Due to its use of Nazi symbols such as the Swastika and the anthem of the Nazi Party, Horst-Wessel-Lied, as theme music, the PC version of the game was confiscated in Germany in 1994, following a verdict by the Amtsgericht München on January 25, 1994 (Az. 2 Gs 167/94). Despite the fact that Nazis are portrayed as the enemy in Wolfenstein, the use of those symbols is a federal offense in Germany unless certain circumstances apply.

This game started it for me on the shooters. I was also Marauder in that. Then came Doom and Quake. But we've come a very long way.

I hated it when we'd be playing a Mom or someone would pick up the phone. Connection Lost...

I liked W3... I thought it was cool with the different classes online (medics etc)... Consoles should have taken a better hint from it in online play... Socom got close with the multi player co-op in confrontation..
