Developing at <a href="https://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/gelid-games/">Gelid Games</a> is a personal process for people who genuinely love games. We set out to make <a href="https://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/wheels-of-destruction/">Wheels of Destruction</a> a hardcore old school arena shooter in the same vein Quake and Doom, something we were successful in. We knew we wanted to expand upon Wheels of Destruction and let it evolve with its players, and what better way to do that than release some awesome downloadable content, improve the game greatly, and ultimately create something substantial and worthy. Grab your Celestial Brush! I’m pleased to confirm that this fall, gamers will be able to return to the land of Nippon in Okami HD, exclusively on the PS3 with PlayStation Move support. At <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/e312/">E3 2012</a>, <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/capcom/">Capcom</a> offered a glimpse of the three different scenarios we’ll be playing in <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/resident-evil-6/">Resident Evil 6</a>. Players could enjoy a co-op between Leon Kennedy and newcomer Helena Harper in classic survival-horror style in a Tall Oaks full of zombies, face a boss battle with Jake Muller (son of longtime series baddie Albert Wesker) and Sherry Birkin (aka the little girl from RE2), or battle across the rooftops of China with Chris Redfield and his partner Tony Ponce. But the company also revealed a new feature behind closed doors: the Crossover system, an evolution of the dual-threaded Scenario mechanic from Resident Evil 2, this time not only intersecting the story of different characters but also bringing their gameplay together in four-player co-op situations. Brand new <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/marvel-pinball/">Marvel Pinball</a> tables will be available tomorrow via <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/category/psn/">PSN</a> on <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/category/ps3/">PS3</a>! <a href=" ">Marvel’s The Avengers</a>, based on Marvel Entertainment’s BILLION dollar movie, <a href=" ">World War Hulk</a>, <a href=" ">The Infinity Gauntlet</a>, and Fear Itself make up one of our most exciting videogame pinball releases ever. Each table is based on a huge event in the Marvel universe, and I cannot hide the fact that we are very proud of these tables! We have taken major steps forward with our pinball craft and of course, I could go on forever and ever about how great I think the new tables are, but I’ll let them do the talking! Check out the trailer for Fear Itself. So, what is new and different about this set of Marvel Pinball tables? Previous tables were developed around individual characters, pitting you against their enemies with table elements focused on capturing their personalities. With the Avengers Chronicles tables, we focused more on storytelling, basing each table on an event in the Marvel Universe. In order to accomplish this, we recorded more voiceover than in any previous set of tables, and most of the lines are straight out of the comics. For example, The Infinity Gauntlet table alone has 139 lines pulled directly from the comic series and outlines the events of the story arc. Welcome back from <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/e312/">E3</a>! I’m sure you all are pretty pumped for what’s to come this year in the video game world. A slew of new AAA titles, new features, and new announcements from our favorite games. Speaking of our favorite games, as the executive producer of <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/dc-universe-online/">DC Universe Online</a>, it is no surprise that what I’m most excited about coming out of E3 is DC Universe Online’s new DLC pack! That’s right, more new content for a game that is already free-to-play! And the best part is…you don’t have to wait much longer to jump into battle. Tomorrow, we launch DCUO’s highly anticipated fourth DLC pack: The Last Laugh. We are greatly anticipating the release of this new pack as it is the first time we have created a major update almost entirely focused on player-versus-player (PvP) combat. The Last Laugh will include hours of multiplayer gameplay in the Safe Houses and Headquarters, an all-new weapon, and new Light-Powered and Kryptonian Legends PvP characters. More...
