MAG Provides a Pay-Per-Character Slot Feature, Monthly Subscription

The gods have answered (or so it seems), because the one, one feature most MAG players have wanted since the game’s release in January was multiple character slots. Come August 31st, though, you can do just that at the cost of .99 cents per slot, and per month!

 

You can purchase up to two slots for a total of three all together, and with each slot purchase you make you can use that character for up to 30 days, at which point another payment will need to be made. If, however, you don’t want to renew your subscription just yet, the character stays in a ‘sleep’ mode until you wake it up with another payment.

 

I don’t know about this one, it seems Zipper dropped the ball with this feature. Will you take advantage of a new character slot?

There just kind of ignorant on this whole charging to play thing. They don't know what to charge for and what to give us for free. Lets see they had 3 DLC's they could have charged us for and didn't. And the clan deploy they need to charge for that. Not stupid stuff like player slots. We can just sign on with different accounts like every ones already doing.

that's probably why they delayed Socom. They got this great idea.

I wanna say that too. But I really do believe that this is the future of online gaming. Michael Pachter explains what publishers and Dev's are probably thinking in this episode of Pach-Attack. At around the 2:20 mark. And I can't disagree.

The question is, what if subscriptions fee's went across the board? For all online games. Then, will you give up online gaming?

 

Personally myself, no. I pay for Sirius radio. Do I need it? Absolutely not. It's purely a luxury. And so is online gaming. I'll pay up if I have no choice.

I couldn't. It's a luxury/vice that I must have in my life. Hell, I have a panic attack if my internet goes down. lol

I'm the same way Irish. I'd pay regardless as long as I have fun and can play with my clan and friends. I too have panic attacks when my net crashes LOL.
