they also got rid of the stupid "extended reach 15 foot away knifing" in BO. I think BO is an improvement over MW2 multiplayer wise due to this and the killstreak fix. Plus the SP campaign is so much better too (and I haven't even finished it yet). For me, BO > MW2.

there are already reports out that the next version is in the future and in space... Newly-formed Activision studio Sledgehammer is working on a futuristic Call of Duty instalment set in SPACE, according to a fresh report. Gamasutra sources claim Sledgehammer, run by Visceral game exiles Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey, are working on a CoD instalment "set in the future" and featuring "space Marines". Of course, these aren't the first whispers we've heard of the FPS series heading to the stars. Earlier this year Activision registered domains for "Call of Duty: Future Warfare, Advanced Warfare, Secret Warfare and Space Warfare". http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=274739

my local best buy is having one... starting at store closing 9pm they are letting people in to play BO until 12, and they are raffling off 4 copies of BO during this time. I would go if I could... -
I never used twitter but I get it. You don't have to use it as a social networking tool... it can be very useful to everyone that reads news on the web. Think of it as a tool you can use to subscribe (follow) people/companies/etc and then get all your news in one place... and like Crusty said many times you will get to read things you wouldn't see otherwise.

I vote snoop for comedic value.

if they have that up now it's gotta start sooner than the new socom release. it's def confrontation:cold front I think, since that's a pic of blizzard on the fold over thing.

It's not "rank" that is important, moreso unlocking weapons that comes with ranking up. In MW2 my favorite rifle was the ACR but you didn't get to use it until you were lvl48...

they couldn't do a thing to him- he's done nothing wrong. if the stores broke some sort of agreement that is another story. people that get it early are at some advantage- even if online stats dont count until release they already put hours into single player that you will (have/want) to do also, so while you are spending X hours doing that they will be ranking up in multiplayer, so it doesn't matter in the long run really. These people just won't be ahead of you in the first hours of multiplayer but whenever you play single you lose ground against them.
-
yea I've considered getting a twitter account for that reason- a lot of people and companies send out information via twitter, and instead of hunting stuff down myself it would all come to me instead. I just haven't taken the plunge yet.

Medal of Honor DLC is Broken
GeneralSarcasm replied to shane's topic in Blog - Urgent Fury Unleashed
You must have been one of the players MP worked well for straight out... until the server side patch the other night MP was almost unplayable for a good group of ps3 people. The game would appear to be running ok but it was lagging... I would never see anyone skip or warp but it was obvious things were not in sync on everyone's screen. I would get shot by people 1.5 seconds after going around a corner or behind cover. Sometimes I would see someone's head peeking above a box and have them shoot me (I guess they stood up after I died on my screen). Other times I would come behind someone and start unloading on them just to have them turn around and kill me like it was nothing. The only time things ran OK was when I decided to snipe, because I was doing it at long distances. Any kind of interaction up close to people was so out of sync it drove me crazy. -
farmville has such a huge following because it has people of all ages and genders playing it. I started gaming the same as you puddy, my dad bought a pong console. later on we got an atari2600. I think we had this for a long time. I played games on a commodore 64 after that, and didn't have another console until the original nintendo. There were plenty of really bad games made for the atari (ET anyone?) and good ones too, so this is nothing new, although all the games did run well on their intended systems. Heck they had to get it right before shipping, there was no "online" and there was never an option to patch. Now that there is I'm sure the marketing / sales departments force devs to get things out the door even if they aren't finished because they know they can fix things at a later time if they even intend on it, and sometimes they have other reasons to get to market. The new Medal of Honor is a perfect example of this- they released a game that in my opinion was not ready, but the marketing people had to get that title out the door before Black Ops. If they released it after, I don't think they would have sold a third of what they did especially after the poor reviews. You would think competition would make for better games but for some reason that just doesn't seem to be the case in the gaming industry.
