First attempt at recording gameplay

Ok, I finally got it all set up and played with it a bit. Dont judge "what I do" cause I couldnt see all that great. I just wanted practice with the edit part of making videos. Still, something fun to watch..... I plan on making more later.

It comes with Studio 10 (which now has a Vista patch available).

 

I run the PS3 into this:

 

 

Then I split the signal.  One to the TV for playing and the other to the Pinnacle for capturing the video through the laptop.

I still prefer Dazzle 150 i believe, but i love the video.

 

The quality is really good for the size of the video. Keep em comin' dave.

I heard good reviews on that one Wiz. I use an Adaptec Gamebridge when I record. It was only like $15, but it is really easy to use and it gets the job done. Is there a way to record using hdmi? I feel like you lose so much quality having to use the RGB cords.

Yes, but its SO expensive. We have a guy in our clan that does that type of stuff for a living and he was able to get his hands on one for a bit and Im sure we'll have some decent videos in HDMI soon.

Thats Motorhead. I always thought it was a PERFECT song for a video game film. I think I wasted it on a rookie effort though.

Jesus nevermind lol. In theory couldn't I just purchase a blu-ray recorder and write the videos onto a blu-ray disc then upload them? I did some research and the Blu-Ray recorders run from $300-900.
