The release of this game is insane. The only good news for those of us that don't have it is the stats will all be reset.

Yea I read about the leaderboards being reset but its still making me crazy. My clan is foamin at the mouth

GameStops in Northeastern states such as New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio are selling Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 early, granted special dispensation from Activision due to street-breaking mom-and-pop stores.

 

Here in Atlanta we still have to wait until Monday's midnight launch to pick up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but lucky folks in several Northeastern states are getting their copies earlier. According to a GameStop employee I spoke to in Bowling Green, Ohio, Activision granted certain area stores special permission to sell the game early, in order to stem the tide of lost customers picking their copies up early from local mom and pop stores.

 

The employee actually greeted me with "Thank you for calling GameStop, where you can pick up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2." Calls to my local GameStop stores were greeted with claims of jealousy and invitations to come by Monday night to pick up my copy. Dammit.

 

Thanks to C & C Games for sending us a copy of their receipt, and everyone in New York and Pennsylvania who sent in tips. Lucky bastards.

 

The comment section would be an excellent place for you to bitch about the general unfairness of all of this.

I am just juiced I will be getting it this evening.

 

Oh it has nothing to do with stats, it has to do with the unlocks. Remember this isn't like Socom you only start out with 4 guns available to you. And while the first few ranks are quick there are things like the radar jamming perk and claymores that take at least a day to get to. Not to mention I have my M4 all tricked out because I've completed all the weapons attachments for it. So it will definitely give those who have been playing all weekend a clear advantage for a few days.

Exactly, I don't care about stats either. But do care about someone having a clear advantage because I live in a state where the Gamestop's are releasing it early. They need to reset the stats, period.

Again, I'm not too concerned with someone having an advantage...I will just sick my Minion's on them, and we will take your weapon and use it against you. :-*

I tried talkin my Gamestop into just lettin me have it when I when in at lunch and paid it off. NO luck LOL Guess I'll see everyone after Midnight.
