so, i did a search at a psp site. sounded like an antenna mod to the psp is the only way to enhance the reception of the psp. -toq- not the answer i would have preferred.
-
don't want to rain on your parade, and i'm no expert, but... when i opened my psp up and changed the memstick port, i had to move the wifi antenna, in my phat it was just a wire that ran the length of the psp. i don't think the psp usb connection is set up like a normal usb where a dongle(?) could be connected.. if you were to extend the antenna, that might help... but that would be a project... anyways, if you find out something post up, i would like my psps to have a better wi-fi range. -toq-

buy the cable and use a vcr. boom. done.
-
@playerdown sounds like you are doing it right.. don't use the headphone plug, use the other one, is it light green color? connect that to the dvi rca inputs for sound. that should do it... i really don't know otherwise... good luck.
-
totally. recording the playing and stuff.. if you have a psp 2001 then you have a video out, component or rca.. i don't know if the 3001s have it... the phats don't for sure. you just need the cable. with the video out you could plug right into a vcr, or a computer with a capture video card or whatever... otherwise, i don;t know how you'd record yourself playing your psp... even with a hacked one.. screenshots with CFW, sure.. but i dunno how to record... -toq-

building a computer has a lot to do with what you want it to do. if cost is a factor, then you need to limit where you direct your money. prioritize. if cost is not an option, get a quad core. i like my intel, i never have had an AMD and the reviews just didn't sound like i would get the same bang for buck. if you want, get a good video card. get at least 4 Gb ram. get a fast hard drive. compare access speeds. if you are building it yourself, get a good motherboard with lots of room to expand drives, ram, etc. get a good tower with enough room too. there's probably more, but that's the basics as i see it. -toq- just built a budget quad core, older intel that i could overclock, got a ASUS mobo with built in graphics and an HDMI out. got enough ram, recycled HDs, got a cheap tower. now my desktop goes to my 40" LCD so i can't watch TV and use the computer, but even with just the built in graphics, everything looks good enough for me. i was out the door for around 500. but i run Linux. 64 bit ubuntu. @the guy trying to use the DVI and audio out from PC to TV, are you using the regular headphone plug or the audio out on the laptop? does the TV only have the one audio in which is RCA? shouldn't the TV manual show where to connect sound for the DVI input? is the laptop sending the signal out to the TV to begin with? that should just be a sound setting. does video work on TV? sounds like it does.

can you clarify what you mean by 'psp video card'? -toq- if you want to watch movies/videos from your memory stick, you can use OFW, just make sure the vids are in a proper format. if you want to watch .iso files ripped from UMDs, you need a CFW.

thank god i haven't started ranking up yet. i'll do that to get the trophies. -toq- sigh. why can't they just apply the stats to the trophies... i wonder how soon 1.4 will be out, feb 1st? earlier?

listen to it and see.. but.. you'd do fine with something like 4-15s 2-10s or whatever mix you think best... personal opinion, tastes.. you know... i doubt you need to spend a fortune... alot depends on the exact vehicle you're putting a system in.. and what your plans/uses for that vehicle are.. also how/if you want to display the system... quality always is tasteful. while i'm not cool enough to have my rig dampened, i highly recommend it. makes a world of difference. good luck, -toq- oh yeah, i took your advice, btw...

oh, i agree with you in the real world, nutjob.. for normal people(like me) a 22 would never even be a thought.. not even an 18.. it was only after years of 12s that i even desired the 15... if i had a smaller vehicle, i'd go back to 12s... it just seems like RNG wants a 'not so normal' setup.. that's all.. besides at 400 pounds and 3' deep(?) that thing has to be impressive looking.. even if it isn't practical for normal music. i wonder what size box is needed for that thing? half a house? anyways, in reality i do agree with what you are saying.. if there was a budget factor i'd give up on anything bigger than a 15. but that's me.. -toq- with a 22, their clothes just might fall right off....

check out the 22s. they might be super bad ass.. since money's no option, and if you like the 22, get one, 2 15s and 2 12s. maybe 2 8s or 10s, but who cares.. you'll need seperate amps for each size, but moneys no option. and get comp level.. with as many watts you're gonna throw at these things you don't want to be blowing them.. my friend has 7k watts to 3 15s, high end JLs and he kept knocking magnets off them.. sure replaced for free, but then he had no bump for a few days. he had too much power, imo... he also had to get a real high end eq... make sure you have the square/cubic footage for all the proper sized and tuned(frequency) boxes for each sub size. ported!!! it'll be a crazy custom box with dividers, i'd imagine, or multiple boxes..go thick and fiberglass coat. 3/4" plywood(no osb/particle board), min. you'll need to get crazy with your door speakers in order to keep up. don't forget tweets. you'l need amps for both of those too. but ... moneys no option... also you'll upgrade your battery(batteries) and your alternator. but you know that, i'm sure.. don't forget, to use lots of sound dampener/ i forget the name/ foil backed thick adhesive rubber/dynomat, but the stuff on ebay is cheaper for the same material... but you can get the name printed on it for 3x the price. or so... moneys no... lots of work on the install, in order to install dampener and wiring, but... moneys no.. sorry i'm just jealous. i'm serious about the dynomat. you'll need it. shop around for a good install team.. everyone will jump to be able to set up your system. make sure they will fix all rattles that pop up from time to time. i also just hope you have the space for all that.. probably would take up the whole bed of the truck.. or you could back off and just go with 2-4 15s and 2 12s and 2 8s(could delete) that should fit nicely.. if you go with the 22, i'd also get 2-4 12s if space is a problem, cut out the 15s if you have to... -toq- i've got wood. post pics. i only say get the multiple sizes, since each size hits a different tone better.. if i could i would.. i only roll with 2 15s. way better than my old 12s and deeper tones.. i listen to alot of rap and jungle. and some of everything else... did i mention sound dampener? also get frequency filters for the different speakers. each size has a range they should get filtered down to. subs and doors. and no offense to NutJob, but you'll never get 12s to sound like 15s or 22s. physics is a mofo. its all about cone size pushing air. similiar, as loud as, sure, but the same? nope. maybe to the human ear, but still not the same. did i mention i'm jealous and have wood? plan out how much space you have/need before you commit. at least you won't have to go grocery shopping.. no room.

thanks guys, i thought i was on the right track.. first time building one up and want to make sure i'm making a little sense. i won't be getting a new graphics card(unless they don't work with the new mobo), sound card, or any of that stuff... no PC gaming for me.. i hardly have enough time for my ps3. also i just run a media server so the ps3 can output video on my tv... gonna use it for the monitor too. have to get wireless mouse and keyboard. i'll check out my power supply, hopefully its good enough... chili- are you happy with your build? running the 64bit OS? i had seen the ocz memory.. good price. thanks again. -toq- aiming for 400 but will go up to 500ish... i'm f-n cheap. like take 2ply toilet paper and make 2 rolls cheap.
