CDBS14 Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 anyone knows a good place to get a free website or a place to get a good website for a cheap price? thanks. Quote
Matty2D Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 Freewebs is a good one like he stated. It is very easy to build if you have no coding experience. If you are somewhat versed with code, you can build it yourself using HTML. You need a hosting service though. You can search for hosting services in google engine. There are free ones, but they usually have ads that can get in the way. You can also go to clantemplates.com, they have some solid website templates for free you could use as well. Hope this helps! CDBS14 Posted September 20, 2008 Author Report Posted September 20, 2008 can someone teach me HTML coding? lol Quote
Matty2D Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 I don't think anyone here will be able to teach you that over the forums. It takes a little time to comprehend, but once you do it's one of the easiest programming languages. Vist here http://www.w3schools.com/ They have a lot of info and help that can be useful to you. chris_pheonix7 Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 ye... one of my classes in the program im in is XHTML and its pretty easy but takes some time to learn Quote
CDBS14 Posted September 20, 2008 Author Report Posted September 20, 2008 thanks guys. If you wonder why i ask this stuff is because the older clan leader of cBs nikastylez decided to start his own clan, you might see apost of his in a some time. So now i am leader of cBs and i got no idea on how to webmaster, run a website or any of that stuff. Quote
Matty2D Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 Yeah, if you use a clan template from the link I posted yesterday, building will be a lot easier. They already do it for you. Basically all you have to do is upload the zip file. Once the site is uploaded, you can go into each page and edit it, basically adding the information needed. Things like the history of your clan, rules, etc. If you are trying to create tables for your rosters or past matches, you have to do that yourself. Good luck with the site. I am no expert in programming, but I can help out if you run into any issus. Quote

You're just going to confuse him.. lol Just stick with Freewebs normal sites first, then once you get the hang of it you can add a new template, etc.. Dont use Freewebs forums.. use Proboards or SMF. CDBS14 Posted September 20, 2008 Author Report Posted September 20, 2008 might sound dumb what is proboards or SMF. ??? Quote
BigMoneyNacku Posted September 21, 2008 Report Staff Posted September 21, 2008 Proboards is a very simple forum to use. Our first forum was a proboards one that worked out very nicely. Quote
