<a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/dust-514/">DUST 514</a> is an MMOFPS on the <a href="http://us.playstation.com/ps3/">PS3</a> with large-scale vehicle and infantry combat taking place in, and with a real-time connection to, the EVE Online universe on PC. Players are able to band up into corporations (e.g. guilds) and wage territorial conquest on thousands of planets. What follows is a thematic description of Mobile Command Centers, or MCC’s. At 200 meters in length, these vehicles represent the largest, most powerful weapon a team can acquire, and are flown by a team’s commander. Oftentimes, destruction of the MCC means victory on the battlefield (we’ll give you more insight into the game’s command hierarchy, a system that allows players to form squads that are led by a player commander, in an upcoming PlayStation.Blog post). Colossal. Imposing. Devastating. Any of these words could describe the MCC, but only one truly sums it up: Control. The MCC is the nerve center of any army, the backbone upon which wars are waged and battles won. It is from here, locked within the confines of a modified hydrostatic pod, that the commander orchestrates the fate of those on the ground below. As of November 18, 2011, the number of devices that can be activated on one PlayStation Network account for game content purchased from the <a href="http://us.playstation.com/psn/playstation-store/index.htm">PlayStation Store</a> will be updated as follows: <ul> For game content purchased <strong>after</strong> November 18, 2011, a new policy will apply and the number of devices that can be activated will be as follows: <li><a href="http://us.playstation.com/ps3/">PS3</a>: Users will be able to play the game on up to 2 activated PS3 systems.</li> <li><a href="http://us.playstation.com/psp/">PSP</a>: Users will be able to play the game on up to 2 activated PSP systems.</li> </ul> Please note that this update will not affect game content purchased before November 18. The PSP rights include PSP-1000/2000/3000 series as well as the PSPgo system. Where-is-my-Heart? is the debut game of <a href="http://gutefabrik.com/">Die Gute Fabrik</a>. The idea to make <em>Where-is-my-Heart?</em> finds its origins in a very personal experience I had with my mother and my father three summers ago. It was a sunny day on a weekend and we decided to go for a hike in the woods. The hike went well enough for a while, but after an hour or so we realized that somehow we’d completely lost our bearings. Stuck together and lost in this situation, we came to face each other’s negative personality traits. My father showed his anxiety and became increasingly bossy. While my mother responded to this as she had been doing for the 25 past years of her partnership - she turned to lamenting about her life and her existence.I, for my part, found myself trapped in well-worn patterns of regret, remorse, and disconnectedness. Here were three hurt children-at-heart, unable to understand each other and unable to break out of their predicament. In a press release, they were quoted as saying. “We are confident that going free-to-play will expand the action combat experience of*DC Universe Online*by making the game more accessible to every type of player so they can choose to play the game their way,†said John Smedley, President, Sony Online Entertainment. “With a portfolio that includes three successful free-to-play games –*EverQuest II: Extended, Free Realms*and*Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures*– we have extensive knowledge and experience to apply to DCUOand are thrilled to be taking the game free-to-play today.†There are three access levels in DCUO: Free, Premium and Legendary. Hello everyone, this is Marcus from <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/sidequest-studios/">SideQuest Studios</a>, the developer that brought you the PSN exclusive shoot'em up series <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/soldner-x-2/">Söldner-X</a>. Today I am telling you about what we've been working on with our publishing partner eastasiasoft during roughly the last year and a half. No, it's not another shooter, but it's once again a very classical genre that we are bringing back to life on the PlayStation 3 in 2012. Our latest creation is titled Rainbow Moon. It's a strategy role-playing game (or, for short, "SRPG") with a strong emphasis on exploration, character development and turn-based battles. This genre is one of my personal favorites that I enjoyed playing most when I was growing up (and still enjoy a lot now as far as time allows). I can promise you that Rainbow Moon is going to be massive, and it's got all the features that you want from a traditional RPG. First of all, it will take you around 30 hours just to play through the main story mode, but that's far from all what the game has to offer. Your playtime can be extended to 100 hours or longer if you want to complete all side quests and achieve full character development. More...

Back for its 9th year, the <a href="http://us.playstation.com/psn/events/granturismoawards.html">Gran Turismo Awards</a> is ready to crown a new performance vehicle with the honor of being digitally recreated in a future edition of the <a href="http://www.gran-turismo.com/">Gran Turismo franchise</a>. The awards ceremony will be held this Thursday evening, November 3rd at 9:00pm (PST) at <a href="http://www.marqueelasvegas.com/">Marquee Nightclub</a>, located in <a href="http://www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com/">The Cosmopolitan</a> of Las Vegas hotel. Story by: CritiKiL Despite low broadband speeds, many people still using dialup, download caps and limited hard drive space…market research company ‘Newzoo’ has made a rather unusual prediction:*Grand Theft Auto V*will be released as a digital-only product. Newzoo’s report states: There are a lot of reasons why publishers are pushing towards digital distribution of triple-A games. Speaking out loud might harm the relationship with retail partners, but the benefits have become too large to remain silent about the desire to go completely digital. The ultimate objective being to launch games faster, create continuous revenues on a title and simply to make more money. Will retail disappear from the picture? Of course not. Retail will always remain an important channel to promote and distribute games. Retail has a strong hand to play when it comes to eyeballs and… boxes make a nice gift. Continuing: Boxed games will not disappear, but what is in the box will. That is why the boxed GTA V version will contain a collectible piece of merchandise and a download code. No disc. We will probably find out*in less than four hours, when the*GTA V*trailer officially debuts, but we’d be incredibly shocked if the game, which will be at least 8GB (but likely more) ends up being a download only product. We’re truly living a fighting games renaissance. Ever since Street Fighter IV reignited the genre in 2009, we’ve been getting a number of interesting and diverse fight titles, ranging from the lush visuals of BlazBlue to the air combo extravaganza of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. Along the way, we had <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/tag/the-king-of-fighters-xii/">The King of Fighters XII</a> from <a href="http://www.snkplaymoreusa.com/">SNK Playmore</a>, touted as a “re-birth†of the traditional 3-on-3 series. And although it really gave new life to the franchise with gorgeous hi-def 2D sprite art and sleek animation, the game delivered little in terms of contents. Two years later, SNK Playmore is hard at work to regain the crown with <a href="http://www.atlus.com/kofxiii'>http://www.atlus.com/kofxiii">The King of Fighters XIII</a> for <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/category/ps3/">PS3</a> courtesy of <a href="http://www.atlus.com/">Atlus</a> in the US. And based on the prospects, 13 seems to be the lucky number for KOF. The game was originally launched in Japanese arcades back in July 2010, being praised by fighting game connoisseurs for its vastly expanded roster (31 playable characters, including the return of fan favorite Mai Shiranui), revised fighting system (with faster gameplay and elements from previous titles in the series), and a multi-path Story Mode (with the conclusion of the Ash Crimson trilogy).
