemed to agree. Classic us, being on the same page with stuff. So, yes: DreamsCom returns this year. We’re thrilled to be doing this again, and we’re determined to make this year’s show even better than the last. You can expect even more to play, watch, read, create and get involved in. “But wise people of Media Molecule!,” we hear you cry. “How will I know where to start when browsing the show floor and in-game playlists?” It’s an excellent (and flattering) question, and one that we’ve anticipated. This year, we’ll be bringing you multiple days of official DreamsCom coverage live on stream, courtesy of our new editorial brand The Impsider. We’ll be kicking off proceedings with a livestream, in which we’ll give you an advance look at the week of DreamsCom broadcasts ahead, on Tuesday July 27 at 5PM BST / 9am PST via our Twitch channel. The very next day, on Wednesday July 28, we’ll open up the DreamsCom ‘21 show floor, which is – you guessed it – entirely #MadeInDreams! Like last year, you’ll be able to wander about the halls and visit creators’ booths to check out all the amazing stuff you’ve seen on stream for yourself. The expo will run until Monday 2nd August to give you plenty of time to look around, admire everybody’s handiwork, and snap a bunch of photos. From Wednesday July 28 until Friday July 30, you can tune in to our Twitch channel to catch us playing and chatting about some of the DreamsCom creations we’re most excited about, as part of The Impsider’s extended DreamsCom coverage. We’ll also be running developer sessions in which we interview dreamers about their work, their creative inspirations, and possibly even their favorite type of biscuit if we start running out of grown-up questions. Hopefully this should give DreamsCom visitors a few ideas for what they might like to check out first at the expo. After all, we’re hoping that – like last year – it’s going to be packed to the rafters with bright, brilliant booths… made by YOU! This is your open invitation to exhibit at DreamsCom 2021 by customising a booth to represent your in-development projects or in-Dreams studios on the show floor. Fancy becoming an exhibitor? We’ve made it simple for you: we’ve released a remixable booth template into the Dreamiverse, and it’s available right now. You can also find the template in Dreams by searching “DreamsCom 21 Booth Template.” You’ll be able to customise it to your liking to really represent what kind of creator you are. We’ve also provided an Mm-created collection of fun and conventional – get it? – props to include, if you’d like something to get your creative juices flowing. There’s a handy guide to follow, too, so that together we can ensure we create the best possible experience for all our DreamsCom visitors. Head here for more info if you’re planning to submit a booth! You’ve got until Friday June 18 to submit your finished booth – you can do so using our special submissions tool: indreams.me/challenges Who’s hype for DreamsCom ‘21? We’re hype for DreamsCom ‘21, and we hope you are too. We can’t wait to see you all there! http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/PSBlog/~4/JSPcZMyx4RAView the full article

Since its first release on PlayStation 2 back in 2004, the Samurai Warriors franchise has invited players to slash through droves of enemies with stylish flair. To mark the upcoming July 27 release of Samurai Warriors 5 on PlayStation 4, I sat down with Samurai Warriors producer and Koei Tecmo president, Hisashi Koinuma, to discuss the evolution of the iconic action series. What’s it like working on a video game franchise for 18 years? “It’s amazing, but I never thought I’d be working on this series for so long,” says Koinuma. “We made the first Samurai Warriors title in response to how popular Dynasty Warriors 2 was, and we wanted to make a Japanese counterpart set in the Sengoku period, in the same way that we have the Romance Of The Three Kingdoms and Nobunaga’s Ambition series. “Fortunately the first Samurai Warriors game was very well received and continues to be enjoyed by the fans to this day. It’s thanks to their support that we were able to continue the series for this long.” But what does Koinuma-san have up his sleeves for the latest, and what he calls “re-imagined” Samurai Warriors 5? We caught up with the boss behind the in-game bosses to find out. Q: After almost two decades of working on Samurai Warriors, what’s your favorite thing about working on the franchise? A: My favorite thing is choosing which Samurai Warriors to include from the Sengoku period when we are working on creating the theme of the story, along with seeing the reactions from all of our fans when they see them in the game. In Japan, it is really fascinating to see the response not only from fans, but from regions that have a connection to those Samurai Warriors, especially museums and public transportation companies such as trains and taxis. Q: Why did you decide to drastically overhaul the visuals for the new game? A: The theme for Samurai Warriors 5 is to rewrite the first title, so we decided to re-imagine everything in the series. The story, characters, action system, and also the art and visual style were all aspects we wanted to re-imagine. Q: How would you best describe the re-imagined look of SW5? A: We continuously discussed what would work best as a Japanese aesthetic for the game, and after taking everything into consideration, we decided on a visual style that looked like an illustration that incorporated aspects of Japanese ink paintings. We were going for a dynamic yet detailed look for this new entry in the series, and I feel we have achieved an art style that is recognizable as being completely different from the rest of the series just with once glance. Q: What influenced the new art style for SW5? A: As I noted in regards to describing the new look, we had a lot of inspiration from Japanese ink paintings, one of the major styles of ink wash paintings, along with Japanese pop art which has received a lot of praise from around the world. We also took inspiration from a number of different games as well. Q: Looking back throughout the history of the game, what are some of the biggest visual changes that have been made throughout the years leading up to SW5? A: The first Samurai Warriors game was released on PS2, so having access to shading technology, which was becoming popularized at that time, was a big change for the visual style of the game. As a result, the photo-realistic style became more prevalent, along with more detailed cel shading technology, along with 2D art styles which have become popularized in smartphone apps. These were all really big changes in technology for us. Thanks to all of these tools and technological advances, we were able to take these styles into account when creating Samurai Warriors 5, and we decided to pursue a visual style that could only be done in this title. Samurai Warriors 3 was the first in the series to add the Spirit Gauge when it first hit Japan back in 2009. Q: When you were working on the original SW, what did you think of the graphics? 17 years later, what do you think of the original game’s look now? A: The visual style for Samurai Warriors used the Dynasty Warriors series as a base, while attempting to develop a design that takes into account Japanese art elements such as ink painting styles. However, I can’t say we were able to achieve that given the technology available at the time. As we continued the series, the time period each title takes place in slowly moved towards the latter half of the Sengoku period, the visual style became more luxurious to reflect that specific era. In Samurai Warriors 5, we were able to look back on the Japanese art style we were going for in the first entry in the series, and I think we have been able to accomplish that this time, albeit in a different style. Samurai Warriors 4 debuted in the U.S. on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita in October, 2014. Q: A character like Nobunaga is featured in every Samurai Warriors game to date. Take us through how his character art and style has changed in each game. A: In the original Samurai Warriors, we designed Nobunaga around his Demon King image. We designed him with western style black armor and a cape, along with adding a purple aura to his weapon, in order to give Nobunaga the image of a “last boss.” In Samurai Warriors 2, compared to his design in the previous title, we added gold ornaments to him, along with making his appearance more striking and extravagant. To go along with that, we decorated his shoulders with black feathers to balance out the design. These black feathers also appear during his event scenes, symbolizing this particular image of Nobunaga in this title. For Samurai Warriors 3 we changed the western black armor and cape design we had used for Nobunaga up until this entry in the series by going with a different direction. Specifically we went with a design where Nobunaga is wearing a battle surcoat over his armor. In order to make sure his silhouette wouldn’t pale in comparison to the other designs in the series, we made sure to add in various changes such as ensuring the shape of his armor was very characteristic in this installment. In Samurai Warriors 4, we went back to his trademark western armor and cape, along with the most ornate armor in the series’ history. We put in a lot of hard work and effort into ensuring that his design didn’t lose his Demon King and “last boss” appearance in each title. This brings us to Samurai Warriors 5. We re-imaged the Samurai Warriors series for this installment, and based the design of Nobunaga Oda off of his younger years when he was known as Owari’s Great Fool. As he is much younger in this title, we adjusted the look and coverage of his armor in this design in order to make sure he had the proper appearance fitting of a main character. Jump into the most recent evolution of the storied action franchise when Samurai Warriors 5 slices onto PS4 July 27. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/PSBlog/~4/X5Rmsd0MqiQView the full article

Everyone’s favorite Wutai ninja, Yuffie Kisaragi, returns in Final Fantasy VII Remake Episode Intermission. Although she was an optional character that you could completely skip over in the original 1997 PlayStation release of Final Fantasy VII, this brand new episode will have you playing as Yuffie, alongside new characters, as she infiltrates the shadowing Shinra Corporation to steal a powerful materia and restore glory to her homeland. Alongside multiple new combat and gameplay additions with her flashy attacks and unique abilities utilizing her iconic massive throwing star, Yuffie’s appearance in this release brings back signature elements of her beloved design, along with a new disguise. Keep reading to find out what Final Fantasy VII Remake Director Tetsuya Nomura has to say about how he wanted to bring Yuffie to life for this new episode For the uninitiated, Final Fantasy VII Remake launched last year on the PlayStation 4 system to critical acclaim, and we’re bringing it back better than ever as Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade an enhanced and expanded version especially for the PlayStation 5 on June 10. This new version includes a wealth of graphical, gameplay and system enhancements, including improved textures and character models, Graphics Mode for 4K with HDR support, Performance Mode enabling 60 frames per second, and a newly added customizable Photo Mode. World-class materia hunter, the one-and-only Yuffie! Could you discuss Yuffie’s design for the remake, and what you were trying to accomplish? Tetsuya Nomura: I would say I was most particular about whether or not she looked her age. Yuffie is younger than the other main members, as she is still in her teens. While Cloud and company do have youthful looking faces too, I wanted to make Yuffie look even younger and not fully grown up, so that compared to her, Cloud and crew would look more mature to an extent. Explore Sector 7 from a whole new perspective We saw Weiss, and an homage to the Moogle outfit from Dirge of Cerberus – Final Fantasy VII, but were there any other details about Yuffie being pulled in from expanded FFVII media? Nomura: I wasn’t necessarily aiming to pay homage, but I did want Yuffie to appear in a disguise at first. I had recalled that she was dressed like that in Dirge of Cerberus – Final Fantasy VII, and so I gave her a similar look here. Same goes for Weiss—I chose him because he is a powerful enemy outside of Sephiroth. Do you recall your headspace and emotions when designing Yuffie in the original FFVII? What were your thoughts then, and how has your perspective of her changed overtime? Nomura: At the time of the original and even now, my perspective of her has not changed very significantly. Yuffie is an energetic and straightforward character. That being said, as this episode is centered around her, I believe we were also able to depict her sensitive side. Since the original’s release we saw Yuffie’s design change in Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus, but how do you come up with your designs? Nomura: I generally try not to change her silhouette. I also make sure to match her signature elements, such as her shorts, as close to the original as I can. Even the most out-of-reach items are no match for Yuffie’s Shuriken Yuffie’s massive shuriken is iconic. When we imagine a ninja, we picture various weapons like the Kunai, or a small katana, but what made you choose the shuriken? Nomura: The reason for that is because out of all the weapons that the ninja job could wield in the Final Fantasy titles that released before Final Fantasy VII, the shuriken was especially powerful. Yuffie partners up with Sonon to unleash the devastating Synergized Windstorm attack. Yuffie is very mischievous in the original FFVII. From a personality perspective, how does this approach to her character vary from the original game? Nomura: When considering Yuffie in a large group, you can’t help but notice how energetic she is, but I think she is also a character whose inner workings become more visible the closer you get. In this episode, you will mainly be following Yuffie and a new character, her partner Sonon. So, I believe that you will be able to get closer to Yuffie than usual. How did the team decide to bring Yuffie as the main character in this DLC, instead of Vincent or Cid? Nomura: The overarching story follows the original, so considering where this lies in the storyline, Vincent is still in his slumber and Cid is on Shinra’s side, so Yuffie was the only one who would be able to move freely. For the glory of Wutai – Yuffie is a force to be reckoned with. Please look forward to learning more about Yuffie and enjoying the expanded gameplay experience that can’t be missed when Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade launches next month, on June 10, 2021. For users who download the free Final Fantasy VII Remake PlayStation 5 enhancement update, the new episode featuring Yuffie, titled FF7R Episode Intermission, will be available as a separate purchase at PlayStation Store for $19.99 USD starting June 10, 2021. *If you already own Final Fantasy VII Remake for the PS4 (physical or digital version) and own a PS5, you can download the Final Fantasy VII Remake free PS5 enhancement update. Please note the PS4 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake available to PlayStation Plus members is not eligible for the PS5 digital version upgrade. This update does not include the new episode featuring Yuffie. The new episode featuring Yuffie can be purchased separately. An internet connection is required to obtain the free PS5 enhancement update. However, if you have purchased Final Fantasy VII Remake (physical edition) for PS4 and own the PS5 digital edition (the model without a disc drive), then you are not eligible to download the upgrade. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/PSBlog/~4/1lVCfXvKCkEView the full article

Hello Miners! We at Code Horizon and Discovery are proud to announce that Gold Rush: The Game will be available on PlayStation 4 May 28. This original gold-mining experience is based on Discovery Channel’s #1 show Gold Rush. On launch day, you will get access to all the playable content released so far (including DLC). The objective is: work hard, dig deep, explore the world, to become the wealthiest person in Alaska. Gold Rush: The Game is a realistic gold-mining simulation game. Start with a simple bucket, hog pan, and lease your first claim as you begin to mine gold. You will be able to sit behind the wheels of multiple, highly detailed vehicles (such as bulldozer, drill, front-end loader or excavator) and dig gold on one of four unique mining areas with fully deformable terrain. Your plan is simple: scout and plan your operation, buy new tiers of mining equipment, and let your gold business grow. But remember – every real business will face some obstacles. Machines will break, weather will affect your operation and interest on leased property will grow. To make ends meet, you’ll have to embrace the four-season cycle and think about making some extra money. Harsh Alaskan winters impact prices and even decrease durability of your machines. Oh, and don’t be surprised if a bear steals some of your equipment. Gold Rush: The Game is about digging gold by using advanced machinery and taking care of your mining company. Get familiar with the wash plant, gold nuggetator, or wave table. Manage the water pressure and power system to help machines work properly. And don’t forget to hire some workers and let them grow your business! If you are a competitive player, we have a little something for you. Ranked mode (leaderboards) will pit you against other gold prospectors – who will come on top this time? One season typically lasts about a month in real life, so there’s plenty of time to compete. Each time we add a unique buff or obstacle to make the experience more engaging, such as a discount on a particular claim rental or increased breakdown rate for specific items. If you manage to get into the top 10, we have special in-game rewards. So what are you waiting for? Let’s mine some gold. You can choose your own playstyle – either explore Alaska with easy mode on (everything costs $1) or try your luck in the hardest ranked mode, with globally shared leaderboards. Regardless of your calling, be sure to grab the game on May 28. For price, availability, and additional details check your regional PS Store. Work hard, dig deep – become a gold miner! http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/PSBlog/~4/VFDmEW9Q4VwView the full article

Welcome to the party, pals! The iconic Nakatomi Plaza from Die Hard is live now in Call of Duty: Warzone’s Verdansk ‘84 map. Warzone’s new tallest structure arrives as part of the ‘80s Action Heroes event, which also introduces new Operators Rambo and John McClane (available for purchase as limited-time Store Bundles). It’s not everyday you get to step into the same hallowed ground where action movie icon John McClane foiled nefarious thief Hans Gruber’s heist plans. To mark the exciting occasion, I chatted with Amos Hodge from Raven Software, the lead developer of Warzone, and Matt Krystek from High Moon Studios, whose team led bringing Nakatomi Plaza from Los Angeles to the middle of Verdansk’s bustling downtown district. The player’s view when diving into Verdansk around the new Nakatomi Plaza location PlayStation Blog: At what point in the film is this map set roughly or did you take liberties for whatever complemented the map at the given location? Matt Krystek: It’s kind of both – I would say it’s probably closest to the middle of the movie. The thieves have controlled the building, it’s not destroyed yet, and they’re still trying to crack open the vault. Is Die Hard truly a “Christmas movie?” The festive tree in the Nakatomi lobby thinks so… What was the feeling at both High Moon Studios and Raven Software when you first found out that you were going to be bringing Nakatomi Plaza to life in Warzone? Amos Hodge: Pure excitement across all the studios. Bringing Die Hard elements into Warzone was a perfect fit and everyone got really into it immediately, everyone was brainstorming ideas. It was just pure excitement. MK: I remember the first time we saw the shell of the building in-game. Everybody just smiled because it was just so cool and it’s just this massive kind of iconic structure that we’re able to work on. The dev team removed four city blocks to make room for Nakatomi Where does Nakatomi Plaza begin on the map as a new location? MK: We did have to work within the road structure and stuff that was there. We added the new entrance to the parking garage so we had to craft that. We also wanted to give players a ton of ways to access this building, so we ended up adding another stairwell that actually goes down into the garage from outside of the building. Then, we made sure there was enough cover to support everybody doing the hot drop right at the beginning. AH: The downtown buildings kind of have a reputation for being a hold-out location where one or two teams would hold them out, but in this case, we wanted to make sure that this could support lots of teams, lots of points of entry and that multiple floors were playable. It’s really a space that could support lots of combat and lots of players. Engage your inner thief, breach Nakatomi’s vault, and make off with valuable loot. What are some of your pro tips for new players who want to drop into Nakatomi Plaza? MK: You obviously have to learn the routes. Avoid dropping onto the roof right at the spawn or just be prepared for some really hot action. It is faster just to jump down the elevator shaft and pull your chute than it is to use the ascender. You’re going to need to mix up your loadout as there are definitely a lot of long and close-range fights. You can use some area of denial around the doors and the stairwells to lock those spaces down. Given the amount of verticality here, I think you know UAV’s and heartbeat sensors might not be as reliable, so maybe consider some different options. AH: For me, there’s some unique gameplay here where you can unlock special loot if you find access to the vault. You can find some game-changing items for yourself. It’s always cool to get in here and race for those items and unlock that stuff. The aftermath of John McClane’s unforgettable barefooted trek through broken glass. Ouch. Verify your age to view this content. Verify your age to view this content. What are your personal favorite movie moments from Die Hard? MK: There are two that stand out for me. I love the shoot the glass scene when they throw that hockey puck explosive in. The second one is when McClane and Hans have that face-to-face and then he does that little accent. AH: I like the banter and interaction between John McClane and the police officer outside, it’s really cool. I grew up watching other shows with him in it, so to me, the scene with the police officer talking to John McClane was a really cool moment. I like the banter back and forth. The giant teddy bear is safe and secure in what reminds me of limo driver Argyle’s vehicle. What element of the Nakatomi Plaza implementation would you say the dev teams are most proud of? AH: That’s tough. I think it’s easier for me to pick out my personal favorites. My personal favorite is definitely the bloody footprints leading out of the bathroom. That’s an attention of detail that is really cool. Players can play as the John McClane Operator and walk over the bloody footprints barefoot as John McClane. There’s some very surreal moments that fans are going to love. How do you anticipate Nakatomi Plaza will change the flow of a match and the meta of Warzone? MK: I think it’s totally going to mix up the downtown meta. The nice thing is that it’s a limited time event so it is going to maybe get people to play a little differently or mix their loadouts and maybe take some different options. However, it is limited so I think it’s good to mix things up. Like McClane himself, expect to spend time exploring the labyrinthine guts of Nakatomi. Without giving any spoilers away, how can players expect the map to continue to evolve into the future? AH: We’re definitely going to lean into the ‘80s and we’re definitely going to continue making updates. This is one of the first big splashes we’re making, but you can expect continual updates to the map, new content and ways to play throughout the seasons. Anything else that you both would like to say to the fans? MK: I’m just excited to see everyone’s reactions. The first time they figure out how to get into the vault. There’s just so much here that we’re excited to get into the hands of players. AH: We’re just excited for players to jump into all the Action Heroes content. It’s a fun experience for the entire community. We just can’t wait. The iconic, zigzagging conference table even makes an appearance. Verify your age to view this content. Verify your age to view this content. Thanks to Raven and High Moon Studios, you can now explore Nakatomi Plaza in Warzone for a limited time. With the upcoming release of Season 1 for Knockout City on May 25, now is the perfect time for a deep-dive into a new map coming your way: Jukebox Junction. I’m Jeremy Russo, the game director for Knockout City, here to talk to you about the design of Jukebox Junction and some strategies for using the map to your advantage in dominating your opponents. All aboard The theme for Season 1 is “Welcome to Knockout City,” and what better way to greet new arrivals than a dodgeball to the face as they step off the train? Jukebox Junction is an active, jukebox-themed train station that perfectly showcases our level design philosophy at Velan Studios. Each map is designed to be unique and memorable, by combining a distinctive theme with a fresh gameplay mechanic that opens up new gameplay strategies. Perfectly crafted audio and visuals immediately immerse you in the train station environment, mixed with jukebox-themed details like massive glowing archways and an arrival/departure schedule made to look like song cards. But the feature to really watch out for (literally) are the trains that come charging through the station! Periodically, massive hover-trains come speeding through the center of Jukebox Junction, temporarily changing the offensive and defensive options available to you in those sections of the map. Getting hit by a train is an instant KO, but because they hover you can ball up and roll under them to make a quick escape or sneak up on opponents. Watch out, though, because there are also bounce pads around that enable players to jump up and glide over the train, or they can even perform a Lob Shot with a ball from the other side if they have a lock on you. One of the most satisfying moves in the game, however, is to tackle an opponent into the train, earning your team an easy (and hilarious) point. And if you find yourself back up against a train about to be tackled yourself? Jump at the last second to trick your opponent into diving headfirst into the train themselves. Each unique map mechanic is meant to provide these types of strategic options. To avoid the possibility of random outcomes, these trains telegraph way ahead of time before they come barreling through with distinctive audio, visual, and rumble cues. Each train line (Red, Yellow, Blue) is also on a set schedule that means they’ll always pass through the station at consistent, reliable times. See the sights The layout of Jukebox Junction also demonstrates our approach to designing unique combat spaces with distinct landmarking. Each main location in the map contains a ball, and all spots feature unique geometry to fight around. Due to the high/wide trajectories that thrown balls can travel along due to our variety of Trick Shots and Ultimate Throws, each combat area features broad shapes in layouts we never repeat, to open up unique 1-on-1 and team-based strategies. It’s also critical that each of these landmarks feature their own distinct “callout,” meaning it is uniquely and obviously themed, allowing players to communicate and call out strategies to their team. For example, in Jukebox Junction, you might call out that an opponent is on the roof of the Coffee Bean’d shop, or that you are going to break off and flank the opposing team through the Basement. Now arriving Jukebox Junction arrives on the scene with the start of Season 1, permanently integrated into every playlist in the game. This is only the start, however, as several major new features and tons of other content also come along for the ride. Season 1 of League Play also begins on May 25, a competitive ranking system where brawlers will rise (and fall) through the ranks as they win and lose against opposing crews of the same rank. The higher in rank you rise, the better the rewards will be at the end of the Season. Weekly Crew Contracts also begin, and continue throughout all 9 weeks of the Season, offering Crews a sort of “social battle pass” for free with exclusive Crew-based rewards and major XP boosts for working together to complete tough challenges. Season 1 Contracts also become available to all players to complete on their own, along with new cosmetic items every day in the Brawl Shop and a new playlist almost every single week, giving you and your friends a massive variety of experiences throughout the Season. Whether you bought your ticket or hopped the holo-turnstile, Season 1 is the perfect opportunity to see how much each season of Knockout City adds to the game. Knockout City arrives May 21 on PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 through backwards compatibility, so Crew Up, hop aboard, and get to dodgebrawling! http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/PSBlog/~4/yA5ImHF5j4MView the full article

Hey everyone! We’re very excited to be bringing Foreclosed, a slick, cyberpunk action-adventure to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on August 12. This is our first next-gen console release and we’re especially thrilled to take advantage of the features the PS5’s DualSense wireless controller. Play Video To set the stage, Foreclosed is set in a dystopian cyberpunk future where your very identity is a commodity. The game stars Evan Kapnos, an everyman whose day goes from bad to worse – fast. Kapnos’ story is delivered in a stylish comic book aesthetic to pull you into the narrative. Haptics & Adaptive Triggers The ability to leverage next-gen tech to elevate the experience was really cool, as it’s very much in theme with the futuristic cyberpunk setting of the game. For example, the Symbiotic Pistol is a multifunctional weapon with various upgrades available. To really give you a sense of the unique properties of the weapon, the haptics and adaptive triggers on the DualSense controller deliver different feedback and resistances depending on the modifications you have equipped. Wielding the Symbiotic Pistol, you’ll feel the difference from one weapon skill to the next through the controller. You’ll experience the simulated kickback of an explosive round, the air displacement of rounds leaving the pistol, and more to pull you into the experience. Verify your age to view this content. Verify your age to view this content. Speaker Evan will receive calls from his one ally in his battle to liberate his Identity from foreclosure. We deliver these private communications through the DualSense controllers’ speaker to give these dialogues an ‘in world’ feel. DualSense controller lights A key system at play in Foreclosed is Evan’s experimental implants. They enable him to unleash a range of special abilities, and link directly to his weapon enabling several different weapon power ups. The risk-reward mechanic here is that the more you use Evan’s various abilities, the more his implants begin to overheat. If you allow this to happen, Evan is completely vulnerable for a brief period whilst the implants cool down. To help visualize this, the light on the DualSense controller will change to match the heat level of Evan’s implants, giving you a constant visual to keep you in the moment during a fight. Will you play it safe, or push your limits? Verify your age to view this content. Verify your age to view this content. It’s been so much fun to work with the DualSense controller, whether it’s creating the futuristic flexibility of the Symbiotic Pistol, or the added audio and visual implementations. We’re so excited to put the world of Foreclosed right into your hands and invite you deeper into our story. Stay tuned for more on Foreclosed and we’re excited to share this world with you when the game hits PS4 and PS5 on August 12. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/PSBlog/~4/TM7kWNhdfUoView the full article

In August of 2019, after psyching myself up by watching clips from Office Space, I quit my web development job of ten years to focus full time on game development at Reclamation Games, the small studio I started with my wife, Vanessa. She is a talented musician and composer, and I had experience on small hobbyist gaming projects, a background in computer science, and had spent the last two years learning about Unity, game programming, 3D modelling, and animation. It was not veteran industry expertise – we tracked down people to help with that later – but it was a start. I had a prototype of a 2D action-exploration game where the story was interwoven with the non-linear exploration and progression, but we had reached a point in development where finishing it would require a massive increase in time commitment. I had to either walk away from it or go all in by quitting my day job and focusing entirely on creating the game I had always wanted to play. So I did. Almost two years later, I am excited to reveal Reina & Jericho is coming to PlayStation 5. Let me tell you more about it. Play Video Meet Reina Reina, the main protagonist, is a resourceful and scrappy young woman with a chip on her shoulder earned from a life of hardship. She lacks all but the most basic knowledge of what is happening and what she has gotten herself into, and she is completely unequipped to overcome the obstacles in her path – two problems she will have to solve on the go. For Reina’s design we had the good fortune of working with Leandro Franci, a fantastic illustrator with a knack for the stylized aesthetic we wanted to achieve, and Dan Eder, a master of stylized 3D modelling who was able to bring Leandro’s sketches to life. Reina’s scars tell of her difficult life and her simple clothes speak to her working-class status. Around her neck rests a powerful artifact called the Regret Device which allows her to revisit the recent past armed with knowledge and items she has gained along the way – an imperfect form of time travel that makes events play out slightly differently each time she uses it. Non-Linear Time A key hallmark of the 2D action-exploration genre is backtracking: the player will see a locked door or other obstacle blocking off exploration to some area, and later they will find the key to surmounting it and come back later to explore. In Reina & Jericho we wanted to push this idea further in two ways: The player can backtrack through time and causality, rather than just geographically. We integrate the story into this exploration and revisitation as much as possible. The Regret Device allows Reina to quick travel to previous game locations, but also undoes all the events that have taken place after that moment. Sometimes the implications of this are minor: a shorter path to power ups that were once out of reach. Other times they are crucial – people who were killed after the moment Reina has returned will be alive again, although perhaps missing a few items she has taken from them. Integrated Story I have long felt the exploratory nature of the 2D action-exploration genre had the potential for cool storytelling that could only be done through the medium of video games but was often relegated to a secondary role. I would often think about the similarities between backtracking in a Metroidvania and the way the mind constantly travels back to moments of regret and previous decisions that could have been made differently. With Reina & Jericho we have woven a powerful story about love, suffering, regret, and consequence that will follow Reina as she is gradually pulled deeper into the machinations of the villain, Eli Faust. Reina’s attempt to rescue Jericho becomes more and more entangled with the broader events of the story – past, present, and future. Emotive Music Vanessa naturally gravitates towards an emotional, heavy style of music. Our process for making the soundtrack was relatively straight forward: Vanessa would sit down at a piano and play improvisationally for somewhere between two minutes and two hours, and I would record everything so I could sift through it later and give her a shortlist of material to formally compose from. Sometimes we would listen to music beforehand to get in a mood – usually something from Nobuo Uematsu, Arcade Fire, Bear McCreary, or Yoko Shimomura – other times it would be conversations about what was happening in the story, but it always started with those sessions of exploring music on the piano. Gameplay Reina has a simple core set of moves that offers a solid foundation for newcomers to the genre while still leaving room for expressive and highly skilled play thanks to all the ways Reina’s different actions can be strung together and interconnected. The critical path through the game contains a good mix of exploration, combat, and platforming, but side paths that grant minor power ups are where we put the more explicit challenges. Stay tuned for the release announcement for Reina & Jericho. We are excited to share the game with all of you soon and think it will leave a lasting impression! http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/PSBlog/~4/U6dy0zgW-1gView the full article

Hi everyone, Super Bomberman R Online and its unique Battle 64 mode launches on PS4 and PS5 as a free to play game on May 27! We’re thrilled for players of all ages to be able to jump into Bomberman for fun battles online with friends and family. Before you blast off, we wanted to pass on a few tips and tricks straight from the game’s development team. Bomberman battles are quick and easy to pick up and play, but the game has hidden tricks and some surprising character and power-up abilities. To get a head start and increase your odds of becoming Bomber One, check out the following tips: 1. Safety first A bomb exploding will trigger other close-by bombs to go off immediately and can cause chain reactions. If you try to place bombs in a row you could end up getting blasted by your own bombs, so focus on controlling and predicting the areas of explosion at first. 2. Clever bomb placement Some soft blocks have power-ups hidden inside them, so use your bombs to release them. Be careful though, you can trap yourself between a block and your own bomb. You can destroy up to three brown soft blocks with one bomb though, so keep that in mind and place your bombs in the best spots possible instead of placing too many. 3. Keep calm and blast on The game may feel fast-paced at the beginning, but stay calm. You can avoid other players and their bombs early on and focus on finding power-ups and getting used to the flow of the action. Do you need a break from the heat? Look out for Green Louie eggs to pick up: they hatch a trusty and speedy ally for you to ride on, assisting and protecting your Bomber. 4. Piercing action The special Pierce Bombs have a large radius. It’s great for finding other power-ups or surprising enemies who think they’re safe. If you’re in a rush, Aqua is a great character to learn with because she starts with Pierce Bomb equipped. That can be a big advantage while you are learning to play and trying to grab a lot of power-ups. Aqua will make you a force to be reckoned with: because Pierce Bombs are very powerful, they’re extremely dangerous in the final stage once the area begins to shrink. 5. Too many is not enough You do have an upper limit on how many power-ups you can hold, and that will vary per Bomber. So pick your Bomber carefully after checking if their abilities match with your play style, but don’t stop grabbing power-ups. If you grab a power-up and your Bomber isn’t able to use it, it gets destroyed so your enemies can’t use it against you. 6. Strategic power-ups Prioritize grabbing the Bomb Kick and Bomb Punch power-ups as soon as you can. They are more versatile than other power-ups and can be used for attack or defense. The Bomb Kick will shove bombs away from you until they hit another object. The Bomb Punch will launch bombs over obstacles three squares away and can even be used at the map edge to wrap a bomb around to the other side. Practice makes perfect to make good use of the lesser-known tricks you can pull off with those abilities. Now that you’re ready, let’s see how you can hold your own in a quick Battle 64. Super Bomberman R Online will be available from May 27 on PlayStation 4 and playable on PlayStation 5 via backwards compatibility. Get it for free from PlayStation Store. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/PSBlog/~4/jKBUUeTZMxoView the full article

Deathloop’s got a great elevator pitch. It’s a murder mystery with a time travel twist. You’re trapped on an island locked in an infinite time loop, with you and its denizens forced to repeat the same day over and over. The only way out is to track down eight targets, found somewhere in the four districts that divide the island. Assassinating all before one loop ends breaks it for good. But while you see the loop as a curse to be lifted, your intended kills see it as an endless, consequence-free party. As such they, and nearly everyone else on the island, will attempt to kill you on sight. And that includes your worst enemy and equal, who can be controlled by another player online. They have a single goal: protect the loop by ending you before you end it. Die, and your day starts again. The original concept, created while Arkane was working with MachineGames on 2019’s Wolfenstein: Youngblood, would offer a diverse tool set, player freedom to experiment, and an architecturally coherent, intricate world to explore. A continued adherence to the defining principles of the studio’s previous works. The focus however, would be on replayability. The studio soon found itself eager to include “a big story”, character development, a rich world, an adventure arc – all also defining characteristics of its past games. “How could we build familiarity in a very focused, intimate space?” asks creative director Dinga Bakaba rhetorically. The solution: break time. The 60’s-style setting and “the impossible task” – eight assassinations in a single day – crystalised soon after. Time to kill Colt starts the day equipped with little more than “a cool jacket, a horrible hangover and a rusty SMG.” The rules of the loop and your place in it are quickly and violently explained. A better arsenal, including traditional weaponry (that’s customisable) and unique powers, need to be recovered as you explore the island from those you’ve bested in firefights or caught unawares. Discovery of two loopholes make your death less severe. One will allow you to carry over certain things between loops. The second is Deathloop’s own spin on respawns. Reprises give you three chances per loop to continue, and by finding your previous downed self you recover all items collected up to their (your?) untimely death. “He is, I think, perpetually funny, surprising, charming,” says Bakaba of Deathloop’s protagonist Colt. “I think this is a guy who copes with those tragic events with self-deprecation and ‘dad’ jokes. He has flair, is very confident. He can just throw out these jokes, approach the situation with a lot of confidence.” Colt’s nimble. Necessary when the world’s out to kill you and you’ve spaces to explore. Blackreef’s world design clearly shows Arkane’s continued love of verticality and, by association, powers that tap into superhuman exploration (“It’s really important to us,” says Art Director Sebastien Mitton. “Without powers, I always feel like I’m stuck on the ground. I’m frustrated”). As a result, each district is a dense sprawl. “Imagine a level like Dishonored 2‘s Edge of the World, and made even bigger, that’d give you an idea,” explains Bakaba of the expected scale for each. It’s also worth noting that while the game day doesn’t play out in real time, there are four distinct time periods across the 24-hour day. There are different stories and activities playing out in each district for every time period, while what areas you can access and your routes through them can alter. The location of your targets, the Visionaries, also vary depending on the time of day you visit. While a quick menu selection can freely switch you between times, actions in one time period can have repercussions in another. The studio is cagey about story details, but offers one eventuality to illustrate: a character saved earlier in the day will unlock a door somewhere else later, giving you access to a new part of the island. From soldier to assassin In Deathloop, frontal assaults are possible yet not advised. Mapping out areas and enemy positions first allows you to plan out attacks or routes that increase your survival chances. Simultaneously you could (and should) eavesdrop on important conversations and discover hidden spots that’ll help your objectives. As example: if everyone is wearing a mask, how do you pinpoint your target? Or another: can you take out a target without alerting anyone? Verify your age to view this content. Verify your age to view this content. Aggressive measures do come into play as well. Alongside a tool to hack tech like turrets, collectable Trinkets grant weapon upgrades and customisations. Slabs are items of power, each of which grant a unique ability. Not all are traversal-based: Kinesis is the obvious early headliner, letting you toss enemies into the air or against walls (or each other) with a wave of your hand. Find which works best for your playstyle: your loadout is limited to three weapons and two powers, the latter of which can have two upgrades. (Upgradable by assassinating the same target on a subsequent loop). Deathloop was an early example of what was possible with the DualSense wireless controller. Bakaba explains every weapon will have a slightly different feel. “You mentioned the trigger locking to represent your gun jamming. But when you’re out of ammo, the trigger effect will disappear. Even before your brain registers it, the animation, the click-click sound, you’ll know you’re out.” It’s all about having fun with the toolbox, combining and seeing what results. “By the end of the game you’re kind of a demigod,” says Bakaba. And player choice is key. If you really want to, you can try and complete the game with “just that rusty SMG and whatever you find on your way and accept you will lose everything at the end of each loop. It’s entirely up to you as a player.” But not all things are in your control. Enter Julianna. Meet your worst enemy Julianna began life as one of your targets. Even early in development, she was distinct. While her fellows would be self-involved and let others do their dirty work, Julianna was driven, actively trying to take you out first. It turned one of Blackreef’s elite – its Visionaries – into your equal and would challenge you to outfox her. That drive is still core to her character. But she only became fully realised, and ultimately co-lead on the game’s cover art, when someone within the studio suggested she could be a playable character. “I wouldn’t say a eureka moment,” responds Bakaba when I ask him and Mitton if that idea changed the trajectory of what the game could be. “It was a crossroad. It’s not just adding an enemy type […] it was definitely a turning point.” One initial concern was the technical impact of a second, player-controlled character in the world. Multiplayer could mean compromising on Arkane’s vision of Blackreef’s NPC density or the scale of the island’s level design. Fears were put to rest once the studio learned about the speed of PS5’s CPU. “It gave us oxygen,” says Mitton simply. Even without player control, Julianna is a constant presence. She continually harasses Colt, either from afar, haranguing him through the world’s multitude of tannoys and speaker systems, or up close even as she attempts to kill him. To be fair, Colt quickly starts giving back as good as he gets, energetic verbal clashes that, as Bakaaba puts it, are a “contest of punchlines” and ones he’s eager to see players react to. Those barbs are surprisingly good-natured in their delivery. Attempted murderer she may be, there’s no vindictiveness or vengefulness to Julianna. She’s playful. For someone trying to kill me, she’s incredibly likeable. “It’s a harsh island,” Bakaba responds when I ask him about the contradiction of someone I want to know better yet maintain a safe distance from. “People came here for an eternal party. They brought a cocoon of fun, comfort and technology to turn all this dreariness into an entertainment resort. If Julianna is going to be someone who wants to protect the loop, she has to buy into that philosophy. That this is harmless, this is fine. This is even fun. She’s a very complex, interesting character.” The best assassins know the importance of keeping a low profile. A unique klaxon will sound in your game to signal a player-controlled Julianna has appeared. The creative director runs down a list of possible scenarios that could result: a Julianna who will mess with a player’s head but never be seen, another who’ll spook you with jumpscares by appearing and disappearing at random. Even a ‘friendly’ one who’ll drop off weaponry for you to use. Who Julianna is will be up to you. “She’s eternal. She doesn’t care about dying. She cares about the hunt and how she can make it interesting over an eternity.” Pulling off the perfect takedown is one thing. The unpredictability of psychological warfare while trying to complete eight assassinations though? I’m already intrigued to see what’ll result when Deathloop launches later this year. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/PSBlog/~4/rBIO1ju4otgView the full article

Hey there, creatures of destruction! I’m delighted to point out that in less than a month, you’ll be able to play Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart on the PlayStation 5 console. To celebrate the occasion, the highly mischievous member of the Zurkons has appointed himself as the MC of our new episodic info bash showing you what’s in store when the game launches on June 11. In other words, you’re invited to Zurkon Jr.’s Almost Launch Party! Play Video True to the Zurkon name, Jr. is leading off our celebratory blowout with a literal bang by discussing his favorite topic: weapons and traversal! As you’ve come to expect from the franchise, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart features our signature roster of powerful weapons, including classics like the cutting-edge Buzz Blades, to new destructive tools such as the Blackhole Storm and Negatron Collider. We’re also amping up immersion by using the unique features of the DualSense wireless controller: pull the adaptive triggers all or halfway for specific weapons to unleash alternating shots of devastation, feel the force behind every blast through the controller’s haptic feedback, and hear the clicks and ticks of your weapons via the built-in speakers. Rivet shows off the Phantom Dash in all its stylish glory In addition to Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’s staggering arsenal of weapons, we’ve also given Ratchet — and by extension Rivet, some new moves to use in and out of combat. Use the Rift Tether to transport yourself across battlefields, or activate the Phantom Dash to safely dodge and phase through incoming enemy attacks. But rather than me telling you what’s to come, I’ll let Jr. show you in our weapons-focused episode of Zurkon Jr.’s Almost Launch Party. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/PSBlog/~4/lYTU0VMc2OUView the full article

Have no fear, Bend Studio has you covered with some developer insights to help you get started. Drifter Bike You must maintain your bike by scavenging for scrap, searching for fuel, and upgrading it at encampments. Early on, you want to invest in your bike as much as possible. Whether you need to flee from an unexpected horde, chase down a bounty or escape an ambush, your bike is crucial for survival. To help limit maintenance with your bike, focus on upgrading your fuel tank to ride longer distances before having to stop. If you run out of fuel, you will need to walk your bike and explore the Freaker infested land by foot. Take good care of it, and it will take care of you. Tip: Look out for tow trucks and believe it or not gas stations for fuel. Hordes Hordes are a formidable foe in Days Gone. They can range from 25 Freakers to 500 Freakers. To take down a horde, you need to strategize, come prepared with ammo, traps and plan an escape route. It will not be easy, but to increase your chances at succeeding follow these couple of tips to begin your path at creating a safer world. Tip 1: Force the Freakers down narrow pathways to jumble them up creating a better line of fire. Use attractors to throw at nearby flammable crates and barrels to lure a group of them to that spot, then blow it up. Tip 2: Park your bike close in case you need to run back to it to fill up your ammo from your saddlebags (can be equipped as an upgrade). NERO Locations Keep your eye out during your travels for NERO locations. NERO checkpoints have valuable items for you to upgrade Deacon, gather crafting supplies, access your gun locker and fuel to top off your tank. You can find NERO injectors at these locations to upgrade your Stamina, Focus or Health. Each upgrade provides a significant boost and can be the difference between life and death. Tip: Upgrade your Stamina first… You can always run away if you are not prepared. Encampments Each encampment uses the trust and credits system, but what you get at each one differs. Complete jobs, clear infestation zones, hand in bounties and eliminate hordes to increase your trust levels with encampments and earn credits to buy weapons and bike upgrades. A couple camps you will run into early on are Copeland’s Camp and Hot Springs. Copeland’s Camp includes a Mechanic that will upgrade your bike to improve performance and give you customizations options that include decals, paints, bike skins and visual parts. Hot Springs specializes in selling weapons to help you fight the relentless danger outside of the gates. Infestation Zones Speaking of infestation zones, you want to burn out these nests as fast as possible. Make sure you have enough molotovs crafted or use the incendiary bolts with your crossbow to set the nests ablaze. Freakers use these nests to hibernate during the day, giving you a slight edge on their whereabouts. Be aware, if you are brave enough to tackle these zones at night, you will have more Freakers roaming around the wilderness. By successfully clearing out an infestation zone, you will be awarded with a new fast travel route to move around the map more efficiently. Tip: The day/night cycle and weather changes the behavior of the Freakers. Skills Days Gone provides three skill trees including melee combat, ranged combat and survival to invest your skill points in. Each player has their own unique playstyle, but we recommend unlocking these skills first to help you during the initial stages of the story. Ranged: Focused Shot. This skill gives you the ability to activate Focus while aiming a ranged weapon. Focus slows down time and helps to increase accuracy, which is beneficial when going up against a horde. You can upgrade this ability with the NERO injectors found across the map. Ranged: Fight And Flight. This skill helps you to move and aim a ranged weapon with more precision. Days Gone will keep you on your toes and the Freakers will not allow you to stay stationary. Get used to running! Melee: Field Repairs. This skill gives you the ability to repair melee weapons with scrap. You can scavenge for scrap underneath hoods of vehicles, abandoned buildings, and scattered around the world. Once you have crafted a weapon, you can repair that weapon to continue using it. Trust us, you will be using your melee weapon a lot. Without this skill, the durability of the weapon will diminish and break leaving you left with only your boot knife. Buy Days Gone on PC now from a range of digital retailers, including Steam and Epic Games Store. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/PSBlog/~4/XduILvTtV1sView the full article

The team that reaches the score limit or has the most points before the five-minute round is over, will be crowned the winners. The Control Point moves every 30 seconds, so you’ll always be on the move, which means you’ll need to watch out for plasma pits, proximity mines, and most importantly enemy laser fire. Your virtual arsenal Now, you and your teammates won’t be alone out there, you’ll also have access to the best weapons in the galaxy. Each round you’ll start off with your pistol, but you can find shotguns, rifles, rocket launchers, and grenade launchers scattered around the holofields. Each weapon has a set amount of ammo, so you won’t need to reload, but you may want to keep track of how many shots you have left. Take aim and fire We’ve always been looking for new and intriguing ways to integrate the PlayStation Aim controller, and Solaris is no different. We believe it’s the perfect bridge between the virtual and real world to give you an incredible sense of immersion and control. The sensation of weapons materializing in your hands and the recoil of each blast immerses you in battle like no other controller is able to. You can also use your DualShock 4, and we’ve worked hard to make sure that option is both comfortable and intuitive! Also, whether you’re left or right handed, you can rest assured that you’ll have a fair shot at the top spot. Making the Leaderboard Now, to truly become a legend in the world of Solaris, you’ll need to claim your rank in the global leaderboards.
