Urgent Fury Dust Deployment 1 for Starhawk 5.14 - 5.21
shane replied to shane's topic in Announcements
Correct, I have updated the titles to make it a little more clear, be on the look out for BF3 tournament announcements soon -
Urgent Fury Dust Deployment 2 Type: Teams Ladder Description: Dust is a series of six tournament events designed to prepare your clan for our Signature TacMap Tournament that will be revealed later this summer. Urgent Fury Dust will focus on 8-vs-8 matches that introduce your clan to our level of competitive but friendly sportsmanship; in fact, our motto is “Win with Honor, Lose with Dignity”. Who wants to play with cyber bullies, cheaters, or trash talkers? Certainly not us! We monitor clans to make sure they’re playing with respect for all players (even the people on their own team) Each event, known as a deployment, will consist of eight matches carried over a two week period, and since we understand that some nights are better for some we have broken the war nights into two divisions to provide all clans with flexibility. Alpha Division will run Monday through Thursday at 9 pm central standard time and the Bravo Division will run Wednesday through Saturday at 9 pm central standard time. Below is the full schedule. Alpha Deployments – Monday – Thursday 9 pm central standard time May 14 – 17 and May 21 – 24 June 11 – 14 and June 18 – 21 July 9 – July 12 and July 16 – July 19 [*]Bravo Deployments – Wednesday – Saturday 9 pm central Standard Time May 30 – June 2 and June 6 – June 9 June 27 – June 30 and July 5 – July 8 (Matches adjusted for July 4th) July 25 – July 28 and August 1 – August 4 The winner of each deployment will gain one of 24 slots into the upcoming TacMap Tournament. Have any of you got a FoodSaver or other Vacum Sealer, and if so have you ever tried putting a dry rub all over the steak, sealing it then leaving it in the fridge a few days? I saw a similar technique the other week on Food Network and tried it, it was awesome!

The Campaign 2012 Forum now requires action to participate.

I want to remind you that there were plenty of political posts here before the change of ownership, we just opted to put it in a specific folder and after feedback put it in a section that requires people to opt in to view it. And as mentioned we will not be doing that for gaming related news, just short term forums like this one... after its all done the Campaign 2012 forum will be retired. I will however commend all that have participated for keeping it pretty much mature. -
We are hoping to make some announcements this week

There were no names, it was more about it not being gaming related as I mentioned -
The only change was a usergroup change from clan leader to registered user...

Sad to say there is no way to control what shows up in the latest activity that we have found. -
LPK was removed from the Clan Leader section due to an unrelated incident which we can discuss in private, as for the group, I am not sure what happened there that is maintained by the person that created the group and it seems that General is the one that created the group. As for General, can you get his IP and pm it to me so that we can see if it was flagged by the security system, that has happened to a couple of people in the last few months... it's automated.

I will admit that it is looking promising, but I still have my reservations that full testing must be done... but that vid def has some good info.

It really was more about the fact that the content of the posts were not gaming related, and it was not just on the forums, it came from facebook and twitter users as well. We have cut back to only the PS Blog and UF Blog when it comes to posting gaming news where we used to bring in specific gaming blogs as well. We will probably not cut down on the two gaming news outlets beyond this. That content that is 100% gaming related and will continue. The only other forums that could be affected would be the other sub cats under the General forums such as TV, Cooking, etc. The forums are only a portion of the website though for many that have been here, it is the main portion used, we anticipate this to become overshadowed in the future once we can finally get some quality games to run tournaments on such as Starhawk, Hopefully Ghost Recon, and other titles. -

Gaming news will continue as is. -
With the beefing up of the 2012 campaign and several discussions about the forum we created specifically for Politics to be discussed in a mature manner, we have decided to make the forum an opt in style forum. To participate in this forum you must join the Politics User Group by clicking here and join the Political Forum User Group. If you do not opt into this forum you will only see the post and thread counts, and you can leave the forum at anytime as well. We feel this is the best way to give the option for the discussion but not overwhelm those that do not want to see or participate in the posts.

Imperial(#902) DISTRICT 's New Clan Introduction
shane replied to JericoeCasS's topic in Clan Introductions
Welcome to Urgent Fury, get your guys set up in the Battlefield 3 Section you will first need to Create your team and get all of your guys set up. The Squads section is active and we are currently discussing the issues with setting up large scale Battlefield 3 matches, feel free to provide some input there was well. -
Last week Johnson contacted me about an issue he was having with his VB, during the trouble shooting he had made me a site admin to look at the settings and see if I could fix the issue. After a bit if research and repairing of the database, the issue resolved. Now after this is where it crossed the line unintionally, I had not been on the LPK forums in quite a while and as I do on many of the Clans Forums I will do a quick search for "Urgent Fury" or "UrgentFury" to see if there is anything that we need to know about or address in the community. In doing so I found a thread and clicked on it not realizing it was in a private area. Once I saw it was in a private area I returned to the search results. I assume that Johnson had not removed my admin rights by then. I do apologize for this action and I will no longer search a site until I know for sure that admin rights have been removed. I brought this to John's attention and discussed it durning the last week and we felt that I should apoligize publically after Johnson notified us of changing hosts. We assume this is the reason they are changing hosts and want to be transparent as possible on incidents such as this. We assume that LPK is moving hosts because of this, and we are going to refund their remaining hosting fees. And please if you contact anyone to fix your issues, please be upfront about sensitive areas. I was not even thinking when I searched and found the private areas since I visit many communities daily to see if there is any postings involved with UF that need addressing.

IT looks promising, but with the track record of games lately, we will keep our hands tied until after release and full testing.
