So it seems no one is interested. I was looking forward to playing some SOCOM again on a competitive level.

I am curious if there are any clans that would be interested in a Socom Confrontation comeback tour. I know there are still many clans that still have active members playing SC. It would be nice to play Socom on a competitive platform again.

Soulless Korps is Recruiting I'm Col. F_E_A_R_L_E_S_S1 BF3 Leader/Clan Founder with a little message to spread for all those looking for a more realistic, tactical, and fun BF3 and/or GR Future Soldier experience. The Soulless Korps operates like a real Marine Unit, with ranks, awards, promotions, medals, badges, uniforms, and is the real deal. A good number of our members are active in the US Military. Once you are accepted as a recruit, you will begin SOI (school of infantry) where you will learn all the information, formations, and tactics used in BF3. We have real time training with our drill instructors, training is as real as it can get! You can train on the "Soulless Korps server" or any empty server and then use those skills on the battlefield. A little more on how the unit is compiled. We have the Soulless Korps Platoon which is composed of ground-pounding devil dogs. Being in the Korps you will use boat insertions, HALO drops, and other tactics used by real Marines. Next is the Gunrunners, this is the Avaition Combat Element (ACE). The Gunrunners are the pilots for the Marines, inserting them behind lines, dropping them from 500m, or providing close air support. Once more members are enlisted the Force Recon will open up. This consists of Scout Snipers and other forces used behind enemy lines. In order to enter Scout Sniper school you have to qualify Expert Marksman during your SOI (school of infantry) rifle training, then pass through Scout Sniper school. Next we have an Armored Group to provide close armor support. Scheduled training times are avaible at our website, www.clansks.com where you can also fill out an application to join. Battlefield 3 tournament details and a timeline will be posted very soon. As for Ghost Recon, Soulless Korps will be active and will participate in any tournament provided.

I noticed the UF server is Normal Mode which I never play. My clan and I only play hardcore mode. The hardcore mode is more realistic when it comes to killing someone with only a few rounds rather than a whole clip. Also, in hardcore you can't see your ammo count which is also more realistic and there is no health generation. If the UF server was hardcore and mostly conquest I would play in that server every day.

I prefer a normal ticket count. There is nothing worse than playing in a high ticket server and the game freezes toward the end of the match. Sent from my LS670 using Tapatalk 2

I like the clan support and gun customization but the cover system, cloaking, and over the shoulder shooting doesn't interest me.

Sorry I posted this in a new thread and didn't see this post. It is a sad day indeed. I hope that some developer out there picks up the pieces and continues the legacy of SOCOM.

Although a third person shooter sounds good I am stuck on Battlefield 3 and I will most likely be purchasing DUST 514.

The dev behind SOCOM, MAG and Unit 13 has been shuttered. Update: Last week, rumors were swirling that Zipper Interactive, the Sony-owned studio behind SOCOM, MAG and Unit 13, has been shut down. Today, Sony released a statement to IGN confirming Zipper Interactive has indeed been shuttered. The statement reads as follows: "Sony Computer Entertainment can confirm the closure of Zipper Interactive, a Seattle-based internal game development studio that has been part of the global development operation of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS). The closure is a result of a normal cycle of resource re-alignment within SCE WWS. Zipper has complete all work associated with its most recent project, Unit 13 for PlayStation Vita.
