PS3 Friend Deletion-time ~ Is it just ME?:

I've noticed this for a long time but it never really hit me because I thought it would be recognized by all, and a patch would eventually fix it. But whenever I delete a person from my friends list (to make room for people who are more active than others), it takes at least 60 seconds or more! I've been on Black Ops many times and some new guy will tell me he cannot send me a friends request because my list is full. So I'll delete someone only to be 'kicked' from the game because the game starts with the XMB screen locked in delete mode. Is it just ME, or do all of you have the same problem?

I froze trying to delete someone on Socom.

 

I guess just don't get on the PS3 then.

Whew! I'm glad of that. Sucks, I think I'll just go and put my head in the sand (ostrich's solution ~ lol!) until it goes away ;-)

Yeah, the XMB is garbage. It is always hanging up or freezing. I suppose we get what we pay for.

I'm actually glad to see this thread also. I happens to me also.

 

And I assume everyone has to wait for their different XMB sections to load before you can click on anything. You have to wait for the little wheel to stop spinning. It's a pain in the ass.

 

The crappy thing is, it didn't always work this slow. And what happened to the revamped XMB they promised during the blackout? Along with cross-game chat?!!

It's annoying but really funny sometimes. As the 'little wheel keeps spinning round 'n round', I'll get like 20 messages of people asking me why I haven't yet accepted the Black Ops Invite! ~ Not to mention that while I'm fighting to get to the invite in order to accept it...the group have already launched into a game and I 'then' have to wait for them to finish and send me another invite! Really getting tired of the spinning wheel...
