Image help???

Guys,

I had someone design a team logo for a baseball team that I coach. He made the logo on a black background a couple of weeks ago. Now I just want the logo but not the background and I can't get a hold of the guy. He sent me the image but I don't know how to get rid of the black part of the image.

 

You guys have any suggestions?
