Yes I recall the knife extension perk thing, but it was never ridiculous like this. Like I said before I had my char maxed out and got into plenty of knife battles and this is something different then it used to be. I get the MAG/teamwork dynamic. I used to love this game, just got tired of the same maps over and over, then most of my clan stopped playing.

so I popped my MAG disk in and played a bit the last couple of nights. I used to enjoy this game a lot, not so much now. I got "call of duty" knifed (knifed by someone 10 feet away that couldn't hit me with a bat if they had one) many times, once even around a corner. At first I thought it was lag but guys in my squad told me that it's the normal "extended reach" knifing. I played this game a good deal before, my char was maxed out and I never experienced this. Everything else was mostly what I remember... but it was nice that the maps are opened up to the three factions now so you can attack and defend all the maps. Not sure if I will continue to play or not.

still have my copy, haven't played it in a while. how's the DLC/new game mode? I haven't bought that yet. Maybe I'll pop it in again. How much different are the weapons now? did they heavily nerf the lmg? can you respec more easily now?

you should be ok. I would reboot your PC and run malwarebytes again to make sure nothing bad gets reinstalled on boot. did you do the update inside malwarebytes by the way? if you didnt make sure you run the update in there before scanning this time.

you can save it, then go find it and run it. that will start the install of malwarebytes.

what do you have set as your home page? maybe something on that site is infected.

download this and run it on your PC: http://www.malwarebytes.org/ I dont recall if it updates on it's own, so be sure to run an update in the program before having it scan your computer. This should be able to clean most of the kits and nasties out there nowadays. I'm not sure what avast means by "blocking" a rootkit, it could be blocking attempts to contact a known payload url or it could be blocking a certain website/etc from attempting to install the rootkit when you visit it, etc. what are you doing/what programs are running when you see these messages?

is the "30 seconds between searches" really necessary? Is the server really under such a heavy load that this is required?

my friend just picked it up and said the multiplayer is a lot of fun. If I can find it cheap I might get it.

I plan on getting fifa11, I stink at this game (never really got into fifa) but 11 will have the Philadelphia Union (new MLS team) so I'm getting it for that. I might get madden11, demo is sweet. I think NHL is EA's best sports game but I haven't played a non-demo version in some time, but if I had unlimited funds for ps3 games I would buy that too.
